    Bro your videos are truly a gold mine for photographers. I just want to say thank you as I just found your videos at the beginning of this year. My wife and I decided we needed to rebuild her photography business and brand after watching your videos after being in photography for 5 years she was not getting a lot of growth. I will say with a lot of your advice we are now seeing that growth and we really are hoping the long term growth continues and the investments and time we put in pays off. Again keep making this content it truly helps and shows where we can be one day! ❤

    Got into photography at the age of 31, in the middle of pandemic. I always have been artistic but had neglected it until I bought my own camera. Now it's my full time business. I'm a B2B enterprise. I offer product, food, lifestyle photography for business, as well as interior, architecture and other things business related. I agree to everything that you said. I diversified my source of income by providing education as well and getting into other businesses related to photography, such as design and printing.

    Hey Eric! I'm sure we all appreciate the transparency. I think something else that we all think about as a tradeoff for freelancers/creatives is the tradeoff & balance between an artist vs being a businessman. As you've scaled your business and diversified, how much time would you say you spend being a businessman micromanaging and operating your businesses vs being able to idle and be free to lounge about and make things willy nilly?

    Yeah man thank you so much for actually sharing where you’re at and attaching numbers to everything. It’s super helpful and HARD to find realistic numbers online. Question for you if you see this… I don’t see myself doing weddings long term, I’d rather do commercial work. However, I would rather make money with my gear and experience doing weddings solo (not second shooting anymore) than keep working as a server at a local restaurant lol. Is it worth investing into the wedding space now or should I just keep waiting to get into commercial stuff, which seems harder to find. Thanks!

    • @EricFloberg
      @EricFloberg  Год назад +1

      Thanks for watching!! Honestly, the wedding market is super easy to get into if you're diligent, make connections, and make good things. It's a great thing to have as a money-making tool, and you may find yourself enjoying it along the way. It's really about mentality at the end of the day. It may not feel exciting to shoot, but empathizing with your clients and recognizing that it's one of the most valuable days of their life, can truly change the approach and make it a magical experience.
