For me, wearing a lot of makeup also started giving me a "distorted" view of my bare face. I always saw myself as ugly. I couldn't even go out grocery shopping without mascara and foundation. But then a few years ago I drastically reduced the amount of makeup I was wearing and completely stopped wearing mascara. And now every once in a while I look at my bare face and think "hey kinda look good today". I often go out without any makeup and I don't feel ugly. And I know my face hasn't changed. Just the way I see myself.
Yes!!! I also want to reduce the shock value when someone sees me without make up lol. Like if you started dating someone and they will see you bare face, I don't want them to be like WHOA.
Yes !!! Getting used to the makeup face makes the bareface look wrong. I had the same effect with bras too, always seeing them round and high made it look "wrong" when I took my bra off to sleep. Now that I go no bra, I cannot stand the bra look as it's so fake looking.
My mom wore makeup about 4x a yr. I wore lots of makeup during my teens/20’s because I wanted to fit in but now I wear makeup about 2-4x a month. At 50 I wear clothes I love, lip gloss, have clean skin with lots of moisturizer and a smile. Done
As someone who doesn't wear makeup, a few things I do to look fresh and put together are: moisturize my face, put on lip balm, brush my brows, as well as place a bit of jojoba oil on a eyelash brush and lightly oil my eyelashes. And yes earrings make a world of a difference!
You know I thought it was really brave of Pam to not wear makeup until I learned she was coming out with a skin care line. What a genius way to promote it by drawing attention to your skin with no makeup.
I'm from Europe, your tips how to look good without wearing a make-up is my definition of wearing make-up :D And you look beautiful and relatable "without make-up"
Same. I appreciate the tips but using skin care and lip oil with colour is literally makeup. When makeup started it was called skin care in the same way, because people didn't want to think of it as wearing make up. My tips are tinting and plucking my brows, dermaplating, good skin care + moisturising, exfoliating my lips, and possibly clear mascara or oil and curling the lashes.
I just genuinely find makeup pretty. I don’t use it to change my facial features or as a crutch. I just find the products pretty in itself, so I enjoy wearing it and trying new looks. I’ve been wearing silver shimmery eyeshadow lately, and it’s so gorgeous 🥹 Nothing wrong with wearing makeup, and there’s nothing wrong with NOT wearing it! Just do you.
@@ARDEURofficial m*tilating your face and permanently changing its structure is completely different than wearing eyeliner, hun. I think any person with a brain knows my eyelids aren’t silver and glittery. Try a little harder next time. 👍
I think makeup looks really nice on camera and from a distance but in real life face to face I prefer the no makeup look personally. I’m also too cheap and lazy to do my makeup 😂
Yeah, the advertising campaigns are good but when you put that stuff on your skin irl, even after prepping it, there's always a lot of texture and it doesn't look great imo.
No offense, but this seems like a makeup no makeup look. I haven’t used any kind of foundation or skin tint for years. To me, any kind of tint or concealer IS makeup. I know this is more like makeup lite to you, maybe so lite that it feels like no makeup, but really, it’s makeup.
I'm 67, and l've found that less makeup is more. The only reason why it still takes time to do my makeup is because l spend more time on skin care ad prep.
I'm 63 and recently experimented with tinted moisturizer. Unfortunately, I'm still so oily, it made me break out like crazy. Still not ready for moisturizer. 😢
I was just binging on your videos this morning and I’m still waiting to see you look bad even once. You’re stunning. I will NEVER understand how anyone could say you’re not pretty. YOU. ARE. BEAUTIFUL! And Happy Mother’s Day! Love from Washington state! ❤️💐
Having clean hair makes such a big difference. My hair gets greasy after like 12 hours which is so frustrating though. Dry shampoo is a blessing. There are days where I feel pretty without makeup and days where I feel ugly without makeup, but some days I’m just too lazy to put it on. If I go out and someone doesn’t like my face that a them problem. I don’t owe anyone beauty. But I am thankful that my bf always finds me pretty even when I feel hideous.
What is wrong with so many people here? Seriously, get a grip. Someone can have a promoted video and STILL actually believe in the products they're using and the message they're sharing. Especially since enough of us here have trust in her authenticity. Get a grip, people, lol. A VERY happy Mother's Day to you, Stephanie, and all you great mama's here in this community ❤
Thank you so much ❤️ I was filming this video any using their products, and when I told them what I was planning they wanted to get involved and sponsor me and offer the free product to my followers so I jumped at the chance!
