Pure visual and hearing pleasure. We are back again in my 2022 Subaru WRX STI carving through some Vegas mountains. This 2.5L boxer (unmodified) engine pumps a healthy 310hp, 290tq putting the power down with its symmetrical AWD. Yes the power and interior are dated, however I see these as one of the last modern, back-to-basics JDM sport sedan. Subaru claims they will no longer be making the STI with a pure internal combustion engine. The successor is rumored to be either fully EV or hybrid. This 2022 model year what I believe to be the most refined STI Subaru will ever make in the next 10 years. Is this car still worth considering in the world of GR Corollas and Civic Type Rs? Do you believe in picking these up before the price skyrockets like its Evo X enemy?
