It is so exciting to go from learning to build a pool at your workshop to seeing you pour a direct analog to my house design challenge. Having the shout-out to our fellow workshop attendee from LA is great.
Have you looked into using post-tension concrete for the roofs so that the roof wouldn’t require any other form of waterproofing? Also, then the slab could be thinner but still stronger. Very curious to know your professional opinion on it!
nice! honestly, what's it cost to have John come to AF? between KNOWING he'll do a perfect job, his more modest rate, how much is the risk worth to ya? would having other work in the area to bounce to/from during cure times help? ...i'm still lookin for land, lol.
@@all3pools if you are taking it to the next level, why not? Add in a lb/yd of microfiber to help with plastic and drying shrinkage, and a few lbs/yd of macro fibers to give the rebar some backup. If you really want ultimate performance, look up internal curing. Dr. Jason Weiss has a few lectures about it on RUclips.
Doing the math, . . . . . works out to $19.60 per sq. ft. Not $10.00 a sq foot. About twice what was stated. $8.00 per sq. ft. for the insuldeck alone. Not sure what to think now. I had intended to have a concrete deck and roof on my ICF build.
Thanks for including costs and all! Great honest informational video.

Agreed, he’s got a lot of cool stuff going on out there!
Amazing work! Thank you for specs and grading pins suggestion.
If nothing else, take my like and subscribe for telling us what things actually cost, very informative.
Thank u
Superb work…
Saw John on Lake Lot Build. He's the master of the pour.
I’ve been waiting for this one 😊
very good, and, an excellent choice for opening music.
Awesome job. That's a ton of mud.
250 tons is closer;)
Beautiful
Is that fiberglass rebar? if so, why then use steel rebar on the edge (i'm guess because fiberglass is not bendable)

I subscribed immediately after hearing the "biden got a hold of ya".
No link to the video of the ICF house.
How much was the concrete per yard? Im south of nashville and thought it was 150ish per yard here. Is it higher there?
It’s about 160 here, I was in Columbia tn a while back and you guys were more like 200 delivered…
May i ask why insul deck over lite deck
Cost comparison to pre cast panels?
Tilt up? 25% probably

Good info. We want to build an ICF home in Bluffton / Hilton Head area. Do you or do you know anyone that can build us one?
nice!

So they have a pump parked without a driver rn…. It’s on my mind;)
@@all3pools ...lmao, hell ya! yet another skill to learn
Awesome pour. The music you play with the drone and work footage is too loud compared to the scenes where you are talking
👍🏼
Why no wet curing or fiber? That would seem like a no brainer for belts and suspenders concrete.
Fiber with that much rebar? We did wet cure

wish i had your concrete pourer. our guy was honestly an idiot constantly on the phone with some person barely paying to the pour itself.
i hope i get luck and find my pump man for 4000 sq ft icf job at 7000 ft in new mex , ola american guy
There’s only one in that part of the world lol

Material is about $10 which was super clear…. Build deck retails closer to $5!