Happy Mothers Day!!! you kept saying from the beginning that you were being honest about your feelings and work arounds and if that includes these products there is nothing insincere about that. I love how you show up on youtube and stay authentic despite the massive amount of people following you. That kind of pressure has to be heavy on anyone with a following, and you handle it with grace. You're amazing and I hope you have an amazing mamas day!
You have one of the best messages on you tube for so many of us. Thank you. I started watching you in Australia when you were struggling with acne. You have come a long way and your message is so very important in my opinion
I forgot to say how right you are about using a smile. I have been on 5 continents on this world and saw that a smile is your passport and your ambassador. It warms other people right up. -Kristine
I found your content recently, and you seriously help me feel like I can be beautiful too Thank you so much for posting the content you do, and staying honest! We need more content creators like you in the public eye ❤
I am for a long time in a burn-out. And tbh it will get you of make-up very quickly. For me it's a already a big win when I find the energy to put on at least some nice clothing. But thank you, Stephanie for sharing this. It's very honest and shows us what you are battling with. As such a warrior for natural beauty it is very honourable 😘
I am burning out too, but I still put on make-up when I have to go to the office because I don't feel comfortable yet without putting any. People still comment that I look exhausted tho 🙄
@franchipe You are brave. Maybe you can get help co you ain't there jet? And indeed I have a permanent face that looks unhappy. But I am sure when all this is done I'll get to be myself again
The most I do on a daily basis is mascara, because my mom always told me I didn’t need any makeup. She taught me how feel beautiful without makeup and I’m glad she did❤️
Yes they did sponsor me, but only because I told them I was filming with their products anyway. Just because a brand supports a creator doesn’t make the content insincere. But I see what you’re saying and will make an effort to make it more obvious next time!
I used to be exactly like you in high school, wouldn't leave the house without make up bc I felt SO ugly. At some point I realized that all this manufactured standards were created to exploit us really, and started my journey of working in myself esteem and gradually I got so much better. Now I rarely use make up because I truly feel prettier without it most of the time, like I haven't bought a foundation or concealer in YEARS! My skin feels sooooo much better without all that make up, and my mind 100% more free! In the past I spent tons of time getting ready(make up, hair, outfit) just to go to school, and now I spend that time taking care of myself by eating healthy, drinking lots of water and having me time(skin care routine or things like that)! Thank you for sharing your experience and your tips with us!
I think no makeup is really elegant looking. Like the old paintings of beautiful women. They had barely any makeup on (compared to today’s looks), and look so beautiful and elegant.
Ya like many European/ Parisian woman.. they have a more natural look .. for the most part they don't cake it on like the north Americans giving it almost a drag Queenie look
How do we know people in old paintings wore little makeup? Just curious. Plus, the painter can avoid painting wrinkles and blemishes. I don't trust old paintings, they're pretty, but after seeing pin-up models and the final pin-up result, nah.
When you pay the artist, you can ask to embellish you portrait a bit 😊 not to the point of being unrecognizable, just no spots and wrinkles, maybe slightly bigger eyes etc. That's why on old paintings there are no pox spots, acne scarring and other "imperfections"
You are so beautiful inside and out. I’ve been following you for a few months now and there’s no other channel like yours. You have really given me a different perspective on celebrity beauty, and it has helped me drastically. Thank you so much for what you do.
I’m a single mum of three (23) and I feel this sooo much 🥺 it’s actually starting to be almost debilitating to my life as I feel so much anxiety without my makeup and hair done I can’t leave the house without either or so this video really helped💕
Oh my goodness. You are a single 23 year old with three children!!! How do you cope? I hope you have some family to help you. That is a dreadful situation for any woman to be in. Raising children on your own is not an enviable job, especially at your young age.
Genuine question, how is wearing tinted skincare different than wearing makeup in the ways of confidence and what it looks like? I seriously don't get the difference, except if this is skin care maybe it moisturites the skin too...
It doesn't cover skin texture, pimples, etc. Instead it just gives a light tint to the skin which basically just evens out your skin tone/redness. It's also helps moisturizes the skin, and looks more natural than an actual foundation. This is just my own experience, but I switched to a skin tint a few years ago and I've never gone back to foundation, even when I do a full makeup look because I think my skin looks healthier wearing a skin tint versus a foundation, and because it's so similar to my actual skin it makes me feel more confident about my skin when I do go out bare faced :)
I personally consider it to be makeup. It's just a lot lighter products and it is part of your moisturising rountine and not extra steps (traditional makeup is after those steps) so not as time consumming. It enhances your features rather than covering them.
