Those Courage single cylinders just don't hold up. I just did a motor swap a month ago on a Gravely residential ZT2040 that had the same motor on it, it was given to me because it was blown. After repowering it I gave the Gravely to my younger brother, it was his first ever zero-turn. He was so proud to have it but was only able to use it twice. Sadly he had a heart attack this morning and isn't doing well in ICU. When I pulled your video up and saw the mower you were doing it made me cry, you do more for us than you'll ever know..... Thank You Bob
Nice job Bob, those jobs can definitely be a challenge, especially getting a stuck pulley off. Did you have to replace the bottom seal? You're fortunate if you didn't. I think I would of gone ahead and replaced it, perfect time to do it. A happy customer is what you're working for and he looked mighty pleased.
I might have put a new bottom seal in so I wouldn’t have to go through clutch and pulley removal again if it was compromised by all the heat. Just my thought. I had tuff time getting everything off to get to that seal on my gravely when it started leaking oil at 700 hrs. Had to cut my pulley off and replace it after doing the seal that was only 8.00. Lol
Nice you're taking care of friend/ customer. Once you're past the point of saving the pulley, just cut it off with the torch. I'd have cut and welded the exhaust pipes but you got it. Good thing it's not a space shuttle.
Nice Shirt. Taryl says you gotta heat it up cherry red for it to work. I like you videos, good topics and relatable solutions. Like Eric from South Main Auto says, if you can do it, I can do it...
Hello Doublewide6, I just bought used Toro Timecutter Z380 (model 74301 ). Trying to change the hydrostatic fluid. Think it has a drain plug on top covered unable to reach. Do I need to pull both transmissions out in order to drain and fill. What is the best way to do this. Love your channel. Keep up the good work . Thank you!
Nice work Bob you needed all the tools and equipment for this job. You are a great friend !!!! What would you have charged for a job like that.. I'm like Mick I use my air hammer all the time as well !!!!!
Always good and bad sides to doing business with friends Been there done that. LOL. Like you OSHA approved safety shoes when you welding. Great job as always Bob.
You must be a better man then I.....I didn't hammer my friend for changing the Kohler Porridge in his Zforce, but I still charged fiddy...Basically covered the Air conditioning that day in the garage, and a couple cold snacks >.
Kohler Courage is one of the worst engines out there (single cylinder even worse then twin). That said, you are a good friend to help your friend out. An engine taking a dump a year after selling a mower happens, especially when it is a Kohler Lack of Courage.

Neat fix Bob . You looked after your buddy.

Nice video Bob! Nice to have your own camera man like Taryl does on his videos. Mower looks to work well on your hill . 👍🎥🇺🇸 Roger
DW6: I learned this trick from Taryl
Taryl’s Trick: it only works for Taryl

To much distraction from heels Jason.

Ugh krohler courage engine . great swap of the engine
Nice job.
Great Video
Doesn't hammering only work because of the crankshaft endplay?

Ever had any issue when just hoisting on my side of the front axle?

That was fun. Good job. Why did the original engine fail that you felt guilty?
Very nice.

I’m curious is this your full time business or do you also have a day job and if so may I ask what you do.
Damn 250 bucks something like that would be sold in like 5min easily for 500 Euro not running that is
Pulley. removal sucks sometimes
