Things must have changed a lot in Colombia, when I visited, moving around the country by plane was insanely expensive, it was either that or a 12 hours bus....

Spent four months in Thailand in 2013, mostly in Chiang Mai and the surrounding area in the north. Spent some more time in Thailand in 2017, mostly in Bangkok. Spent two months in Cambodia also. I love both those countries. Can’t wait to go back. And maybe stay there for good. Namo Buddhaya 🙏🏼 ☸️ 🌴

Turkey is still relatively cheap especially for buses .. and food.. it s also easier to explore. Istanbul is a wonderful place and for around 2 gbp you can take the ferry around the Bosphorus and also go to Princes Islands. The list is endless .. Found Mexico much more expensive.. not how I imagined it especially intercity buses a complete rip off. I found Thailand a struggle as asthmatic so needed transport not hijes and even a tuk tuk has gone so high. V interesting and lively hostels though. I took a tour of Vietnam and due to heavy climate it was so worth it.

What happened to Cambodia? And Malaysia? And Sri Lanka? I love Thailand. Been there twice. But Cambodia and Malaysia and Sri Lanka… and also India….can be dirt cheap and great to visit.

Hi. How do I find out how safe these places are? A lot of people don’t like Americans, or Black Americans 😢