I hope that one day we will all be able to recognise our worth as something separate from our physical appearance and that we are able to feel good about ourselves every day, just for existing. Breaks my heart that we live in a society that perpetuates the idea that humans have to wear make up to be considered beautiful or put together and that we all have to fit into a ‘cookie cutter’ of what beauty currently is. Take the eyebrows for example - thin was on trend for women in the 90s. Feathery and thick is on trend now. So everyone conforms to the beauty standard and misses the opportunity to celebrate their inherit beauty as a human being. We celebrate diversity but it seems that everyone wants to have the same big lips, chiselled features, etc. And when the desirable mould changes we have to change our faces to match or risk being perceived as ugly. When in reality, what is ugly is the way society views ‘beauty’.
Girl, you're such a cutie without makeup. You're really cute with or without it. I have never worn makeup. I have struggled with feeling ugly of course throughout my life, despite being told I'm pretty, but I just can't be bothered with makeup and I wouldn't know how to do my face anyway.
Thank you Stephanie. Lately I've been struggling with the self-criticism and just looking at all the possible surgeries to correct these errors. Jawline surgery, rhinoplasty , forehead surgery etc etc etc. Thank you for these videos
Happy Mother’s Day to you and all your fellow mums. I hardly ever wear make up - mostly because I was never taught how to put it on properly. I like being natural but it might be why I’m still single 😂
I second the eyebrow / eyelash dying if you have pale hairs, totally changes my face and somehow makes my general redness seems less, not sure why, but always looks better!
During college I used to wear makeup every day to class. Then covid hit and I completely stopped wearing makeup for several months. It was during that time that I fell in love with my natural face. I got used to seeing myself barefaced and liked it! So once things returned to normal, I continued with not wearing makeup everyday. It's been a few years now, but I still only do a full face on weekends when there is an occasion for it, but most recently, I went two weeks without makeup. It's such a joy to feel comfortable walking around bare-faced, and I hope everyone can feel confident and empowered enough for forgo their makeup every once in a while.
For me, the most efficient is to stop wearing make-up. Since I stopped, I just got used to seeing my face. My lashes were also looking better, and I started taking care of my skin. I plan on getting hair laser removal above the mouth and between my brows. Just aiming to have almost nothing to do in the morning to avoid overthinking about the way I look. Of course, I would look "better" with make-up, but I don't want any of that anymore. I don't want to take off my makeup just to feel uglier. I'm used to my bare face now, I have my days and feel like the ugliest shit on earth. But most often than not, I just feel normal
It’s amazing how everyone has different things that they are concerned about with their looks, like for me it’s my blonde eyelashes, hooded eyes and eye bags. But from one of your previous videos you highlighted the fact that our differences are what make us unique. Also one of my mums friends commented how similar I look to my mum which I love and she has characteristics from her parents which makes me feel connected to my Italian heritage which is amazing! My mum never wore much makeup and neither do I. When I was growing up she told me everyday that I was beautiful and most days I still believe it, thanks for the positive message Stephanie!
Love your routine Stephanie but youre missing the most important step: sunscreen! Keeps premature aging at bay and more importantly skincancer. There are so many tinted sunscreens on the market right now, look into some Korean Skincare. Its super affordable and great quality. Cheers
Yes also great! Many spfs nowadays have moisturizing properties. Lots to choose from, for solid recommendations I follow some derms here on YT like Dr Dray
I started following your RUclips when I was an esthetician doing cryoskin. First off you are absolutely gorgeous. But I think everybody would like to feel more confident without makeup. I used to do work for three sisters. The older sisters looked younger than the youngest sister who actually knew how to do makeup. It seemed to me that wearing makeup actually ages us more. The sisters that never wore makeup and we're older looked so much younger than their younger sister. They did nothing different except makeup. I'm glad that you are including something that is skincare and something to make us feel more confident with no makeup
I am 66 yrs old. I stopped wearing makeup entirely during the lockdown time. It's only been the last month or so that I have begun to find some pleasure in makeup but my skin is so different now. It used to be oily/combination but now it's dry (and crepey). I have a good skin care regime that I do every day. And now I found some light makeup that is just enough to make me feel good and not weighed down by too much stuff on my face. I use a powdered foundation from Laura Geller and it is wonderful. With a touch of concealer, the powdered foundation and some light blush and mascara, I feel and look put together but totally myself. It takes 5 minutes and I'm off to work. I appreciate your videos. I appreciate your transparency and openness.
When I was in my mid-20's a friend's friend who was an aesthetician told me to never wear a full face of make up because it was not good for your skin. I followed her advice and I think my skin (and look) is much better off for it. A little bit of concealer around the nose, eye liner, mascara and lipstick in 5 minutes is all it takes.
