    It looks like a cool model kit to build

    Definitely looks alot easier and more user friendly to build than the old wave kit. That thing was an absolute nightmare....

    Can't wait for my shop to get it, they should be getting the buster KOG soon. I'm really hoping we see an IMS Junchoon soon- or one of the GTM they teased lol. Miss me with that ¥97,000 Magnapalace 🤣

      Junchoon would be nice. I feel like it doesn't seem to get much love 🥲

    Which Mr color paint did you end up picking as the replacement for the CB color?

      I got a few jars of C20 Light Blue. When I compare it to the Gaia CB colorchip from their website, it's nearly identical... of course that's what's shown on a screen, so it might not be exact in real life, but I think it'll be close enough. I actually did pick up another Gaia color that I found in a US shop for their Votoms line, AT-08, also called Light Blue, that looks almost identical to the C20 as well, it's just a little bit of a cooler tone. I'm still on the fence about which to use. I might have to do some spoon tests to decide. Since Pearl White will be sprayed over them as well, it'll be good to see if there's a difference in the two after that step.

      @@bhop.builds Thanks! Can you let us know if you end up using one or the other?

      @@lilithpeter No worries, I'm sure it'll talk about it once I make the painting video. 🤘

    Nice, can't wait to see your build of this one. Are the pieces white? I remember the old Wave kit had some weird green tint that looked terrible.

    • @bhop.builds
      @bhop.builds  2 года назад

      Nah. I went over it in the video, but the parts are a light mint color, which is also what's called out in the manual, so it's not supposed to be white. Of course you could paint it white if you prefer it in white.

      @@bhop.builds Right I saw your video and indeed, the parts have very light green tint. Its just that I had the old 1/144 Wave kit and that thing was straight up green.

      @@beamknight87 Ah.. gotcha. I haven't seen the old Wave kit but that seems a little weird. This one's really light.

    I do know why most Australian hobby shops don’t have any of these kits available because of the supply and demand. I’ve only seen a few from an eBay Australian store called gunplaist. But the prices are ridiculous. Unlike Mandrake Japans Prices.

      That's a shame that you can't get them locally for a decent price, but cool that you can order from Japan.

    I wish Bandai would get the rights to FSS and make MG or RG kits with full colour parts separation and inner frame. FSS is criminally underrated and lacking in popularity

    • @bhop.builds
      @bhop.builds  Год назад

      Personally, I enjoy the challenge of the Volks kits, but that could help with popularity since it'd be more accessible to the people that aren't comfortable with gluing and painting. I think the biggest things holding FSS's popularity back in "the west" is the lack of English translations for the manga and book releases. Some exist, but only up to a certain point in the story and the bit that's even translated is long out of print, so it's difficult to get these days. I'm an admin on a Facebook FSS group and I do think it's been getting more popular within the past couple years though. Only time will tell I guess.
