Advice for day tripping keystone/ Breck? Just moved to the Springs and it’ll be my first season. Like what time do you leave in the morning & on the way home? What do you pack? Etc
Most important... 4 wheel/ AWD. Don't be that guy trying to push a 2WD Civic with bald tires up 70. IDK too much about traffic from the Springs, but from Denver... You want to be on the road by 5 - 530 at the latest, January - March. Unless you like sitting in traffic for 3 hours. Getting off the hill around 1 or 2 is also a good idea to beat the rush back to the city. Staying till last chair can be cool too though, stop for food somewhere in town, and the traffic "should" be clear by 6pm or so. All that depends on weather though. You can leave at 5, beat the traffic, and still take 3 hours to get there if the roads are bad. Always check the weather before you leave. Other than that, pack a sandwich, fill up some gas, grab some peach rings, and you're ready to shred.