Me to! I had hyperpigmentation and was mortified without makeup. I moved to Australia, the swimming, sunshine and need for spf has pushed me to just rock suncream. Life changing!!!
Stephanie I just want to say that I really love you ! I love your personality, I love your mentality, I love the messages you spread, I love how you speak.. You are a wonderful person and you are one of my favorite creators out there
i think you look so nice like this like with naturalish makeup instead of like cakey(ish) makeup . i like what you're wearing now it's very pretty & compliments you're features more . (ps you are good at doing both makeup styles I'm just saying this fit's you more in my opinion)
7:57 just like the jewelry advice, I feel this way about nail polish. When I have a fresh - unchipped - coat of nail polish on I feel so much prettier.
When of the things I had always clear it's that didn't want to rely on make up every day to feel well. I see it more like a treat to use it when I like to and when I want to be creative. Things might change when I age, but right now I focus in taking good care of my skin and eating as healthily as I can. Even models don't have perfect skin and the concept of perfection changes from culture to culture. Punishing yourself won't take away the flaws and it's getting asfixiating with influencers in their twenties changing their perfect faces with surgery when they are looking their best...Our differences are our superpower, let's embrace it!🎉🎉🎉
I have rosacea as well, and it is by far my biggest knock to confidence. The fact that no matter what you do - even if you have a good day with - your skin won’t ever feel ‘normal’ or not red. Having that cute bare faced look will forever be unattainable but you also don’t want to spend your whole life hiding behind foundation or having to do makeup to feel confident to be seen by people you know.
so true about the rosacea, with or without the make up my cheeks end up staying red pretty much the whole time. I just wear mask the whole time when I am outside
Watching the video it seems to me the problem lies more in caring a lot about what other peoples opinions of you might be, and so instead of hiding blemishes to increase confidence and cutting down on the daily make-up dependency to feel more comfortable all is solved when you stop caring so much about what other people think of you. You fill find you can achieve the same freedoms and levels of confidence that way without having to change your appearance or habits otherwise.
Tinted skincare is still a form of makeup, but I think the important distinction is that they are primarily skincare and have tint added, versus standard makeup which is primarily color and has little or no skin benefits (or is even bad for skin).
I found a high SPF sunscreen that mattifies my skin. That's the one thing I now do that makes me feel better - more protected, less greasy-looking. It isn't tinted, but that's fine. (It's Garnier Ombrelle Face Anti-Shine SPF 60. I'm in Canada but you can probably find it in most countries.)
I embraced my flaws a long time ago. When I do try a full face of makeup now and then, I don’t like it. I feel like the real me has been erased. My skin is freckled and sunspotted, I have very dark circles, hooded eyes that are starting to droop more, but I’m 50. My skin still has a natural glow that I prefer to the dry, cakiness of foundation. I do fill in my brows and wear mascara because my lashes are straight and invisible without it, and if I got out, I’ll add a bit of eyeliner to my outer upper lids only to accentuate my eye shape. People see me and not my makeup. But I still love to play with makeup, so I will. Then take it all off. 😂
Also, all the comments about how insecure you are about your brows, over plucked too thin, won’t leave the house without at least doing brows? Do you think men wake up each and every day worrying about ANY of this crap?? But society has made us feel this way. Do you think men worry about making sure their eyebrows are tinted so they can run to the bank or pick up a loaf of bread?? You gotta be kidding me.
Love these tips! I got my eyebrows microbladed about 5 years ago and it’s been such a game changer for me and gives me the confidence to go out with minimal makeup.
I wear mascara and that’s it on most days now. I used to wear a full face up until I was around mid thirties then just could not be bothered anymore. I still like make up and wear some on nights out etc. but I always prefer my non make up days now . The thing is it should be about what makes the woman feel good whatever she prefers ❤
I am really happy that I am a lazy individual because it is this that has prevented me from doing any makeup even when I am 23 years old now and i have multiple acne scars over my face. I don't care, I follow good skin care routine, stay hydrated, mostly eat healthy and workout. That's all I need for a good skin and face even if there are flaws I won't put weird dangerous chemicals on my face or draw a face eyebrow or out on fake eyelashes and look a total caricature of mine. I have nothing against those who wear makeup but honestly, no one, literally no one needs it.
