"The Me Inside" was re-recorded "Me Inside" with Corey on vocals during the Crowz sessions, with new lyrics. This song re-appears on the S/T with a minor lyric change.
On July 18th, Andrew Rouw, also known as "Anders Colsefni" departed from "VGT"

I think tortilla man and Jay have brought back some of the raw energy, because their newer music just sounds full of energy
I like this version of me inside a lot cause how raw it is the snare drum sounds like a a keg but it mixes well and Anders growls suits this song perfectly (haha hate me now)

This is why Slipknot wanted a new singer, because they didn't want to head in the death metal direction. It sounds better with Corey because he can sing with a a more melodic way, where you can understand him, yet his vocals are still brutal as hell.

it's not a genuine album, anders said it was a period of demos/finished songs sent to roadrunner and the fans labeled it crows
It is bcs this album doesnt exist. Shawn and Mick even admitted it that it never existed and the songs are just riffs put together.

this is a demo that the band recorded after winning the battle of the bands, everything that exists recorded after 1996 (MFKR) until 1999 (ST) are demos that the band did to adjust and remake the songs, all this was sent to the record companies, just they and people close and internal to the band had access, after that a few fans somehow managed to get these materials and someone in 2019 after years decided to throw everything on the internet, this phase is dubbed by fans as Crowz.

My information is from the following: "Slipknot: Inside The Sickness, Behind The Masks" and "Slipknot: Unmasked (Again)" Anders was their first vocalis from 95 to 97. Corey Taylor was hired because he could produce more melodic singing. Anders was moved to backing vocals and percussion. He played this for a few months, after realizing he was unhappy with his job, he quit. There's your story.
I like the version with Corey better overall, but I think this one is creepier, which is awesome! I love them both👹🤘

exactly, it's from the same recording session as lust disease and Nature.
Y'know as a nigh-rabid Korn fan I was about to dispute that this sounded like Korn. But listening to it, those softer vocals largely overlaid by the music sounds remarkably like JD and I can pick his voice out of anything. The snarling/screaming is way off, but the talking bits and particularly the singing bits are unsettlingly familiar.
Of course the actual music itself is definitely not Korn. It's not got their tuning. But when it's muffling Anders' vocals a good bit I can definitely see the comparison.

Anders was never apart of slipknot. He was apart of the band before it, "Painface", after that band collapsed, Slipknot came about and some of the songs on thier first album had the songs Painface made. Thats why they made a new verion of this song with Corey singing.
