These bags are amazing! We don't have anything like that over here in New Zealand. There IS a thing called Foodprint but it only offers reduced price individual items and a limited number of them. Quite what happens with items in bakeries, etc, I don't know. I suspect they get sold cheaply the following day. If they adopted the approach of Too Good to Go, I know a lot of low income families would be better able to feed themselves and not so dependent on hand-outs. I suspect there are hidden regulations preventing this concept being introduced though - our government does a lot of crazy things.
I would hope that government policy wouldn't prevent something like this which could help save food waste and provide lower cost food to people who might need it, that would be insane !

Hi Greeno. You should get to the Greggs outlet in Southampton. It’s better value than the magic bags. I used to live around the corner. I’m popping there later. It’s all stock left from the shops and things that may not look the best. For example 4 sausages rolls are £1.50. You need to ben there before 11 as they sell out quickly.

This is definitely a bargain. I also think Starbucks is also quite good. I got a Tuna Melt Panini, a Pain au Chocolat, a Fruit Toast, a Muffin and a Croissant for 2.99 the other day.
I'm not keen on their doughnuts so that would have been a disappointing bag for me! My local Greggs has stopped using TGTG and when I had a look on the app just now a couple other places I used to get from seem to have stopped as well. I still get the occasional Toby breakfast and roast dinner.
That's interesting - I have seen a couple of smaller independent outlets drop off the app round my way but not the major national companies. If anything they're putting more bags on each day, so they can spread out the leftovers between more people (and squeeze a little more money out of it I guess!)... I've not had a Toby bg for a long time - maybe I'll give them another go sometime !

One of the things I miss living in Malaysia is a good sandwich. The bread they use is weird here (sweet) and although Subway is here, its rubbish whereever you are in the world. I miss a Greggs Steak Slice (fresh out of the oven) a decent Cornish Pasty and of course a proper sandwich. We do have dam good donuts though.

You have to download the app called "Too Good To Go" - input your details and it will show you all the outlets in your area that use the app and have available bags. If you see something you want, and can collect within the advertised collection window then you just grab it, and take your phone to show the code when you go to collect ! It's remarkably simple.
Now is there still £2.59 ones. when i looked at one that was £2.59 were now over £3. since even the outlets have increase prices Are you sure about freshness,, since outlet gets stuff from places and sell next day. since collected at night and delivered the next morning to the outlet. yes its good value but not all put the same thing in every where. you have to think they still make a profit from it Outlet 4 sausage rolls are £1.79 any 2 pasties are like £1.40. sandwich 60p baget £1.40
In my area all the normal high street kind of outlets have bags at £2.59 - the ones in garages / service stations are £3.15 - I am not sure they are making a profit on the bags - I think they are getting some kind of return on items they would otherwise put in the bin. Halal will always show it’s halal! And anyways in the uk the animal still has to be stunned. A lot of jelly sweets with beef gelatin are halal. Oh they are tasty sweets as well if you come across any. 😊

I live in a fairly rural location, there are lots of options if I set to the maximum 30km radius, but not much actually that close. All are a drive away