THIS. I’ve seriously been doing all these things recently, and they actually make a huge difference. I wash my hair more than what is probably recommended, but I don’t care because my hair actually likes it; it’s smoother and fuller and it makes me feel great. Been updating my wardrobe a bit, and I also don’t feel human until I have my earrings in! My daily makeup has been some powder foundation, clear brow gel, and a tinted lip balm, along with curling my eyelashes (sometimes I’ll throw on concealer or a tinted SPF if I want a little extra). I actually feel prettier this way than with all the extra stuff I used to do. Especially as I get older, I feel more feminine and like myself. I think it’s all just a part of growing up. 😊 Do NOT knock on these tips until you try them; they might sound stupid or simple, but they’re the real deal. ❤
1. Wash your hair 2. Tint your eyebrows if needed 3. Do your skincare 4. Use tinted skincare 5. Make sure lips are smooth and hydrated 6. Put your jewelry on 7. Choose your clothes wisely 8. Focus on what you’re eating and drinking 9. Don’t forget to smile
Honestly I wear jewelry every day, no matter if I’m wearing sweatpants or a dress. I get that from my grandmother and mother, they really never wore makeup much, but ALWAYS wore jewelry. I always thought my grandmother was the most classy woman and wanted to be like her when I was younger, and now I do many things like her. I have a more alt style in general, but never leave the house without my jewelry. ✨
Never worn makeup my whole 28 years of life except during stage performances. It honestly feels so good. I've encountered someone who thinks having no makeup affects my work credibility. I've also seen internet trolls calling women who don't wear makeup "pick me" (this label needs to die fr). However, I still get people feeling envious towards or intimidated by me despite not being the prettiest in the room. I still receive attention from men even though not as much as women who do wear makeup. I've received positive comments about my confidence, too. Did I mention I have acne scars and still get breakouts? So, if you wanna go barefaced, do it.
Great video! I've learned a lot over the years. I was one that thought I couldn't be seen without make-up for most of my adult years. I was never great at putting it on. But, now that I am 58, I have learned how to look better with less, like you are basically saying. Skin care is important. But, If I just want to look a bit presentable, I use skin care for a dewey look. Then I put some clearisil on my more porus areas, like nose and chin. Then, I use a small brush and use a concealer to dab onto areas that are dark. Like under my eyes. Then I use an eyebrow pencil and color in my brows. Then, if i'm going out somewhere, I will put on a lipstick that is fairly subtle. I also have the dry lip issue..have always had it, so, I at least put on chapstick. I have them all over the house.
Please disclaim that its an ad, its required by law in some countries and it just seems a bit shady if you dont, maybe you forgot to add that bit, i dunno
Stephanie, when I started taking Spironolactone for excess hair growth, my rosacea improved immensely. I no longer take the medication, and except for the occasional "bump," the rosacea has not returned.
Well I'm little bit disappointed that it wasn't disclosed about paid promotion. And honestly being at home I never wear make up, but agree on hair situation 😄Covid cured me about not being able to go public without make up. Now I simply do not care. And most people do not care if you have skin issues wear or not wear make up.
I did disclose it, I literally said in the video that I worked with typology on the video. But regardless, I’m glad covid bought some good in your situation! I’m still trying to wean myself off full coverage foundation!
I struggle with hormonal acne and I went on accutane last year because ppl were constantly commenting and judging me. Mine comes from having Graves Disease. It is crazy how much better I feel about myself when ppl aren't pointing out what's wrong with my skin.
Same! I cannot stand the feeling of foundation on my skin. I also have environmental allergies and my eyes are often itchy, so eye makeup is also a no for me. However, I do like to put on lipstick or lip gloss from time to time.
Working in retail for a decade+, it was required to wear makeup so we are presentable. Because of that, I ALWAYS wore makeup when I leave my house, otherwise I feel naked, missing something. But when covid happened, having to stay home and then masks, my face was makeup free for, what, almost 2 years? My skin felt sooo much better. When masks were no longer needed, I put makeup on to go out into the public, but I didn't like how it felt on my skin, like it can't breathe. So I was like, f*ck it. In the beginning I still felt very self conscious going out without makeup, but now I can care less!
I hate the feel of make up, so I stopped wearing it years ago…I’ll be 60 this year and honestly I don’t miss wearing it one bit. I have alopecia a little and I’m legally blind, so wtf i just roll w it … I just use a tinted moisturizer w spf, wear my giant tinted glasses, a baseball cap, tons of cool jewelry and have fun w my wardrobe… I lift weights and that seems to help tone my chest and neck and face a little, so I just wear lots of good moisturizer and call it a day! It’s so liberating…I’m so much more than my face.
