Viva Los Algodones! Two years ago I finished up all on 4 dental implants at Dental Solutions. It has completely changed my life! Great video! I hope this video assists others in finding happiness with their smile!
Hi Cathy, thank you for your comment. I'm looking for the same All on 4 implants, two arches, top and bottom. So full mouth. I've made appointments for all my teeth pulled (whats left of them) by an oral surgeon in just a few weeks (here). I haven't searched for a dentist in Mexico (Los Algodones) yet, but I've heard of sani dental. Here's my question: do they accept credit card as payment? I will ask them once I settle on a dentist there. Thank you in advance! And congratulations on your new teeth!
From the videos I watched they said most of them do take credit cards but there is an additional fee to use the credit card like 3 or 4% maybe? I was prepared to pay the fee and just use my credit card, but my dentist said she would take a personal check.
Thanks Cathy, for your review on Sani Dental! I came here looking for a great dental review, not a road trip with a car or walking across the border with shopping…. Ugh, there are tons of these on the internet, it’s so redundant.
Awesome choice in Dentist! I sent my "Treatment Plan" and X-Rays to five different dentist in Los Algodones, MX after a "Dentist in Sun City Arizona" wanted to replace an existing Implant because the crown on it was broken? Duh! Total cost was estimated at $17,600.00 USD for crowns, 3 implants and all the work the US Dentist recommended WHAAAT! I decided it was time for looking into dental tourism. Dr. Celsa Salmeron impressed me when she asked in her email response; "Is there something wrong with the Implant? Is it loose? I see no reason to replace it you just need a new Crown on it." After my first visit we discussed "Items of concern" she noted on my X-Rays sent to her. Four (4) crowns with decay in the bases needing new buildups and new crowns and ... A DEAD Tooth with a calcified root and visible infection at the base, AKA a "Abscessed Tooth" all of which was plainly visible in the X-rays the Sun City Dentist provided me. None of it was on his "Treatment Plan" that would have added a additional $5,000.00 + for a total of $23,,600.00 USD Dr. Salmeron was very professional and explained every detail while breaking down the price for each procedure required for each tooth. I was beyond pleased. In two days completed; two extractions, One Implant, and a Root Canal for a cost of .....$2,200.00 after two more visits everything will be done that I have needed for more than 15 years but could not afford. For everything $6,200.00 VS $23,600.00 I might add that the technology the Dental Specialist who came to her office to do the root canal was far better than the "Specialist" I have seen in the USA! I highly recommend shopping various Dentist in Los Algodones there are over 200 dentist in the small town and you have plenty of choices. All were willing to do all the work on my treatment plan.... but, ONLY Dr. Celsa Salmeron wanted to do the work that was NECESSARY! Highly recommend her office.

I've never been to Mexico before I was hesitant but would highly recommend it I too had extensive work done. And I mean extensive... I'm making plans just to return to have the cleaning done. Thanks @TJ Millin ! It’s good to hear from one of the #Snowbirds from #Canada! Sometimes we here in the #USA think we’re the only ones who have a hard time finding good affordable work. We’re so glad you had a good experience!
Lots of Canadians in town now, Canadian License plates everywhere. Great weather here now. I spent a month in Canada some years ago & I told the immigration/customs official that I was "bringing some money back to Canada" after the Canadians were spending so much in Yuma!
We've been there 5 times and tried several dentists. We've had good success with Rubio, Sani, Maria Gutierrez, and Circle. We did have poor work done at Lopez so I was wrong that any work in Algodones is going to be great. I was on a quest to visit a different one each time. I think I'll try yours next time. I've always thought there's a better one around the corner and I've gotten lots of referrals from people we've met there.
We've also stayed in Los Algodones at the California, Hacienda and the one next to Sani (Plaza?) hotels. They've all been good, but Los Algodones is dead in the evening. Also, we've found great deals in Yuma motels with good breakfasts which made them competitive with Mexico.

you said you did alot of research to decide which dentist... what kind of research did you do ? thanks. I got work done in progresso, and some of it was terrible and some great
I read reviews on line, I watched RUclips Videos and we met with 4 different dentists before choosing. I think that is the hardest part, taking a day to meet with a bunch of different dentists, but you can't do that in the US (because appts take so long to get and dentists are few and far between) and I think it is worth taking advantage of

