We love you Chris, you dont realise how happy you made me for doing this video, I always get nervous and anxiety kicks in when im at airports not knowing which way yto go, so im fglad you showed us this, not only showed us it but you also explained where we would go for check in etc, this is the reason why i love this channel so much
Ah yes, the TBIT at LAX again. I'm sure I commented on one of your previous videos of this venue but I'll comment again. This is the place that changed my life back in 2006. I did some consulting for a few months in Singapore and I left from LAX. I had no idea what I would encounter. It was friendships made that I still keep in contact with today through FB. I still visit Singapore every few years. Not only the friends, but the experience of living in another country and experiencing the perspective of how other people think. The TBIT has changed quite a bit in the last 19 years. Thanks for the video tour. I hope to fly out of there next year once again.
The International terminal at LAX is really impressive! I had a layover at LAX when traveling to Sydney last month as well as back from Sydney a couple weeks ago, and I got to explore the terminal since I had long layovers and was flying out of Terminal 3 for Delta. It is quite nice to walk around in the terminal!
My mom and I ate at the former Encounters revolving restaurant at LAX. Circa 2008-2009 .if memory serves me right. I think ( don't quote me on it) LAWA turned Encounters into the USO. I was a student at LMU ( Loyola Marymount Uni) when they widened the tarmac to allow the 380 to land and remember watching a Quatas Flight A380 land at LAX. LAWA missed out on a mint not having an In a Out in the Airport in my humble opinion😊. Anyone who can't make it to TBIT's See's outpost, they always stop at the Fox Hills Mall( Formal name Westfield Shopping town Culver City but no one really calls it that.) Or if they're coming from the Westside, down La Cienega, they can stop in at the factory store on La Cienega and Jefferson where incindenly there's a park and ride station for the Mextro Expo ( E) which connects to the Crenshaw LAX (K) line at Crenshaw and Exposition, and further to downtown L.A and Azusa via the Regional connector at the 7th street Metro station in Dwntwn LA. And west to Santa Monica ( Expo Line) The K line will connect to the Green line (c line) and Automated People Mover once it opens sometime in 2026 if not sooner. While I understand some of the gripes people have with LAX, people also need to remember that LAX was built in the 50s a d 60s when there wasn't much in Westchester and over the last 20+ years that I know of LAWA has been doing it's best to modernize and trust me I can tell some stories about some the articles written in LMUs campus newspaper when I was a student about the community mettings with LMU and the homeowners who have homes that buttup against the airport. I've never had any issues getting to and from LAX, granted i live 10 minutes aways and have always had rides to and from the airport from family and friends etc which were straightforward even not hitting any traffic on Sepulveda and I've flown out of LAX the evening before Thanksgiving in 2017 with no trouble to Dallas.
I wouldn't say much of LAX is pretty rundown (3:04). Every terminal has been going through a remodel, including current work on American's and recently finished Delta's. The other terminals aren't shabby either, except for that old commuter terminal east of terminal 8, which is scheduled to be shutdown. There's also the up-and-coming people mover (Skylink) along with it connecting to light rail and the largest car rental facility in the world. The lower level arrival road isn't the best, but it is what it is.
I hope whatever the rebranding plans are at LAX , TBIT stays branded as Is. Tom Bradley was such a great leader, one of the best LA. has had. He was a bridge builder, in terms of cross cultural relationships both at home and when foreign leaders came to L.A. I had turned 10 two months before when the L.A. Riots occurred in 1992 and remember vividly how he spearheaded the peaceful recovery and healing along with a coalition of ecumenical faith and community leaders from across faiths and ethnic backgrounds including the Late Cecil Murray, long time senior Pastor of First AME Church and Rabbi Marbin Hier, founder of the Simon Wisenthal Center and Museum of Tolerance. Though I was a toddler (2 years old) when the Olympics were here in 1984, Tom Bradley was instrumental in bringing the Games here. It'll be a great boost to.his legacy to have all of the Olympians arriving inb and departing from LA to walk through TBIT when the games are here in 2028. By the, he'd been gone for 30 years I was lucky enough at 11 to have had the chance to meet Tom Bradley when I was 11 and have a Polaroid of he and i and my mom in his office @ City Hall. That was possible due to a church member of the church my parents and I attended as a child and my godfather who had worked in Tom Bradley's administration in the early 80s and was by them had been appointed by the former mayor as the Executive Director of the Port Of LA until 1997.
Thank you for this! Have to fly out of LAX next summer (instead of my usual SD INTL.) and not too familiar with the TB West Gates. This is a great primer to see before I go. Question: Have you visited the Air France lounge yet? If so, how was it? Many thanks. 🙏
Is the airline pronounced (eh-vah), (ee-vah), or (ee-vee-ay)? We should settle this once and for all 👀 But for real, thanks for the informative video Chris! Very well done!
You looked a bit sweaty at the end, Chris. Was it the long walk or the yummy Ramen? At $19, that's got to be the best value at TBIT. I never eat anything at LAX as I always visit the in-n-out before I get there.
Hi, Chris! New subscriber, here. Very glad to have found your channel. This post about the Bradley terminal is quite timely. I'm going to Fiji next week via Fiji Airways out of LAX. I'll be flying Delta to/from LAX (terminal 3) from my home base of Detroit. I'll have a 5 hour layover at LAX going to Fiji so no worries there. My question is about my return. I'll have 2.5 hours between my arrival from Fiji at LAX and my departure for Detroit out of terminal 3. Do you think 2.5 hours is enough time to go through customs (I have global entry and don't plan on checking a bag) and get to terminal 3 for my Delta flight? My only other option is a flight with a 6 hour layover.
Hi PC -- Assuming your flight is on time then yes. 2.5 hours with Global Entry and no checked bags is plenty. Global entry usually has no or a very short line at LAX
Wee try and avoid lax when traveling to the states as one connection flight was late and we arrived at lax and we had to run as we were told to do from one terminal to anothe in 14 mins. The attendant gave us written instructions to get to. Another tetminal to catch a connecting flight.and told us to run. So yesh we try and avoid the palce. We have ner run so fast.we only just nade the flight.
To each their own.. yes. They've been remodeled..but they still can't keep it clean. Particularly the restrooms are gross.. and the lower level outside in the Horseshoe still is an awful place to wait for a shuttle
I don't smoke. But you might like to tell your viewers who do that there's smoking area (outdoors), just past that Umami burger in the International Terminal food court.
Been there many times. I have found out "good and affordable" food is like Mission Impossilbe 9. It's all about the "high end and high end". The most absurd place I saw was a Rolex store.
It is the worst traffic . However. Once the train opens I predict a Total change. You will be able to park and an outside station and drop people off then take the train back . I certainly wouldn’t drive to the terminal. It’s just like Perth airport, they built a train and now I tell people don’t bother coming to the airport I’ll take the train and you can pick me up at the station .

