  • High Seat via Bleaberry Fell, back in the same area as last weeks video to bag another Wainwright...the 80th of this my 8th round!
Rather better conditions on this visit, crucially little wind.
My previous visit is here:- • Walla Crag & Bleaberry...
    Thanks for watching

It's a great little shelter on Bleaberry Fell and very welcome in the high winds. It's a right bog over the Fell to High Seat but so worth it for the summit view from there. Aye I bet it was a brutal downhill, which is why I always go up it and get it out of the way lol, cheers Alan

Aye hard on the knees going down, but the bonus was the bus was at the stop in about 1minute👌
You're right it's a wet going on the ridge! Sorry for the late reply, I'm in Preston Hospital recovering from Neuro Surgery at the moment.
I'll be back in the hills soon 👌

Should have carried on and done High Seat the other day but as I have to use the bus presently and I'd just been ambling about I was tied for time.

You just smash these Lakeland fell walks Alistair! You are so knowledgeable and I still feel you are related to the big man himself that is wainwright! You are definitely our very own personal wainwright! Can I ask what boots you are wearing? Not sure how often we will get to the Lakes this year due to hopefully having two holidays abroad but we always have your channel to live the Lakes! Stay awesome and have a great weekend 😘❤️

The boots are Karrimor Hot Rock, from Sports Direct, they are of variable quality! Those are my third pair in 18months. They are very cheap and waterproof enough for my needs I treat them as sacrificial 🤔. I'm out almost every day so they take a battering.
2 holidays! Those 🐻 had better watch out! Wherever you go I hope you enjoy them 👍

The a66 valley indeed, great views of Blencathra in the background, love the close up shots of the boots walking past, think it should be a staple shot of any hikers vlog. Had a bit of company on Bleaberry, cracking shot of the military plane underneath, that would make for a viral short im sure. Great trig point and cairn on High Seat, what a belter. Great shots of Derwent Water, hard to beat anywhere. Colonel Sanders was determined to get in on the action in the parting shot! Cracking video as always. Have an awesome weekend, see you on the next ❤ 🥾

Ha ha, yes I walked up with the couple from just beyond Walla Crag to Bleaberry Fell we had a good chat... made the climb pass quickly.
That was the Third Airbus Atlas I saw that day! I didn't have my specs on so the framing wasn't very good.
It's a cracking trig, and believe me I was glad to see it 😂😲
I knew he would get himself in the frame as soon as I saw him 🤣🤣
Enjoy your weekend, thanks for watching and commenting it's very much appreciated.

@@WainwrightWalksWiaLocalLad oh thats nice that the couple were not a hindrance to the hike, hate it when it feels like the entire day is spent within a short distance of the same hikers! That Airbus is cracking, id honestly think about putting it up as a short, has a much larger audience than our humble hiking and mountaineering does! The stone work on the trig was very special, id say only found in the Lake District! Shoelace lesson week? Can’t come soon enough for me. About to embark on a massive hike today, i can guarantee i’ll be lacing half a dozen times! 😂🥾

Alastair once again that was beautiful. It was amazing to see in top of that plane, just glad you didn’t have the drone out 😳👍

      @WainwrightWalksWiaLocalLad  Год назад

We get a lot of military planes flying low, usually RAF Typhoons or USAF F15 Eagles. That Airbus Atlas was the third that day... shame I didn't frame it better ☹️
I'm always slightly concerned about putting the drone up, one of them would suck it up and spit it out in a million pieces I think 🤔.