Right?! Believe me I had the same question when I started this. Once you start researching four or five will start getting your attention and just start there….the more the better, yay for choices!
@@Cheesychesbros are there any incompetent dentists , I wonder if the Los algodones dentists supervise themselves to control for dentists that have not been trained , is there a Los algodones chamber of commerce section supervising 300 dentists , or is it the true wild west , the fact that there might not be a clearing house function is "interesting " , American physicians are really horrible when it comes to exposing dangerous Dr's , they just shuffle them to another hospital/state
You are absolutely correct there are bad dentists everywhere, that’s why you should do your research, Google reviews and other reviews come in very handy these days, I’m not sure I would’ve felt so comfortable doing this 20 years ago without having all the reviews of thousands of people who have done this before us
What's going on with that RV park. When I drove down there a couple of years ago, it was empty but it looked like they were trying to restore it. Now I see trailers and they all look the same. FEMA shelters for amnesty seekers? Some of those people on the street will ask if you want a lot more than dental or optical services.
Has the work you had done held up? Any issues? No matter how many people say it's all good, the idea of oral surgery in MX terrifies me - and I've lived and worked in MX.
I completely understand, except the idea of oral surgery scares me in the US just as much. So far yes but it’s only been two months but both of our teeth feel great. I highly recommend meeting with three or four different dentists because there are so many choices and you should be able to find someone that will make you very comfortable
Yes in fact on Saturday the crown didn’t fit right, our dentist sent it back to be redone on Saturday night and she came in on Sunday to finish it up. Which was amazing.
This was not an advertisement for the dentist we used, although we did like her a lot, we just wanted to show people that you had more than 300 options in one little town. I strongly suggest that everyone do their own research and interview their own dentist to find a good fit for them. We do show in the video in the end the dentist we use, but again we are not trying to promote one dentist we are trying to show that you have options in Los Algodones
@@Cheesychesbros THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO AND FOR THE TIME YOU TAkE TO ANSWER EVERYBODY... So many questions, some of US never been there but definitely are planning to go for dental work. MIND THE TERROR...lol . I am tired of waiting MONTHS for an effective appointment, not mentioning that an entire work can take up to a year or more.
@@ELFASHIONISTA that is exactly how I felt, I was so frustrated with the treatment they were trying to give Nate that I had to find other options and this was such a great alternative. And I wanted to make sure everybody knew they have choices don’t be afraid to meet with several dentist. I know it sounds taxing but it isn’t and you can make them all in one day and it’s amazing how comfortable it will make you feel just meeting with all of them.
I'm wondering if I should/could just stroll into town with my x-rays and a week off to get some major work done. 10 crowns and maybe an implant. Does this sound like a horrible idea to anyone? Lol. Thanks for the video.
Hi Brian, it’s not a terrible idea at all, it’s pretty much what we did, we decided on a Thursday to take the entire next week off, and on Thursday I was able to get four appointments by the next Tuesday, most of them were able to fit me in that next day on Friday but we weren’t going to be there by then. They are extremely flexible and you have so many choices that if one’s not available - move onto the next, I suggest meeting with a bunch of them as they are all different. But your thought is exactly what my thought was and exactly pretty much what we did with a few days planning, that’s why we ended up with the huge house we didn’t need, but we were saving so much in dental work that’s how I justified the cost😂
The Quechan casino hotel in the USA side is very safe and you are two minutes from the border. Good place to stay if it's your first time. DONT be afraid of going into Mexico you will enjoy it. Park your car on the US side and walk across
I think if people would take care of their teeth to begin with they wouldn't have problems with them in the first place I never had problems like that with my teeth brush your teeth twice a day with a good electric toothbrush I use Oral B, floss everyday sometimes twice & most of all cut sugar out from your diet & you won't ever have any problems with your teeth. Also I don't have to pay anything for my dentists in the US for cleanings my insurance pays for it but it does help to take care of your teeth too. These dentists in Mexico are making a huge profit off you since they don't deal with insurance like the US does. I love my dentist in the US & I love the fact that my dental insurance covers just about everything I don't even have to pay a copay either.
What is the point of your comment and the need to lecture those of us who were not responsible with our teeth maintenance or do not have the great insurance you have? Im trying to figure out why you felt compelled to comment?
I have been in Los Algodones, Mexico and I like almost everything in that border town, however I would not trust any dentist over there because of healthy concerns. No dental office comply with the health regulations for lack of resources. You are exposed to get Serious illnesses like hepatitis, hiv, tuberculosis etc.
I've been there 3 times (from Wisconsin). Love it and the dentists in America are always happy with the work the Mexican dentists have done for me.
Thanks Debbie! We are happy with our work too.

@markc7274 $19,000, however due to a specialized surgery I needed and choosing upgraded implants, I spent $25,000

I do not know … I would assume each dentist is different so you want to check with whichever dentist you choose
Sani Dental gives a two year warranty on all their work❤️❤️❤️
Do we need a passport to te entry the States?
We did have a passport
Yes, but if you are a U.S. Citizen & you forgot it they don't make a big deal of it. That happened to me a few months ago.
Tip: I smuggled some gummies from the dispensary into Mexico. In me belly! Lol.
So funny! We’ll have to double check the law on that.
Was it 5 days the job done
Yes in fact on Saturday the crown didn’t fit right, our dentist sent it back to be redone on Saturday night and she came in on Sunday to finish it up. Which was amazing.
What dentist did you use? Why didn’t you state that? Why not show us at least an after work photo of what was done?
Major Canadian 6 Mo migration to USA and Mexico
That sounds like fun!
Any hotels?
We didn’t stay at a hotel but the casino at the border has one.
The Quechan casino hotel in the USA side is very safe and you are two minutes from the border. Good place to stay if it's your first time. DONT be afraid of going into Mexico you will enjoy it. Park your car on the US side and walk across
Thank you Dirt Digger Tractor, it seemed like there were a lot of good options for lodging.
Thanks for sharing but no Mexico for me. Have a great dentist right in Yuma.
That is awesome you have great dentist - so hard to find! 😃
Dentist info, and are the prices comparable
6:00 advice to other people making videos about Latin American countries: salsa music is nice but is not the typical music for all LatAm.
You are absolutely correct, this was a terrible editing decision and thank you for pointing it out 😃🙏❤️
That’s great you take care of your teeth, but some people take care of their teeth and still have bad genetic genes not everyone is the same
I think if people would take care of their teeth to begin with they wouldn't have problems with them in the first place I never had problems like that with my teeth brush your teeth twice a day with a good electric toothbrush I use Oral B, floss everyday sometimes twice & most of all cut sugar out from your diet & you won't ever have any problems with your teeth.
Nate always had the worst teeth in the family.
It’s true, and it hasn’t made me take better care of them. I needed a good inexpensive dentist!
We did not have that experience
Carlos Your crazy dude, check your sources
Thanks for info!
You are welcome!
