Speaking from personal experience, the homie had the studio. He would make a verse and then write a chorus that had nothing to with it. Thanks to him, I have my own studio now. 😂
I swear they still out there saying we hatin when all you had to do was change your verse. But his studio, his way. I bounced and said delete my verse. I can't fucl with this song. I'll Holla. Got myself a mic and fruity loopz, got my ppl on and never went back.
I was taught at a young age as a young artist to make sure that I construct my songs like book or story format where it has a theme a beginning a middle an end and I stayed on topic The hook should correlate with the verse and the version correlate with the hook and that's your correlate with the title of the song and when you do the video it should all correlate also. I love crank Lucas and I hope to do some work with him. I'm a former producer and tourmate with international platinum hip hop group Nappy Roots.
OMG.... Crank, you just brought back my past trauma as a producer back in the day when i would have a whole 3 man group come in to record a song, and EVERYBODY VERSE would be about something completely DIFFERENT!!! Like, you nigguz sat in ya homies grandmama basement and wrote yall verses and NOBODY said, "aye bruh, that dont fit the song."
Bruh what about the part where u know how to help make it fit with out fucking up the song but they don’t wanna listen cuase they hard headed …… like it my job as a producer and engineer to make ya shit come to gather
@khizararif1355 in slavery time when black men were allowed to vote it was only counted as 3/5s to a white man 1. Because in those days we were considered 3/5 of a man. In other words it would take 3 to 5 black male votes to equal one white man vote
@@khizararif1355 Historically, of the 3 main homosapien categories; caucasoid/mongoloid/negroid, scientists or much rather eugenicists considered the negroid race to be less human and more animal. So, as animals are living on earth for free why were the negroids forced into a harder way of life (slavery) beyond that of a 'full human being'? is what the line refers to. A 3/5 person was a slave. Only a person free from slavery considered a citizen.
You thought his intentions were to sell a beat? The message clearly went over your head, and the fact that 99 ppl liked your comment tells me our species is doomed.
Only Crank Lucas can laugh at himself because he was told by himself to rewrite because the verse heard had was not as hard as the verse he heard from himself
Actually the concept could work on an actual song. Showing the opposite ends of the spectrum: an activist who's trying to lead his people to greatness and equality and on the other end is the individual who is too worried about enjoying his life today to worry about tomorrow's problems
Crank checks all the boxes: Wordplay, flow and sticks to topic… AND HE DROPS CONSISTENT FIRE!!! Crank is better than the majority of rappers on the radio. The social commentary verses and hook was entertaining, educational and relevant!
You need to make whatever adjustments you deem necessary and make this into a real song and release. The beat is nice, the message is relevant - make it happen ..and keep up the good work!
at least it's roots were positive and people living life. Just speaking about how the world sucks is just like watching Negative eye witness stories (NEWS)
that was fire we need more rappers talking about the true struggle that is going on in today's world and what the African american community is facing.
Tbh wasn't going to hit ya with the facts but...most of the "stuggle" is cap or self inflicted. All that woke ish about community nonsense or "racial injustice" is cap an the final bars used weren't even factual like red lining? Really crank you'd be shook at who uses it cause Jim crow an the legitimate after effects of it are too far in the past to be apart of anyone's "struggles".. I could elaborate more about the woes but nobody wants to Take actual responsibility so why bother? If you whine bout woke ish but still bang that migos or drill or most of rap or hiphop(yall stfu bout under ground cause it's dead art literature at best or a bunch of rappers who can't make cohesion on a Track for mainstream songs thus failing as a rapper by the very minimumstandardsof rap.) at the end of the day you're doing no better in fact youre contributing to the problem just like those who ignore politics or say "why can't we separate the artist from the art?" Bish go be weird in the corner bumping Kelly and keys
Sad thing if they talk that real they may not get heard they will be a underground rapper where only a select few know who they are rap game is a dirty game if u tryna get the fame true story
You know what my DMV bruva, I’m seriously proud of you in how you using your creativity. I hope others are encouraged to use theirs as well. Keep it going my guy.🎉
I feel played because you making all these good ass songs for jokes!!!! Man I wanna here you make an album. It might not sale to good because people only like dump shit like sexy red!!!!
"Bro, the song is supposed to be about social justice and activism." "I'm bring bootie cheeks together like justice on social media... And I'm sipping Actavis!" Bro.... That was a SERIOUSLY underrated joke. Activism to Actavis. That's genius holy shit.
Yo, this track 🔥 🔥 someone needs to make a whole album like this with every song half and half. Few ways to do this, but some level of cohesion is suggested. 2 people start in the same place but end up different due to choices and experience, or vice versa. Or maybe having diametrically opposed view of the same situation. But however you do it, EVERY. VERSE. MUST. HIT. It would be 🔥🔥🔥
I feel this. I enjoyed this all the way around with what you did here. The way the video is filmed, your concept, and performance meet the expectations of the video’s title.
This is one of the hilarious things that I think just about every person who has ever written rap music has done. Usually you got a hook that's hard as f*** that you got saved up somewhere. And you got verses all of which you wrote separately that you're just trying to smash together in one song so you'll have a complete song. It's the best thing when you spot it. It always completely undercuts any seriousness in the song and a lot of people that do it I think are trying not to take themselves too seriously. They just want to enjoy riding the bars.
RIP Rich Homie Quan! His Verse on Lil Dicky "Save that Money" was Fire, just completely off topic! It was played up for comedy, and it worked. First thing came to mind.

💯🎯💎
Facts
Can you explain the bar? I don't get it

That is the most ingenious way to sell a beat. Showing that you can damn near rap any style to it. Bravo Crank. Bravo.
He's a beast at writing songs.. I wonder if he gets help writing them or he does it all himself??
You thought his intentions were to sell a beat? The message clearly went over your head, and the fact that 99 ppl liked your comment tells me our species is doomed.

That one was 🔥 “I kno, you should rewrite YOUR verse” damn dawg
He's so humble..lol
I died laughing
This dude lost Hella weight. Shoutout to bro

That's a track the other Lucas could do.
If you're American then Americans should be your people, not just someone with your same skin tone.

The unfortunate thing is that this will get 100 fold more attention than the “real” song because people love skits. And this was a good one 😂
