The spinal chord probably wouldn't make noise, most of the noise would probably come from muscle tissue being torn open. Real life isn't like mortal kombat where Scorpion rips out people's spines. The chord is not capable of doing that, and the cartilage in between each vertebrae is for compression not holding it together.

I don't know if she should attack IT at all...it's a no win situation for her. I saw her grab a knife; even if she were to kill IT with a knife, IT's blood is acidic, and it could spray on her and kill her that way too...at least that's what I know from watching Alien. In other words...she's screwed.

Wow! I mean...wow. It was great seeing that scene again but from the perspective of the neomorph! Looked amazing in 4k through the Vive.
This would be a great intro to an alien game where you play as a neomorph.
The way the alien's perspective came about seemed kind of allegorical. It appears as though its consciousness was conjured from nothingness. Briefly suspended in the primordial imagery of the cosmos, and then rapidly integrating into the perspective of this alien subject. Maybe Ridley is trying to demonstrate the miracle of all life, even if it means to slaughter ours in the process.