Really appreciate this! I don’t really wear makeup on a daily basis, except I love wearing a lip gloss or lipstick. Occasionally I’ll wear mascara, but I usually end up regretting it cuz I’ll want to rub my eyes lol. But recently I’ve been breaking out a a lot. I’ve been getting treated for my acne and rosacea, but I’m stress and I was doing better but they came back with a vengeance!! I was debating buying a tinted moisturizer and wearing concealer(I bought one for emergencies, but I never use it). I dreaded having to wear face makeup because I hate the feeling. I, like Pamela Anderson, hate the pressure! Like why do I have to wear makeup??? That’s so ridiculous! Anyways, thank you for making me feel validated! As a girly who doesn’t wear makeup, but always get told I seem put together, let me share some tips! I agree with everything Steph said but also consider: 1. Buying cute hair accessories- I can’t bother with doing my hair because I have an oily scalp and by the next day I have to shower again. BUT having cute hair accessories always helps with feeling put together! I feel like a Princess :) 2. Nails Done- don’t feel pressured to do this. I’m broke so I just paint my nails at home. But sometimes having a little color or sparkle on my nails help me feel better. I’m a big ring lover and I find having my nails done makes them pop more. 3. Nice perfume- never underestimate the power of a good perfume! I feel like I’m allowed to take up more space when I smell nice. 4. Little Details and Clothing accessories- a watch, a belt, cute shoes, and a well put together outfit really help! I’m really simple but I find the little extra details and accessories can help you feel glamorous, elegant, and confident, which is very helpful when not wearing makeup!! Love you all! Please know that you never look as horrible as you think you do. Personally, I love seeing people’s natural real skin:)) Happy Mother’s Day!
You are so right about clean hair making the biggest difference. and brow shaping helps too
@@ARDEURofficialwell she said herself it was an ad and washing your hair DOES make a huge difference.
Brows and eyelashes when makeup off if I wana still pretty. Actually the lashes to me just make me feel pretty.
@@ARDEURofficialnah it's true it makes a huge difference

For me, wearing a lot of makeup also started giving me a "distorted" view of my bare face. I always saw myself as ugly. I couldn't even go out grocery shopping without mascara and foundation. But then a few years ago I drastically reduced the amount of makeup I was wearing and completely stopped wearing mascara. And now every once in a while I look at my bare face and think "hey kinda look good today". I often go out without any makeup and I don't feel ugly. And I know my face hasn't changed. Just the way I see myself.
I think all makeup girls have felt this. It's important to acknowledge this phenomenon
Yes!!! I also want to reduce the shock value when someone sees me without make up lol. Like if you started dating someone and they will see you bare face, I don't want them to be like WHOA.
Right. I never wear makeup. I used to a little when I was a teenager which was over a decade ago and I just feel prettier without it.
Yes !!! Getting used to the makeup face makes the bareface look wrong. I had the same effect with bras too, always seeing them round and high made it look "wrong" when I took my bra off to sleep. Now that I go no bra, I cannot stand the bra look as it's so fake looking.
So true!
My mom rarely wore makeup. So that's why makeup free mentality. No pressure. No one told me to.I dress well when I go out.
My mom wore makeup about 4x a yr. I wore lots of makeup during my teens/20’s because I wanted to fit in but now I wear makeup about 2-4x a month. At 50 I wear clothes I love, lip gloss, have clean skin with lots of moisturizer and a smile. Done
My mom use makeup only when she was young. And now she never use makeup I want to see her with make-up on but she rejects this 🥺
Same with my mom. I used to wear it everyday but got away from that about 8 years ago. I definitely wear it when going out or for events.
Same here. People underestimate the affect mothers have on their daughters when it comes to performative femininity and body image
Same
I’m in the minority but I’m always shocked by how pretty people are without makeup.
Same
I agree! The less is better. Everyone has beautiful unique features
Same!
Some aren’t but some are able too
Not me! I look awful but sometimes I don't care. I'm late 60s now, cared much more when I was younger.
Is she 😮
She is wearing mascara in that photo too, so not actually 'not wearing makeup'.
I didn’t know that
@@ElizabethNonsuch Maybe she tinted them
She looks like she has got makeup on to me. It’s that no makeup makeup look.

Same. I appreciate the tips but using skin care and lip oil with colour is literally makeup. When makeup started it was called skin care in the same way, because people didn't want to think of it as wearing make up.

