3:39 was the best one. Very fun and unexpected as this level isn’t a “sky zone.”
Interesting side note - this is actually Sonic 3 & Knuckles. You can tell because the mini-boss theme of regular Sonic 3 had a Michael Jackson sample to it that isn't used here, and was replaced with S&K when plugged into S3 by the S&K miniboss theme instead. :)

I played this game once, I only reached up to Hydrocity zone act 1. First reason is because the drowning alarm scares me and that time was the only time I played in a while.

LOL When I first played this game I specifically remembered the hydrocity mini boss sharing the same boss music as the normal bosses and the rest of the mini bosses having different music than what is played here.
That happens when the drowing music Is being played. If you leave the water then the game for some reason doesnt check If you're on act 1 or act 2 Boss, so It changes to the wrong Boss music. This doesnt happen If the drowing theme doesnt play.

Robotnik was always known as Eggman in Japan but elsewhere he was Robotnik until the release of Sonic Adventure.
This Eggman also burned down a part of Angel Island too.

Did you guys noticed that Eggman doesn't laugh at you anymore, like Sonic 1 and 2? It's like he had enough, he doesn't have pleasure in anything anymore.

Nah sonic 3 alone is the second to worst sonic game in my opinion.The bosses are hot garbage the levels take way longer resulting in time overs on carnival night zone. The only zones I like were angel island one and 2, hydrocity act 2 and both ice caps the rest of the levels are too long and hard like marble garden. This game is just too overrated by people blinded by nostalgia.

Even though the half I have in the collection is Sonic and Knuckles, I have that AtGames plug in and play SEGA Genesis. While the music is lower pitched in the collection, I prefer how the primary boss theme sounds because the lower pitch makes the sound of the song more threatening

I've played this but I got stuck in the *BARREL* part in the Carnival Zone
I did too but I managed to pass it. You need to use the D Pad and jump higher.
Press down on the d-pad
For years, we considered The Barrel to be the true final boss until we discovered all you had to do is just press up and down
