My insurance company was OK up to 75 miles into Mx. USAA. There is insurance reps everywhere. I went through AAA and they purchased MX insurance in MX for me.
It is not free to overnight park in the casino parking lot. You have to go inside and buy a pass. It is also not free to park outside of the border. It cost six dollars a day or $10 for overnight. If you stay overnight your pass runs out at 10 AM.
