Much love, Squad Fam
-Eric
Well said! I recently had an engagement shoot with a friend of mine. Going into it, I was very relaxed and not really excited about it. But as I was packing up, I thought about my wife and I's engagement shoot years ago and how important it was to us and how much time we spent picking locations, outfits, etc., then I had a fresh perspective and tried to be really intentional during my session with this couple.
So good! Visualizing from their perspective is such a good way to empathize.
Penny & Sparrow from the jump...immediate thumbs up.
NOTHING feels better than making clients cry those happy tears.
Thank you. I forget this more than I’d like to admit. Always looking for those “cool things” to shoot. “The legacy of their images, it’s not about me”
Thank you. Truly.
Thank you so much for this wonderful story!! Outstanding and super insightful. You truly remind me of the reason on why I started doing wedding jobs and the reason I am in love with weddings all throughout these time. You have always been an inspiration for me but this video has gotta be the best one yet!!! I absolutely appreciate all your videos and simply a fan of you and your artworks Eric, all the way from Malaysia!!!
Really good reminder. Thanks for constantly remind me that serving our couples is the most important part of the process. Making them feel safe and making them embrace and stay focus on the moments is so so important. We don’t just shoot what we want but we create heirloom pieces that our couples can look back like a film.
I have been faithfully following what you have taught and applied it through my current batch of couples. It really breakthrough and really had good feedback and shock factors like Polaroids after a wedding, asking questions that matters to the couple and family, providing an extra miles (I take a few photos along my video shoot with my couples and immediately shared with them the following day)
All that really impressed them.. 🙏🙏
I can’t wait for your course on the end of the year!❤️
You are so good at blending creativity with intentionality and heartfelt service. Always so much to be learned from you. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this.
Loved what you had to say, and loved the opening backdrop! Hope you got your yacht back.
I almost had tears in my eyes, Thank you so much. This taught me alot.
Ok man this is the third video of yours in a row that has made me cry like a babyyyy. The stories you share between your clients and the thoughtfulness you pour into those connections is beyond inspiring
Can always count on your vids to put things back into perspective!! Always appreciate these soooo soooo much!
Love that you're using the shure outdoors! Sounds so crisp!
You're so well spoken. Thank you so incredibly much for sharing this. I'm feeling burnt out but it truly is all about the people.
This just made me know that as small as I am I am doing the right thing for me, for my clients. Knowing its about the "more" not always about being bigger and more epic than the last create. LOVE this!! keep putting your heart into your work it really has warmed my heart.
I strive for the amount of care and attention Eric shows each of his clients! Beautiful video man, given me another perspective on why I want to do pursue this career!
Great stuff Eric. You’re authenticity and professionalism is amazing. You deserve everything that has and will continue to come your way. Hope Burb Lyfe is treating you well.
The amount of times throughout this year that I have come back to this video to keep going and stay motivated and consistent in my post production process. Thank you for open us to new perspectives.
Very heartfelt and insightful. Definitely a mindset shift that I needed. Sometimes we get into this groove, especially with the ease of streamlining client management and automating certain tasks. It can really take the heart and purpose out of our jobs. Such a great reminder to stay mindful.
Yup. So happy it was helpful for you!!
I don't know why this made me so emotional... This really hit me hard! This was an amazing heartfelt video!💖
I have been experiencing deep burnout from continuing my new photography business. This video made me rediscover the “why” of this business - thank you!
Needed this this morning, thank you!
Man, this hit me right in the feels. A profound message, thanks for sharing.
this made me emotional honestly. I always thought weddings and events were boring, but you really changed my mind.
Absolutely!!! Going the extra mile is always key in my book. I love the theme and creativity put into this video. You have a great way of approaching your clients and the level of service you provide them shows what sets you apart from other photographers! Keep up the great work!!!
Man, thank you so much, Jose! I really appreciate that. :)
Maybe one day when the Aussie borders open up I'll convince my partner to elope in America and we can book you! Your work is always so inspiring and beautiful
Oh wow, I was not expecting to feel emotional while watching this video because I thought this is just another informational sort of tutorial video about photography but yup, I got emotional. And it's not only because of your story leading to Ben and his wife and the diet coke, but I felt you, Eric. I felt your sincerity in your craft. I haven't even finished the video but I subbed and liked right away! Sucks that I just knew about your channel but hey, I am just grateful I came across your video, made my day extra special. Followed you on IG as well! Thank you for all the things that you do, Eric! All the best, Brother!
Oh man. This means so much! Thank you, Christian!! What thoughtful words. Thanks for the support!
This is beautiful, Eric! Loved every bit of it. Your eyes depict a lot of emotions.
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience and knowledge with us. Saving this to keep coming back and reminding me about why I'm into photography. More power to you, Brother!
You’re so amazingly good at telling stories that I nearly cry every time you talk about how you made a special moment happen for a couple. The Diet Coke, the champagne and plastic cups. I can’t even imagine what they feel when they see the footage from those moments.
Thanks for the great advice! I haven’t started out freelancing yet, but i’m hyped on trying it. Videos like these really help a lot!🙏🏻
One of my favorite places i hung out when in Chicago! Thanks for another great video!
Eric this is 100% correct! The more you learn to serve others (your clients) and not yourself the more you will actually receive purpose and joy. Knowing your why will help develop your what, and that will increase your ability to figure out your how.