@@xAstoriax I got this Desert Springs Crème Shop palette on a whim the other day. I was inspired by 2000s makeup. The silver eyeshadow is so pretty 🩵
@@ARDEURofficial m*tilating your face and permanently changing its structure is completely different than wearing eyeliner, hun. I think any person with a brain knows my eyelids aren’t silver and glittery. Try a little harder next time. 👍
Exactly!! It’s okay both ways! I enjoy make up so much, especially eyeshadow is so fun! Pat McGrath also has a PERFECT silver eyeshadow :)
I think makeup looks really nice on camera and from a distance but in real life face to face I prefer the no makeup look personally. I’m also too cheap and lazy to do my makeup 😂
it always looks freakin cakey does it not? everyone ive seen wearing foundation/concealer looks cakey to me
@@annipsy2185 like yeah!
Yeah, the advertising campaigns are good but when you put that stuff on your skin irl, even after prepping it, there's always a lot of texture and it doesn't look great imo.
I stopped wearing makeup years ago,it’s SO liberating!! And you attract genuine people who aren’t judging you💜💜
No offense, but this seems like a makeup no makeup look. I haven’t used any kind of foundation or skin tint for years. To me, any kind of tint or concealer IS makeup. I know this is more like makeup lite to you, maybe so lite that it feels like no makeup, but really, it’s makeup.
Exactly, you need to wash it thoroughly with makeup remover
true, it’s still makeup, but it has skincare benefits in it aswell which i think is what she is trying to promote.
I'm probably the only one, but I count tinted skin care as make up lol
Same!
Nope not alone
I think Stephanie realizes this lmao. She’s just explaining you don’t need a face of full coverage foundation and glam eyeshadow every single day.
Same here!
she does say "admittedly some of my tips might be cheating but it works for me"
I'm 67, and l've found that less makeup is more. The only reason why it still takes time to do my makeup is because l spend more time on skin care ad prep.
I'm 63 and recently experimented with tinted moisturizer. Unfortunately, I'm still so oily, it made me break out like crazy. Still not ready for moisturizer. 😢
I think for woman over 50 most make up cakes in wrinkles and makes ppl actually look older... even some woman over 40.. Will look older with it on
If you are old your 👁️👁️ also age i can not see my face no more So make-up no more

I was just binging on your videos this morning and I’m still waiting to see you look bad even once. You’re stunning. I will NEVER understand how anyone could say you’re not pretty. YOU. ARE. BEAUTIFUL! And Happy Mother’s Day! Love from Washington state! ❤️💐
Nobody thinks she isn't pretty, I don't understand why no one points out how ridiculous it is that she groups herself with "the ugly ones "
this is "no makeup makeup." not zero makeup. which is fine, but its not what you say it is
Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion but I actually feel like she looks way better without the makeup- more youthful too.
Beautiful both ways, but I was stunned by her natural bone structure.
I agree❤
She looks good whit light makeup and with more makeup on.
She is pretty without makeup and pretty with it. That's natural beauty. Of course makeup done well always enhances someone's beauty.
RIGHT! She needs a warm light in her room.
Sisley haircare is brilliant for oily hair.
Also, it totally makes sense that finding a product you like can inspire a certain topic. Sometimes that’s how creativity works! Great vid! ❤

@stephanielange As would anyone! You're very welcome! ❤️❤️
@@eveningstar8581 Exactly! Lol
Thank you so much 🥰
You have one of the best messages on you tube for so many of us. Thank you. I started watching you in Australia when you were struggling with acne. You have come a long way and your message is so very important in my opinion
I forgot to say how right you are about using a smile. I have been on 5 continents on this world and saw that a smile is your passport and your ambassador. It warms other people right up. -Kristine
I found your content recently, and you seriously help me feel like I can be beautiful too
Thank you so much for posting the content you do, and staying honest!

She taught me how feel beautiful without makeup and I’m glad she did❤️
mascara is makeup though
I like your content and i have nothing against people having sponsors, but it felt icky slowly realising this was an AD as the video went on...
Yes they did sponsor me, but only because I told them I was filming with their products anyway. Just because a brand supports a creator doesn’t make the content insincere. But I see what you’re saying and will make an effort to make it more obvious next time!

im proud of you for being able to do this
I used to be exactly like you in high school, wouldn't leave the house without make up bc I felt SO ugly.
Yep yep

Because you're not plastering on a thick layer of feature erasing products. Just a light wash to even out the skintone and make you look more awake.
Thank you!
@@martinazulina less coverage than a BB cream x
I personally consider it to be makeup. It's just a lot lighter products and it is part of your moisturising rountine and not extra steps (traditional makeup is after those steps) so not as time consumming. It enhances your features rather than covering them.
