My first tractor was a 1960 White conventional with an integral sleeper. It had a NH220 Cummins diesel engine, a White 134C rear single axle, a Fuller 5 speed main transmission with a Brown_Lipe 3 speed Aux. trans. I bought it in 1967 from its original owner when I came home from Viet Nam. It had spent its entire life hauling furniture for Greyhound Van Lines until I bought it. It was a trouble free truck sans normal wear and tear Items. Great channel, Bill

My legal problems have come to an end, however my wife of 43 has had liver failure. Diagnosed last Thanksgiving she has been giving it her best fight but is on borrowed time and we both know it. Taking care of her has left my shop to the dust, rust and spiders. My yard and house have suffered too so its not just the projects. Two years ago tomorrow my brother was hit killed turning in his driveway and when daddy got the news he when into cardiac arrest and they both went to be with the Lord. It makes me happy y’all do things together. It reminded me of some good times. Thank you for sharing. I had thought about you today that I haven’t seen a post and then their you were. Really neat.

I try really hard to keep them down to right at 30 minutes..occasionally they go to 35 or so but you have to tell the story..right? haha... another thing people don't realize is how much work it is to create content "every" week. I try to be fairly constant but there are channels out there who only post maybe once every couple months (turning rust) and they are very successful.. hang in there and keep em coming! @@HODGEPODGEDODGEGARAGE

Amazing to find an old truck cab that you don't have to replace all or most of the glass. That thing is sweet! Kind of cool to see the company logo too, my MIL's maiden name was Gee (although not related to this family that I know of). I was surprised at the quality of the lettering paint too. I kind of expected half of it to come off during the powerwash. Big TY to brother Cole for his help with the project. Thank you too for another interesting, high quality video.

Oh yeah, I think what saved it was being hidden in the woods. Nobody could just walk up and smash the windows. The seller was very kind and I couldn't thank him enough for loading it for me. They can be enjoyable videos, that's for sure. Fun fact, I went to Tech school for auto body. The entire first year in the program I was in charge of detailing vehicles before and after body work. We have two days to get it ready for a big show in Kansas we go to every year. The little things are holding us up right now. It seems dumb but the charging system is killing me.
In the 60's I rode a White Super Mustang Gillig school bus 1952 in Northern Calif. My church purchased this bus in 1975 to use for our youth ministry. The bus was finally retired in 1990. Great hill climber that I drove every Sunday to pickup and drop off young people for church. I loved that old bus. Don't know what happened to it after it was sold. Too bad White was absorbed by Volvo.

It was great to look through my subscriptions today and see a new HPDG video! That is going to be one tough looking truck when you're finished. It's odd but that White cab looks almost identical to the International truck cabs from the early 50s. Looking forward to the build videos on this one Zane.

For some reason I never got notification of you posting this video. I watched it to the end. cool old cab. We had a white diesel. ours was a 220 cummins with a 10 speed road ranger and twin screw rears on a walking beam. The cab is more square than yours, We still have the cab and doors. Maybe even have the headlight buckets. If you wish if it quits raining tomorrow Debbie and I can make a video of it and post it?

I have a freightliner with an eaton fs-6406 in it. I have been doing some digging, and apparently if you swap in the 2 gears from 6th from an overdrive (fso-6406) into the 5th gear your shift pattern for 5th/6th will be reversed like an old reverse 10 speed. But it is a couple hundred for the 2 gears instead of a whole new trans. I haven't done it yet, but I will be attempting it if my trans ever needs to come out.

I would have enjoyed that 3 hour drive home very much, lol. My projects are well but they are all stalled at the moment. I'm taking delivery of a new one in a couple weeks but it is rather ambitious. Just getting parts looks like it will be a problem and it is not a rare vehicle by any means. But it is a Dodge.

I try really hard to keep them down to right at 30 minutes..occasionally they go to 35 or so but you have to tell the story..right? haha... another thing people don't realize is how much work it is to create content "every" week. I try to be fairly constant but there are channels out there who only post maybe once every couple months (turning rust) and they are very successful.. hang in there and keep em coming! @@HODGEPODGEDODGEGARAGE

Amazing to find an old truck cab that you don't have to replace all or most of the glass. That thing is sweet! Kind of cool to see the company logo too, my MIL's maiden name was Gee (although not related to this family that I know of). I was surprised at the quality of the lettering paint too. I kind of expected half of it to come off during the powerwash. Big TY to brother Cole for his help with the project. Thank you too for another interesting, high quality video.

Oh yeah, I think what saved it was being hidden in the woods. Nobody could just walk up and smash the windows. The seller was very kind and I couldn't thank him enough for loading it for me. They can be enjoyable videos, that's for sure. Fun fact, I went to Tech school for auto body. The entire first year in the program I was in charge of detailing vehicles before and after body work. I washed cars/trucks every.....single....day....🤣 Got burnt out *FAST* Can be enjoyable though if it's something that's super dirty though. Hopefully the F100 is going well for you. We have two days to get it ready for a big show in Kansas we go to every year. The little things are holding us up right now. It seems dumb but the charging system is killing me.
In the 60's I rode a White Super Mustang Gillig school bus 1952 in Northern Calif. My church purchased this bus in 1975 to use for our youth ministry. The bus was finally retired in 1990. Great hill climber that I drove every Sunday to pickup and drop off young people for church. I loved that old bus. Don't know what happened to it after it was sold. Too bad White was absorbed by Volvo.

It was great to look through my subscriptions today and see a new HPDG video! That is going to be one tough looking truck when you're finished. It's odd but that White cab looks almost identical to the International truck cabs from the early 50s. Looking forward to the build videos on this one Zane.

We had a white diesel. ours was a 220 cummins with a 10 speed road ranger and twin screw rears on a walking beam. The cab is more square than yours, We still have the cab and doors. I have a freightliner with an eaton fs-6406 in it. I have been doing some digging, and apparently if you swap in the 2 gears from 6th from an overdrive (fso-6406) into the 5th gear your shift pattern for 5th/6th will be reversed like an old reverse 10 speed. But it is a couple hundred for the 2 gears instead of a whole new trans. I haven't done it yet, but I will be attempting it if my trans ever needs to come out.

@@HODGEPODGEDODGEGARAGE yes, that is a great looking Louisville! It's a good thing I couldn't afford to buy it because my impulse control would have gone right out the window. I would have enjoyed that 3 hour drive home very much, lol. My projects are well but they are all stalled at the moment. I'm taking delivery of a new one in a couple weeks but it is rather ambitious. Just getting parts looks like it will be a problem and it is not a rare vehicle by any means. But it is a Dodge.

I'm looking into one of these trucks and it doesn't have ownership or that plate. What else can I look for to have this thing registered for road use
There should be a serial number stamped on either the drivers or passenger side of the frame. I believe it's on top 🔧
Got any old crane trucks around for sale ?
