+Dan Angermaier I want you to know as a drummer I consider you one of the most underrated drummers I've ever heard and a huge inspiration to this 16 year old. The way you bring everything to each song works so perfectly, yet it isn't what I think most drummers would do first. (Also, makes these songs the funnest to play!) Keep it up, just know there's still a lot of fans!
Thanks Nickster706 for the very kind words Very honored that my playing is an inspiration to you . My approach to playing is it has to always come from the heart Love to hear your playing some time. Please post a video of you playing to a TMF song or whatever you feel. if you dont want to send it on you tube, look me up on facebook and send it to me personally
I can remember when we finished writing this and arranging this song .. no one was going home until it was done .. it was amazing .. the greatest times with the most talented musicians I have ever been with .. I was truly blessed to reach so many with this band.. so Thank you all !!
I appreciate I'm relying to a 12 year old comment here, I discovered this song from a Rishloo playlist on Spotify, and this song has just hooked me for two weeks straight. You guys really created something special with this one. The bass groove on your drums, the layering of the guitar melodies is such a vibe. Ray's voice carried such emotion when he brings in those rasps. If you told me this song was inspiration for 'Fear Inoculum' by Tool, I'd believe it. I hope you're well, and thanks for making this song.
Peridon is your own personal dream.. your heavan and hell... a place of nothing and everything... where there is nothing but the feeling of the power of the groove... We believed we took you there when we played... hence the 2 tickets... one for you, one for me. ... Peridon was the place that you wanted it to be.
This song is about a dream that Ray had while we were writing the song. "Peridon" is the place where you ascend to.. we tried to get there whenever we wrote and played.... hence the "two" tickets... one for you, and one for me.
Ray Ray's little sister Briana, who is only 6, loves this song. It is her favorite song by her big brother! She listens to his cd and plays her guitar and sings in her micropophone. Will have to try to record it one day and share it. She loves and misses Ray very much!
One day my stepdad introduced me to this band and told me that he was very close to ray. I actually had the privilege to play on the same guitar as ray had played. My stepdad gave me two of Ray's picks and I still play with them today. He was truly and amazing artist. R.I.P. Ray
So I was just listening to Rishloo's "Feathergun in the Garden of the Sun" and it told me to check this... God am I glad I did! The singing is fantastic and that guitar riff is just beautiful!

