  • You want to achieve "Halligan Bar Design" levels of performance from your Hose and Nozzles Handline Attack Packages the gold standard in their relative areas (Forcing doors vs Suppression of fire). Many agencies are stuck with "Hooligan Bar" levels of dissatisfaction & dysfunction in their handline attack packages based on the same lack of knowledge and understanding of what is needed when purchasing the systems that make the Handline Attack Package perform at its best spec and equipment wise. This class will cover that needed knowledge:
    1) Nozzle Design and implications: NP, Weight, Stream Type, Reaction Force, Stream Velocity, Reach, Selecting Target flow
    2) Hose Construction and implications: Materials, Weaving, Construction Type, Inspection delivery, annual and after every use.
    3) Hose size and implications: Target flows, Tube velocity, Nozzle Bite, System Weight….things you need to know/understand before buying hose hydraulically/mechanically. Adequate Friction loss is not the handlines enemy (SP)
    4) Pump Panel Outlet implications: Design, errors, plumbing, pick up placement, foam loop complications and flow meters.
