A loop knot creates a presentation advantage for streamers as well as leaches and any fly representing a live "wiggly" food source. Good one Dan!

Thanks Brian! Sometimes just a change to this knot will make all the difference. Thanks for watching!

Hi Dan, the knot I forgot how to tie is tying 2 lines together instead of using a barrel swivel.
I took my fly for a walk and my dog was like ahhh no you take ME for a walk! 😂

Thanks Dan! Great tips. I use the Canoe Man Loop knot on all streamers and jig flies. No doubt that it improves the catch ratio. Learned it from Capt. Chris Myers a Florida guide on RUclips who catches huge Tarpon using it. (Also learned how to cast flyrod from his channel). Quick and easy and never had a problem even with carp to 20+lbs. Catching nice bass at night on large black flies lately.👍 Have a great week my friend. Fish On! 👍👍👌🎣

I had another way to tie that loop knot, but it was too hard to tie with light tippet. This one looks easier. I gotta try it.

According to Kelly Galloup, all baitfish run downstream away from the threat. That's why stripping downstream works so well.

It’s crazy how few people do this - so effective. More often than not - when I explain this technique it’s new to someone. Thanks for commenting!

I tie that on all my streamers, but I don’t know if I’d trust it on a tarpon

I generally use the bigger versions; I have used the smaller on small creeks with great success.

Non slip loop knot. Local early YTuber Nic Clayton got me on to that. He's a full time Captain now so not much new content but check out his videos for lots of salt water action. All still valid teachings.
