What a classy song! More people need to know about it. This has always been my favorite Hi-Fi Set song, composed by Yuming herself.
ユーミンは歌詞のみですね。作曲は村井邦彦（アルファ・ミュージック社長）さん。日本にアメリカスタイルの現場優先レコーディングスタイルを広めた先駆者でもある村井さんは、トワ・エ・モワや初期の森山良子、赤い鳥、ガロなどの曲で、その洗練された作曲術を知らしめておられましたね。「美しい星」「美しすぎて」「雨上がりのサンバ」は、当時としては、あまりに早過ぎて、世間がついてこれなかったのかもしれません。