I am in the midst of cleaning my room/office and watching some of my favorite wedding photographers on RUclips to pump me up for my 4th wedding tomorrow I saw the title of your video show up in my notifications and was immediately intrigued. I love the story you told at the end about Ben and Emily. I have photographed a photographers wedding and I'm sure it could be daunting lol. This is what it's about! Love this video and why I take photos.
Thank you for this video!
And shoutout WRKSHP 2016!
I love every bit of this video. Thank you Eric.
Love everything about this message. Appreciate your insight, Eric.
Love these thoughts, thank you for sharing!
this is the best. it's easy to teach someone how to take good photos. but this is the part that really sets people apart from the rest.
Great content brother! Visited Chicago a couple weeks ago and was blown away! Much love from East TN🙏🏼
So happy you loved the city! Much love!
I'm just getting into the photography business and man, did this video give me another perspective! Thank you!
Eric, you are fabulous! This was so so helpful. Thank you dearly for sharing ☘️
You know I have been doing this work for 14 years, and in the beginning, I felt this way, and after watching this, I realized I lost the feeling of why I do photography. Thanks for being open and sharing, Eric.
Ah! This is so encouraging to hear!! It's so easy to fall back into repetitive patterns, but stopping and reflecting is always so helpful.
You are so genuine! Thank you for the amazing content!
Aw, thank you, Nichole!! Appreciate you watching!
Loved This Video. Definity Made Me Sit back and rethink
I just did photos for a adoption shower and I had a similar battle of the mind, went from 'what will they think of my pictures'- to - 'what would they want to remember about this day that I can capture' Took the pressure off and made me look at it differently.
Great video.
Thank you eric, I’m feeling burnt out and I needed this
Man you got me in the feels! I needed to hear this ! Thank you! ❤️
Thanks you for those words and advice!! Best video of this year for me.
Man, that means a lot. Thanks for watching!
Amen to this, serving our clients is of utmost importance!
👊👊👊
I am starting to go down the journey and thinking about doing the path of weddings and seeing this video helped me get the motivation to go for it
Dude this video was amazing, I am just getting into wedding photography and all of your videos help but this one was definitely the best.
“Serve your clients” ❤️
Also, why am I tearing up over Diet Coke…?
That's such a great idea to have them tell each other about their relationship!!! I love that idea!
Reflecting in that moment almost always brings up such a visceral, human response. It's so awesome.
This is so refreshing to hear! I think we all need this reminder from time to time. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!!
Thank you for being you Eric 🙏
intentionality is definitely part of the recipe to fulfillment. in whatever industry you're in. most industries (no matter how passionate they may seem) still comes down to hard work. it's all very repeatable by other individuals. it's the little things that will make you stand out and add to the level of fulfillment you feel at the end of the day.
Hi Eric, I started my photography business last year. I shoot products, food and drink mainly. My skillset was/is still not good enough (I'm always my harshest critic) but the single thing that keeps me in the business is - people skills. The way you can relate to your clients, to understand what is that they need you for and how to make the shoot (pre and post) more enjoyable and stress-free for them.
Thanks! Resonates so much.
This was so dope. Thanks for sharing with us.
So I forgot I had this tucked away on my watch later list for 10 months 😅
Thanks for the reminder of the why and also how we can truly serve our clients/friends. Keep doing what you do man
Thank you for sharing your perspective.
Love this! Such great advice and a truly special skill to have.
these are the words that I badly need to hear. Thank you so much!!!!

This video is just what I need
Such a powerful message
no words needed .. Thats why I am here on RUclips.. Thats why I follow you .. well said !
Thank you, Marc!
That „cola“ story breaks my heart!
On my memory card the same week: garbage waste,, shelter life, mountain biking and more garbage containers 😂
The most "boring" pictures this week is the most important in the bigger picture ♻️
Watching the wedding film I was so curious what the story behind the diet coke was! Thanks for clearing that up :)
Perfect mindset, Thank you!
So good to hear! Thanks for watching!
Could not agree more. It's about them and that is so rewarding in the long run.
Yup. The most sustainable approach, always.
@@EricFloberg Preach it!
Love it. Thanks Eric.
My pleasure! Thanks for checking out the video!
Love this!!
☺🙏
YES. ❤️
Good stuff!
litterallyyyy just shed tears about the diet coke smh fuck im happy i found your page today
I’m waiting for your workshop, Eric.
Damn
My business shoots corporate commercial work, however the 3 weddings I have done were all amazing experiences -
Long shoot days that I was willing to put the work in for
I have a strongly contemplated building a separate brand for weddings alone.
Bingeing your content has shown me it’s the right move
Great advice!! Thank you 😊 🙏🏽
Thanks for watching!
Best. Video. Ever.
thank you, Eric.
Thanks for watching. :)
The diet coke idea was so wonderful!
Thank you
Thank you for these videos
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Have you released Luts yet? I am getting into video and love the timeless look you have.
Totally agree with your points. Is all about serving the wishes of your clients and getting to know them as people and not just as income. And instagram likes have no correlation with an actual healthy and sustainable business.
100% - love that perspective on Instagram. It's so true. Businesses can also be so much more diversified than what's shown on instagram too.
So freaking good man! I seriously get so amped and inspired by you dude!!
P.S. “Hey!…. I…… I know you” 😂😂
my guy haha
Thank you for this
You're welcome. :) Thanks for watching!
Nailed it Eric.
🙏🙏🙏
Thank you,
amazing video
