6:11 Love the hype from JOE! I hear he's blasting some metal in the background as well 🤘 Trying to go from a 19 to 10 HCP this year. I'm throughly enjoying your "realistic" videos, that show you don't have to bomb it 300+ and hit 12+ GIR to play good golf.
Great round! I was shocked to see you not wearing sleeves at Presidio (and trimming off 10 strokes in those conditions). It's one of the trickiest public courses strictly due to its volatility..the wind, temperature, fog, and rain all impact conditions more than any other course I've played. There's trouble everywhere - uphill holes, PGA difficulty greens, and trees everywhere and this video captured all of it!
Thanks, Joe. You said it perfectly. Presidio can throw everything at you in only 6,000 yards. I love playing there. I'd love it even more if it were 20% less wet :p
Happy New Year Adam. Good to see you back and looking forward to seeing the entire tour footage. That's a great round in those conditions with a misbehaving driver (the backswing looked a little longer and way across the line at the top). Only a Canadian would comment about the miserable conditions....while wearing short sleeves 😂
Haha thanks Lindsay. Indeed, the overswing with driver has a habit of getting *too* extreme. I played ~50 rounds in two months and there was a period of 10-15 rounds that I was fighting it. And lol, I actually generally try to wear shorts regardless of the temperature. So if I'm wearing pants, you know it's a cold one out there :p
Thanks! It's so cool to see all of the love for Presidio in the comments. I feel like it gets a bad rap around the City...I think it's one of the cooler munis around.
It’s not cold terrible conditions if you’re wearing a t-shirt. I like the style of the video. The pace of going shot to shot kept me engaged. Good work.
Thanks, Lee! And haha, 45 degrees, wet and windy is cold by my standards. Presidio is very hilly so I nonetheless got sweaty walking up/down hills carrying my bag and a tripod, so I ditched the sweater.
Without a doubt, your game has helped my mental game. Since watching you I am scrambling more and more for Pars and Bogeys (typical Doubles that absolutely destroy my round and mindset). I have also tweaked a few things on my irons that have me landing a couple of Birdies each round when I typically only get one with 5-9 pars depending on my round. I've been playing the Blues on a 7,000 yard course in Indy and when the Wind is howling, it makes my course so long.
nice to have you back Adam! I have to say Joe looks like a great guy to shoot a round with! I'm making the trip from London ON to Vancouver in June this year and could definitely use your help choosing some courses to play! all the best for 2022!
Thanks, Alex! Hope you have a great time here and feel free to shoot me an email for some course talk - maybe we can even play a round together! adamsofine at gmail dot com
Glad to see you back. Definitely different backswing on the drives, maybe too fast and not as “outside” as you have been? But the good part? You have lots of old videos too look at to check where you are at. But great score regardless, and boy those greens looked sooooo slooowwww!
I've been keen to see more videos, and am stoked to see it be back at the Presidio! I shot 91 there in a monsoon, and a 79 in similar conditions looks like straight par golf to me
Thanks, Gordon. Yeah, I can see myself shooting even par at Presidio on a good day (in good conditions) or 100 on a bad day. It's a great little layout. When was the last time you were there?
@@NotAScratchGolfer I played on December 29th. Pretty much rained all day, which gave me the course largely to myself. Plenty of standing water, so whatever your carry is, that's how far it was going!
@@NotAScratchGolfer Sadly, no. I would definitely remember him (his presence was awesome in this video). I'm still goggling over that tricky pitch on 18 that you hit.

Great to see you finally back Adam! I have been taking some tips from watching the channel and have since dropped 7 shots!! Playing of 10 now, distance is an advantage... not a necessity
Wow man that’s a huge improvement! Where have you been shaving strokes? What have I shared that you found helpful? Would love to know so I can expand on this stuff if it would be helpful.
@@NotAScratchGolfer in general you don’t have the most distance (which means nothing) and I’m the kinda guy to put 110% into everything, as you have your 5 wood and hybrid on a good level enough to advance towards the hole, i practiced with my hybrid a lot to have that 190-210 shot in my locker I found it tougher hitting of the fairway than the tee box so that played a big part, also taking less club and swinging slower (basics) but my ego gets the best of me a lot of the time lol, great stuff mate.
Hey Adam! Been a big fan of the videos and seeing some home town courses you’ve played (in SF)! If you’re ever back in tow would love to get a round going with you! I am by no stretch a scratch golfer but love the game!

Happy new year, scratchy. Do you walk when you're doing these videos? I find it super difficult here in Florida to keep up with pace of play, let alone setting up a camera and shooting. Extra respect for that, and I love your post-production too.
Haha. I've got to say that I find golf course dress codes to be the silliest thing about the game. I'm of the opinion that if you keep pace and respect the course, you should otherwise be able to do whatever the hell you want.
Used to play this course on the regular. It teaches you quickly how to play golf. Rarely a flat lie, drivers mostly up hill, and poa greens make for a niche challenge. And that's not even counting Karl(a) the fog! I'd say the distances on the card are 10% shorter than real life. Thick air and oceanside wind paired with sea level elevation, it's a challenge few will experience.
And I didn't even mention Joe! He's a legend. I've golfed with him several times. He's a kind veteran and anyone that plays there regularly is a friend of his. Great video. ❤
It's so weird as an Australian seeing so many eucalyptus trees on this golf course. I wonder why they were chosen to populate the rough - they make a shocking mess and are very fire prone.
Fitz Roi asking the real questions. In life, I'll take a Smokie. On the course, I'm more of a "scrof down a quick dog" kind of guy. The Smokie stands too high a risk of wanting to come out the other end before the end of the round.
definition of a hack golfer my guy. awful looking swing but usually gets the job done. should be playing the tips if ur handicap is 10 and under especially since the majority of these course aren’t long although it sure they’re challenging.
