  • Big four of handline attack package design:
    1) Nozzle Design and implications: NP, Weight, Stream Type, Reaction Force, Stream Velocity, Selecting Target flow
    2) Hose Construction and implication: Materials, Weaving, Construction Type, Inspection both annual and after every use.
    3) Hose size and implication: Target flows and tube velocity the things you need to know before buying hose hydraulically.
    4) Pump Panel Outlet implications: Design, errors, plumbing, pick up placement, foam loop complications and flow meters.

    This guy is the real deal.. if you can take one of his classes you won’t be disappointed. The more we know, the better we can select our tools, the more effective we can be.

    I just ran a hose selection "test" for my department... no easy task for sure. You hit on every topic and consideration you must take into consideration when making a selection. Will you discuss the WPI & ATF burn through tests/studies?