5 years later the algorythm's still got it going on.
This song is the most powerful songs I have ever heard ! Even I am a metal head but still. Love progressive music, etc. But this song its just beyond anything. Guitars, drums, vocals - absolutely everyone has a bomb. Love it. Hail all !
I can't stop listening to this song...it lifts me up to somewhere, to a state that i didn't even know about. When I hear the tunes I forget all my troubles, and I feel like I am floating in the middle of space and eternity... absolutely inspiring. It makes me think about my own life and I really believe that I found something candid in this song
Most people stop a few inches away from success and give up and accept defeat. You guys are so close to becoming a great and legendary band. We all know you can write and perfort great hits. Author of the book Perfume got rejected by 40 Publishers before he found one. He sold Millions of books and made 10 Million with the Movie. And gave us all a great book they now read at schools. Because he did not give up. Mayan Factor is closest band ever to being big like Tool or u2!
I found these guys on a deftones forum, a fan posted their myspace I think at the time and I was a little stoned and decided to check them out, to this day I am still not disappointed that I did, RIP Ray
and if you guys see this and ever need a singer I can hit everynote he can, prob not with as much passion as the guy who wrote it but with a decent real hard try to recollect what we've tried to forget that he brought forth again
I stumbled upon this band about two yrs ago and they have been my favorite ever since. Ray's lyrics were dark, painful and yet, utterly beautiful at the same time. He will be missed!
this song makes me sadder then it used to.. i use to feel so happy when hearing this song.. my brother LOVED this song and this BAND.. but passed away in October.. hard to watch this i feel like yesterday we were together at Fletchers watching you guys perform..
Peridon is assumably his Imaginary Paradise, from what I figure, an art Heaven or so. Then I noticed there were 3 idiots here who clicked Dislike, obviously no feeling for good music at all, this Band was Monumental and its a disgrace they never made it big and a Shame that Ray had to leave early. The only thing we are missing is a LOVE THIS button!
I heard this song as a background to a You tube on Don Juan Matus of Carlos Castaneda ( read almost all his books) fame and I loved that song. After all these years I found out who the band is let alone now the title to this awesome song. Better late than as they say. When I saw the lyrics I was also curious of the word Peridon. For some reason it reminded me of the movie Road to Perdition. I'm weird, thank you man your cool
@@robertmoran4273 where can I find this video You tube on Don Juan, with Warflower as a background?! I'm very surprised (or maybe not...) because I felt something very strong about this song, linked to the nagual...
just back from the club where this song was played - again... I can not explain, what i feel while listening to this song.... I just hope that I'll maybe someday able to create something moving like this masterpiece...
Ray Ray, though I truly barely knew him, has left a lasting impression on my life. I remember so vividly the very first night I saw him at the 8x10 - things only progressed from there. Thank you for who you were. PeaceLightLove=You
I'm listening to this on some hifi headphones with a DAC and it sounds amazing! Been a fan of you guys for a long time. RIP Ray, he's ascended to peridon
Thanks a lot . Now it makes even more sense ..... I still had a summer of dreams 2007 with this song. I made holiday with a girlfriend at the netherlands beach and we heard it again and again it was a dream ..... thanks ..... If you come over to Europe we will try to see you. You have more fans over here than you´ll know :) Hopefully your band find together again ....
Mayan Factor did awesome Songs and Albums. Too bad almost nobody knows about them. I am confident MF could become as big as Tool if they kept working. You are better than Tool. Warflower,Terrorist, are among the most beautiful songs of the last 10 Years! With a little more determination and persistence all the former songs will get available to a huge audience if you guys just keep working and trying. Do another album, make it even better , try, try, try and you will have success and be a legend!
I just discovered The Mayan Factor about a month ago and purchased In Lake 'Ch (where does that apostrophe go anyways). Great music to code to. Warflower is a great start to what's going to be 55 minutes of deep work. Love it. I also have Yesterday's Son. Thanks!
It's been a year since I met The Mayan Factor. Of course with Warflower. Now I know every single song they made and can't wait for the new album Yesterday's Son (even I listened most of it's songs already) I love you guys, I connected with you somehow.
111,000 views and almost 900,000 plays on last.fm. I've been listening since In Lake CH came out and I never in my life imagined they'd hit this point. Well done guys for great albums and the evident buzz you created amongst the underground.
I don't know how I missed this gem, but I only stumbled upon it last week. Since then, I've been listening to it non-stop. Thank you for it. It resonates very deeply with me.
I was just starting to really like this band. Sucks that the singer had to die like that. RIP man, you went out in the way of the rockstar, but you certainly won't be forgotten by those who loved your music.
I drank from the fountain... it was sweet and wonderful... dripping with delicious... all that I have tasted since has left me longing... I miss you Ray.
I remember I first heard these guys when they opened for Big In Japan at Fletcher's in '04. (If you're a Baltimore local you should know who B.I.J. are and where Fletcher's is) and they closed their set with this song. I remember being floored by what I heard, it sounded just as good live as it did in the studio. Insanely talented kid there singing, he wrote the music as well and from what Ive gathered he basically was the band with the other guys just there to support him. I dunno if its true but have heard from various Baltimore local music scene sources that he died a little while back of a heroin over-dose....such a shame.
I should know both of you, I'm friends with Kris who lived next door to his uncle Bill (also a friend) where he stayed before he moved in with Jeremy (friend of mine and Kris) who he was living with at the time of his death. We introduced him to his wife Krista, who I have lost touch with since. Dan, the drummer and I are close now, and share a stage occasionally. I am in CARBONSTONE, he is in Black Angel Down. All that aside, he was a good dude with a great voice and song writing ability.
some times was it the last song on a rock / metal party. not one to kick all people out to clean the hall, just one to slow down and enjoy this beautyfull song and after the ending everyone goes out with a happy face and heart.
A fantastic song! Love the bass sound together with the drums. And that voice, what empathy and passion! Bought the album from USA (I live in Sweden) just to support the band and get quality sound!
Hey Its Dan, the drummer for The Mayan Factor.. Thank you for all the love and support. Wanted to let you all know we have decided to continue on
Just found you guys, I can't stop listening to all albums!!

@@TheUnluckyRooster Thats the same way I found them. I hate finding a great sounding band and finding out they have been broken up for years. :(
My gym trainer played this on the speaker a few months back.... It's rare sometimes to find such beautiful songs in such places... ❤❤

so deep and sad song. third day in my head...
Discovered this song 2019... I couldn’t stop it since. Glad I found them even if it was too late.
one of the most underrated bands ever
Song is badass period. Bass guitar, drums etc. But seriously give it up for the bongos baby, Erie touch, fucking love it.
I cant believe I've only heard this now.
Epic!
What a piece.