Wow, you make LAX look exciting!!!!!!!!!! amazing
Excellent tour .Just what I needed

Awesome! Yes. Great worldwide connections out of TBIT!
Thanks for the info + video!
Hi Chris. Thanks for the tour. Pretty nice international terminal. Take care.
Thanks James!
The dark walnut square is my favorite See’s candy too! It is also my mom’s favorite! I send them to her in Atlanta all of the time! 😊
Mmm. Yummy!
Thank you for sharing Chris!
Love your channel sooo much!!!
Thanks Debbie!
My favorite terminal when I’m traveling out of LAX 😬😬😬

The Delta terminal is nice too! I have a walking tour queued up on that terminal too
Nice place
The trek from T6 to TBIT and the satellite terminal is worth it for planespotting!
Great video thanks. I always like to watch yore videos. I watch yore from queens new York
Welcome to LAX Airport.

That so weird seeing a pret in LAX. I guess I don’t have to go all the way to London now lol
i have a 6hrs layoff is that enough to visit gyfrith observatory? from here
Traffic in Los Angeles can be pretty rough. Not sure I'd personally want to chance it
Beecher‘s ❤❤❤ I love cheese, so I couldn’t miss out on the Pike Place Location when I was in Seattle

Very cool! Yes. I hope TBIT gets to stay Tom Bradley 😀
Been to LAX a few times. I noticed on the Departure board that Qantas Flight QF94 to Melbourne was cancelled 😢
Wow, I will have to tackle this airport alone in September. Any idea how far it is from security to the Hawaiian airlines gates?
Far.. the Hawaiian gates are in the Satelite terminal.. so you have to go through that tunnel
Flying there in 8 weeks
Thank you for this! Have to fly out of LAX next summer (instead of my usual SD INTL.) and not too familiar with the TB West Gates. This is a great primer to see before I go. Question: Have you visited the Air France lounge yet? If so, how was it? Many thanks. 🙏
Awesome sarseer.. but no sorry. Never been in to the Air France lounge. I'm usually at the Amex Centurion Lounge or Star Alliance lounge in TBIT.
Is the airline pronounced (eh-vah), (ee-vah), or (ee-vee-ay)? We should settle this once and for all 👀
But for real, thanks for the informative video Chris! Very well done!
Hah. Good question 😀
I always thought it was E.V.A
You looked a bit sweaty at the end, Chris. Was it the long walk or the yummy Ramen? At $19, that's got to be the best value at TBIT. I never eat anything at LAX as I always visit the in-n-out before I get there.
It took me 40 mins once to walk from one terminal to another . I thought I’d gone the wrong way . My legs hurt 🤣
Yeah. It's a long long walk!

@@YellowProductions , thank you kindly! And yes, fingers AND toes crossed that my arrival flight from Fiji is on time! 🤞🏼
Did you check in your bag before you get to duty-free?
Yes. Bag check is before duty free
@@YellowProductions thanks 😊
So, Chris…where were you off to on This particular airport visit? (What I’m usually wondering when you do one of these…)
Philadelphia 😀
Wee try and avoid lax when traveling to the states as one connection flight was late and we arrived at lax and we had to run as we were told to do from one terminal to anothe in 14 mins. Didn’t realize there was an Umami burger…the one at Irvine Spectrum is Very good ($20 burger good? Umm, probably not…)
Most terminals have been updated in the last 10 years, so saying much of LAX is rundown is incorrect.

Yeah.. LAX needs more food of the good and affordable variety
SYD > LAX > JFK only sends the through the TIBT. i didn't see much. the other way sends me through terminal 4.
LAX is THE WORST. The traffic is insufferable. Give me John Wayne, Long Beach, or Burbank any day rather than LAX.
I’m partial to Ontario airport,myself
It will get better next year with the APM - metro connection and with all ride shares being omitted from the horseshoe
It is the worst traffic . However. Once the train opens I predict a Total change. You will be able to park and an outside station and drop people off then take the train back . I certainly wouldn’t drive to the terminal.
