Sir Timothy Laurence says Princess Anne is'recovering slowly' following her third night in hospital

The Princess Royal is being treated for concussion and minor injuries sustained in a horse-related mishap. Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence said that the Princess Royal is "recovering slowly" as he left the hospital after visiting his wife after her third night as a patient. Princess Anne, 73, was hospitalised on Sunday after suffering a concussion and mild head injuries during a horse-related incident on her Gatcombe Park home in Gloucestershire. When asked when the Princess will be freed, Sir Tim responded as he emerged from Southmead Hospital in Bristol: "She'll be out when she's ready." On Tuesday, Sir Tim stated that Anne was "doing fine, slow but sure". He was spotted carrying a nice bag as he stated he had brought her a "few little treats from home". Zara Tindall, the Princess Royal's daughter and fellow equestrian, was also photographed arriving to see her mother. Due to Anne's concussion, specific facts of the occurrence remain unclear. However, her medical team believes her head injuries were caused by a horse's head or legs. Zara and Peter Phillips, children of Sir Tim and Anne, were on the estate at the time of the tragedy.