The close up shots are so pretty😭
I love your videos Stephanie. You show the reality of the world. Happy Mother’s Day!!❤❤
When i walk my dogs every morning, I out on sunglasses. I have no eyebrows left at all, like none, so I just hide my eyes behind the sunglasses, lol
How about a fringe? I just thought that maybe bangs would frame your face nicely if you have problems with your eyebrows:) just an idea
@lagirl4648 I don't have any eyebrows anymore either and do exactly the same thing!😎🐕🐕
@@klejjxd I actually do have bangs!! It does help a little!❤️

Stephanie your videos have helped me so much: thank you for being such a gem🥹❤️
I never understood how people get the time and willingness to put make up on in the morning, when I go to work I’m ready in 10 minutes lol
I wish i had that discipline though. I am too lazy.
I get this!!!! I dont feel confident unless my sparse eyebrows are filled out, my hair is curled, and the moles i have on my face are free from hairs.
I suffer from rosacea since i was 13 as well. Thank you for your videos, i like to hear you say the truth, that noboby accepts.
Cheers
yes; also my dermatologist said to always wear moisterizer - there are moisterizer creams that are tinted and have spf
Yes also great! Many spfs nowadays have moisturizing properties. Lots to choose from, for solid recommendations I follow some derms here on YT like Dr Dray
Especially as she's Australian
omg your natural skin is so beautiful. i am literally jealous!
honestly girl, you without makeup is sooooooooooooooooooooooo gorgeous... yes girl. i think you look naturally pretty, and have a healthy glow.
I don't do makeup, but I've found eating healthier, drinking water, wearing sunscreen and dressing good is more than enough to feel beautiful daily ❤
I appreciate your transparency and openness.
no bc this is all FACTS. as soon as I wash my hair & when its down I look so much better (without makeup)
Putting my jewelry on is literally my tip and trick to feel good on days when I feel like a bum lol I was so surprised when you said that.
I agree ☝️
7:57 just like the jewelry advice, I feel this way about nail polish. When I have a fresh - unchipped - coat of nail polish on I feel so much prettier.
I love how honest Stephanie is with us! She is gorgeous inside and out!!
Please do an updated makeup routine! We need a tutorial ASAP! Ilyyyy been following you for legit YEARS! And have learned so much. ❤
Aw do you know what, my every day makeup hasn’t actually changed! I’ve been doing the same thing for years haha! Xx
Literally 😭
so true about the rosacea, with or without the make up my cheeks end up staying red pretty much the whole time.
Lol, just search for ingredients of this product
I found a high SPF sunscreen that mattifies my skin. That's the one thing I now do that makes me feel better - more protected, less greasy-looking. It isn't tinted, but that's fine. (It's Garnier Ombrelle Face Anti-Shine SPF 60. I'm in Canada but you can probably find it in most countries.)
rosacea ! i donno but ur face with it gives u a naturall blush it looks gorgeous i wish i had it
I embraced my flaws a long time ago. 😂
I think you are absolutely beautiful without makeup!
Just doing by brows did a lot for my confidence. It’s hard to make myself do it but even a little shaping helps a lot
The thing is it should be about what makes the woman feel good whatever she prefers ❤
i'm 31 and i find myself prettier without makeup :)
Stéphanie you look stunning with dark hair omg !
There's a whole world of makeup between no makeup and fake eyebrows and eyelashes.
1. Wash your hair
2. Tint your eyebrows if needed
3. Do your skincare
4. Use tinted skincare
5. Make sure lips are smooth and hydrated
6. Put your jewelry on
7. Choose your clothes wisely
8. Focus on what you’re eating and drinking
I did say in the video that typology worked with me on the video
Stephanie said in the video they were working with her, and in the description she thanks them for sponsoring the video 🙂
Is she sponsoring skims too?
How was it not done properly? @KingofDudesssss
I agree about the jewelry thing … you just feel more put together.
I have rosacea and it’s terrible!! Thank you for the tips! Unfortunately my nose deals with the brunt of it and it stands out so much.
Stephanie, when I started taking Spironolactone for excess hair growth, my rosacea improved immensely. I no longer take the medication, and except for the occasional "bump," the rosacea has not returned.
I have rosacea too since I was 12. It’s very uncomfortable. But now I’m 27 and I can live with it. Finally
You’re so pretty without makeup. ❤
I don't wear makeup because I don't like the feeling of something on my skin. Just some lipgloss or eye liner. 🤷🏻♀️
Same
I agree with everything Steph said but also consider:
1. Buying cute hair accessories- I can’t bother with doing my hair because I have an oily scalp and by the next day I have to shower again. BUT having cute hair accessories always helps with feeling put together! I feel like a Princess :)
Personally, I love seeing people’s natural real skin:))
Happy Mother’s Day!
