she left to focus on school, then came back to debut solo with 24 hrs and fullmoon as a comeback, they were such big hits. that style of music she did then was all really jyp, it was how he made his solo artist sing, very breathe-y and minimalistic i guess. a bit later, she came back with wondergirls but as a band, i really hope u check out i feel u and why so lonely! and they disbanded and she came back with the big ass hit gashina and it was really the type of music she wanted to do and loves to do! not to mention how jyp wishes he had gashina under his company catalogue lmao
The girl who doing rap part in full moon is lena. She was jyp traine n rumored to debut with Twice member (jihyo, nayeon, jeongyeon) back then. But she leave jyp after this collab.
Brave Sound = Brave Brothers production team/company owners. Lots of songs they have produced have "Brave Sound" somewhere in the beginning of the songs.
The Heroine is deff my fav by her, maybe its the lyrics, i just love how they talk, it feels a very sad real to me i think it talks about both the toxicity of a relationship as well as a celeb having to keep up a front
Sunmi came back to wonder girls in 2015 with the 80's retro hit "i feel you" and closed out with group's final hit in 2016 with "why so lonely". In 2017 they disbanded with a final track called "draw me." I recommend all three songs but I REALLY love the Dingo's tipsy version of Why So Lonely. I think Sunmi is a little more than tipsy in the video....🎉
Sunmi! YAYY! One of my fav solo artist. She def has such a special place in my heart 💕 Oneus and the Boyz covered Heroine on RTK so well! They didnt deserve the rank they got!
Yeaaaaaaaah "Heroine" is one of my favorite Sunmi title song but it is sooooooooooooooooo short! Dreamcatcher JiU and Dami did a smexy cover of "Full Moon" during their first online concert in 2020 but I think it is kind of difficult to find it (even in the VOD they removed the cover). I also love "Siren" for the meanings in both lyrics and MV. And you did not mention "24 hours" (be careful of how 🤯🤯🤯 this one is) and "Noir" (such a great song!). Thanks for the reaction and this Sunday Solo! 💜 Looking forward to the next one! (Btw Chungha has a comeback today 19th of January but I don't know if you will react to it before).
Her videos Gashina, Heroine, Siren and Noir are VERY cinematic. Even Lalalay and Pporoppipam are beautiful cinematic master pieces. This girl really has a flare
When the Full Moon video came out, she was forced to change/tone down certain parts of the choreo (Im sure you can guess which ones) for music shows...so yeh, you rarely see anyone covering the original choreo, just depends on the show, company, etc.
Lena is the rapper, fun fact she was a child actress in memoirs of a geisha (I think she played a school girl) anyways pretty sure she went back to America to pursue a diff career
I haven’t seen the LOONA cover but I think they did the broadcast version of the original Full Moon choreo? Back in the day, they had to censor the OG dance for broadcasting purposes bc it was too sexual lol. For some reason, her songs with JYP as a soloist were very sensual. You can check out 24 Hours (I believe it’s the debut as a solo artist) too! After she left, her music became super different. I like “both” Sunmis tho. :)
I think Noir and Black Pearl are two very cool songs from her. Black Pearl doesn't have an MV but there's an official lyrics video... With no subs. Still it's an incredible song and one where she really dug deep and showed a pretty raw side of herself. On that note there's also Borderline which talks about what she talked about in Running Girls. I remember Sunmi saying that she wants to be a mom (I don't remember if it was during an interview or on LieV or something), she's going to be an incredible one.
right after u check out TAEMIN'S MOVE, id recommedn u the collab Sunmi and Taemin did on this MAMA where they both featured in eachother;s performances of MOVE and GASHINA, legendary i tell u.
YUP! There's even a Taemin performance of GOODBYE(my fave by him) with TWICE's JIHYO n MOMO and ofcourse u cant leave out him and Seulgi on SMTOWN i really like his performance stage with BTS's JIMIN too, legends.
NO so Fun fact, at 11:47 (your reaction time) when she jumps and falls on the rain, it was a real fall, she couldn't walk the rest of the day and have scars on her legs for it. You should react to NOIR, very dark song about the "LIKES anxiety" and what people is willing to do for them.
Sunmi's original was very sexy. Loona's cover paid good homage to it but it was toned down a bit. Maybe the Loona member preferred it or it may have been a stylistic choice. It could also be that trends have changed in kpop mvs and most girls don't do things quite that provocatively anymore.
Noir I already know, one of my favorite tracks from her. Really have to check out Borderline though since I just saw it pop up on Running Girls. Also basically just cried as Sunmi spoke openly on the show about her struggles
@@KpopPrince yes , knowing she tolerated it for such a long time and didn't say anything breaks my heart. Borderline is a good imagery of what she talked about.

"This is the hottest version of Fiddler on the Roof I've ever seen." I actually can't.
If I were a rich sexy vampire ~ 💃

LOONA was still pretty young so I could see them not going as hard
its "heroinE" not herion, so not about love being a drug
