Great Video and it really does look a nice walk. Spent some great weekends and weeks in the Lake District with my Dad who we sadly lost a few weeks ago. You're right, we do have less time than we think and nothing prepares you for the loss of a parent. You've got a subscriber and keep up the great videos.
Hi Russell, thank you very much for not only taking the time out to watch the video, but also for subscribing, it means a lot, thank you. I am so very sorry to hear about your dad’s passing, I feel your pain. Sending my best wishes. Warren
I came here because of the title und you took me right home. I was born in Grasmere 71 years ago and went to school there as well. Walking home meant walking up Red Bank road or if my mother had the time, taking the Chapel Stile path. Home was High Close YH for the first eight years of my life. Walking along Loughrigg Terrace to Rydal Caves or going for a swim in Grasmere Lake are memories ingrained in my heart and mind. My children know that I would like my ashes to be scattered over Loughrigg Fell. On a side note, ten years ago I came back with my sister and I surprised her with Rydal Caves and we walked the Coffin Route. I remember also that larches were being felled up Red Bank. Thank you. Take care.
Thank you for your lovely message and I’m glad it brought home many memories. It’s such a wonderful place, I am going back with my wife and mother in law in a couple of weeks, so I think I’ll be doing another film or two there. Many thanks and sending my best to you. Warren
@@RedHatDiaries Edit: not Chapel Stile of course, it was Huntingstile. I tend to mux those two ip. But I still remember our telephone number at High Close, which was Langdale two-one-two. 😂 Our brain is a weird machine.
Lump in my throat, tears in my eyes. Thank you for sharing this breathtaking, moving and humbling video. Special experience for me, watching at home on my bench in the garden. The accompanying music was so fitting also. Many years ago, we had the most wonderful holiday in Ambleside and carry such special, happy memories. You and your family are very special to us - beautiful souls - grateful to know you 💕💗. Thank you……
Hi Karen, what a lovely message and I’m glad you enjoyed the video, it really is a special place. Thank you for being such a special friend to us all ❤️❤️
Really enjoyed watching your video following Trevor and yourself in the Grassmere area what a beautiful place with spectacular views thanks for sharing, bye for now.👍🐶
How time flies eh? I remember taking that photo 23years ago! Such precious memories with precious people, beautiful and sad to look back on but lucky to have had that time together ❤️❤️
We had a family day out yesterday. A stroll along our local canal towpath produced a Kingfisher flying past us, and a Slow Worm spotted on the ground. ( I managed a quick video of the Slow Worm 🪱 on my uploads ) Everyone was so happy to be out in nature, something last winters rain deprived us of. Your videos are very positive, very informative, and very powerful, showing people that the simple things in life are the best............... Hope your car isn't too expensive to fix 🤞🤞🤞
Beautiful film and so moving. Thank you! I’m going to try and ‘be more Niall’ ♥️
Thanks H, I’ll buy you a Guinness when we’re next out then! 🥰❤️
