Nice one Greeno, back in the day, my Father ran shoots at that Estate and around 6 others in Dorset and Wiltshire, at that time Dad was a Gamekeeper in Buttermere, Wiltshire, oh those were the days. Trying not to bore you, but after Dad left there in 1968 he became the Warden at Hengistbury Head, we lived in the thatched cottage there, so that was my back garden!! Food looked great, the cheese alone would be costly!! 🤗🤗🌠🌠
Wow - you've had the full Dorset experience over the years haven't you :-) Not boring at all - I love to hear the little stories my viewers have relating to the videos!!
Interesting vlog mate! Last time I went for a TGTG bad from Morrisons they looked around and came back to say there’s no bags, despite TGTG emailing me to say it was ready for picking up!As I’d travelled into town especially I wasn’t best pleased especially when they texted to say there was nothing available when the staff were looking for my nonexistent bag of goodies….good to see you fared a lot better!!!
Well I love those chips/crisps & I hope you enjoy them too. Yes, I would buy that cheese - as a treat because I know that we would enjoy it as part of a cheese board. It was really good top see so much local produce - I hope its all good ! Love Dorset - been on the ferry from Poole to Cherbourg many times during the 12years we lived in France....miss all that 😔 Hmmm, beginning to wonder if Poole is in Dorset or Devon - forgotten🤔where the border is !!!!
@@GreenoEats Lucky you , enjoy your trip ! And I really have forgotten - that I meant Hampshire, not Devon (we'v lived in 2 places in Devon too !) Thats what 7years has done to my brain !
Oh we have our fair share of those kind of places as well :-) Still quite a few I haven't tried though so will keep bringing the Too Good to Go videos for a while yet!
That was a nice little bag of treats. My brother and I make little hampers for Christmas with goodies you would only buy once a year. I have started already. So I hope you enjoy the chocolate and the fudge. The goats cheese is something I would only buy for Christmas or Birthday. Noticed the raindrops on this video. Rain here too. Enjoy! 👍
Hey, Greeno! I like your adventures in odd shops! I have Literally No Explanation for the fascination that Magic/To Good To Go purchases have, but they are compelling indeed. Thanks for adding a layer to the cake!
I have never heard of too good to go bags before. This is really interesting. I don't think we have these in Ireland, never heard or seen one, but it's a nice idea. Thank you for sharing Greeno!
I think it is available in Ireland - whereabouts in Ireland are you? Maybe it's not a widely used as it is in my part of the world though. Best thing to do would be download the app (it's free) and take a lookif there are stores in your area using it!
Nice to see you greeno. I adore them Hummus Chips. In a strange way, you do have your cash worth there. The stuff is expensive, but great quality for the main. I would happily give you 4 quid for that. Great video mate.
The hummus chips are ok, I just prefer regular potato crisps. And I am not convinced that the hummus ones are healthier enough to be that much of a benefit 😂 I do this it was a fair bag for the money, and it's always interesting to see what you can get from a TGTG bag from a less standard place (or not Greggs, Toby, Costa etc.) Thanks for watching 🙂
To be fair, the products looked excellent quality and for the all in price, quite amazing. Wouldn't touch any of the stuff at their proper prices, which are rather silly and not being unkind, bearing in mind the sell by dates or best before that you mention, am wondering if it's a way of clearing out old stock.
28 Sept 2024 Wow 👌 amazing the Subscribers Greeno Congratulations 🎊 🎉 love The National Trust have it here in Australia 🇦🇺 😊 I love the chips have a bag like this! Greeno have you ever tried Vanilla isecream and Balsamic Vinegar?? My cousin loved it 😅😅 I am envious now 😅😅😅❤
That's fair enough, normally I do, but this was just a quick one to see what I got - seeing how the shorter format of video is received - appreciate the feedback
Hiya Greeno have seen a lot about these " lucky bags " ( sweeties from the old days 🤗) But its swings and roundabouts. If you're on a restricted income & have an inquiring mind & a brave outlook, it's got to be worth a go🤔. I'll have to send the wife out and see if I can save on the house keeping 😉😂🤣Information is always useful. Cheers Allan&Family
I have tried quite a few of these from different locations. Generally bags from bakers always come up trumps! I can imagine lower income families doing well with them, good way of getting a cheap treat for the kids
An interesting bag . . . Nothing there i wouldnt try . . Hope that cheese was nice . . With a port maybe ?? Take care Bye from New Zealand 🍻👋🇳🇿twa . . Im watching your back videos atm . . 👍
I find this bag series fascinating as I’ve never heard or seen them anywhere 🤷♀️. I take it that it’s via an app of some kind? 🤔 Best before is more to do with quality of taste it’s not an expiry/ use by date
Hi Greeno. I'd never heard of too good to go bags until I discovered your channel. I've downloaded the app but the only ones that seem to appear locally to me are Starbucks and Pound Bakery. As I'm on a low carb diet neither of these are much use to me 😂😂😂
Having Lancashire , Yorkshire and Cumbria as my playground there's no shortage of Farm Shops and consider ourselves very fortunate to have such a plethora of locally sourced produce. Love the little nugget about the building being brick originally 👍
@@GreenoEats yes it is iused to belong to a cheese club. But it became a bit expensive so iget a treat sometimes from Waitrose cheese counter now or Sainsbury's
I think it's very cool that they sell locally made produce. Not too sure I would have been too happy with that actual bag though. And on the fudge, you said 'made for'' not "made by' was that just a slip of the tongue or is the fudge actually not locally made, but just repackaged?
That will last another month plus in fridge. Our cheese is many weeks old. From goats. Sheep cheddar Leicester and many others. Cheese is a product that does last well. We only buy local. If it's Spain, or Portugal it's thrown back on the shelf.. Won't touch it.
That was worth the £4 just for the interest in trying things you wouldn't normally buy. Out of interest I looked up sheep's cheese in Waitrose and what they had was £6.10 so I don't think it's cheap anywhere!
Ha ha - I'll leave the obvious gags alone ! I ate a bit of it as is - and the rest I made into a dip, blitzed up with some chick peas, olive oil etc. Was decent !
Winner winner TGTG dinner...Sorry, that was rubbish, but it sounded funny in my head. That TGTG was a really good one apart from the cheese. The standard price of the Chococo chocolate bar by itself is £5; according to their website. The cheese worries me! They should really not include dairy products like that unless it has a very clear long "Use By" date on it and the shop has included it purely because they are overstocked and need to get rid of items.
Yeah the cheese was a bit of a challenging one, and I agree, dairy with no use by date is a worry. Chococo is certainly a premium brand, so that was nice to get. Just an interesting little mixture of things I might not usually buy really!
Im expecting an apple, a packet of crisps and a sweaty sandwich with equally sweaty fake rubber cheddar in it and some sort of nut and fruit wholefoods thing .... Right prediction done time to watch the rest of the video 😂
I haven't been anywhere in Africa at all - although I am hoping to change that soon if possible - probably not anywhere as far south as Kenya yet though!
I would have been disappointed with that bag . Mostly ultra processed nonsense, despite the “ healthy “ claims . No actual food . Except for the cheese .

Yep, agreed on "Best Before". Still not sure a cheese should have that rather than a "Use By" date though?
Go for more fat and less sugar which maybe more healthy.
