Played here and Half Moon Bay Ocean last weekend with my Dad and Brother. Presidio was the most fun I've ever had on a golf course. We took carts, but I'm working so hard on improving fitness, etc so I'm able to walk Presidio
This guy's high! Presidio is 10 times nicer that Harding Park smh. It's not even close lol. I shot 75 at Presidio in 1991. $12 walking when it was military.. If you're a hang belly you better get a cart. or you won't make it. I birdied 4 and 15. It 's an awesome course. The history, the ocean air and the scenery are amazing. Love the echo of the crack of the driver in the eucalyptus trees. Go to Tomaso's Pizza after on Broadway and Kearney. Amidst some titty bars n porno shops but the best pizza and coldest beer in town. It's in one of the Dirty Harry movies.
For more consistent strike and better distance control with your wedges, you should try to use your left arm as a clock dial. For example, if your left arm is parallel to the ground you would call that 9 o'clock. If you take an 8 o'clock, 9 o'clock, and 10 o'clock with all of your wedges the distance control is so much easier.
Brendon, ever figure out how to shallow out your angle of attack with your wedges and make a more crisp contact with a shallower divot?, I have the exact same problem, I am striping my woods and leaving myself wedges into most greens but hitting half of them fat with divots so deep my friends are asking me if I have a mining permit for those holes!
@@BEBETTERGOLF It was awesome back when it was military. Not half the traffic and perfect conditions. Back when steel spikes were allowed one morning a very rare frost had started to appear. We were first out playing at sunrise and on the 2nd tee a maintenance guy drives up on a cart and asks which one of us was playing with football cleats on. We were like "what?" Ice had formed on our spikes and the first green was full of dents. The practice green was all dented up too lol. We had to stop for two hours. No big deal. Great days. Miss them.

Nx time your there play Sharp Park in Pacivica its close to a century old and its beautiful I played the Presidio in 05 and loved it!
Who knew you could build trees
Played Bonville recently and the trees are very high. Best thing is there are not many branches and you see your ball flight like never before.

one of my biggest regrets when i lived in the bay area was not playing this course. heard great things about it but never ventured out there.
It’s the place I MOST want to go back to! What a fun challenge!
take Presidio over Harding Park 11 times out of 10
patentappliedfor me too. If it was private it would be thought of as one of the best in the world
I concur 200%

brendon what is your handicap at right now.
Have you seen Phil Mickleson's short game video?
Yes, it’s solid
is the apex on the first shot the amount of height you usually get?
Finally!
No more flamingo?
+Stephen O'Sullivan sometimes. Not every single time anymore
Presidio is a nice golf course, but for nearly the same price, I'd play Harding Park which is much, much better.
smh no way
