Bayson R had a tutorial on installing this grill .. the guy used double stick tape as well when he attached the grill to the bumper . No issues .
One of the cleanest MS3s I. I just got a genpu and popped that k04 on the highway. Might have to make a channel soon lol
I like the open mouth grill look with the intercooler behind it..plan on getting once i go front mount
Yo this is one of the cleanest speed 3's i've ever seen , I do have one question, where did you get that front crash bar from and what size front mount did you go with?
That tab next to the tab that you put the screw into is what causes this. I cut that tab off when I installed mine and never had that sagging issue. That small tab is what is pushing the top of the grill down
Thanks man, ended up screwing that tab up and holds it great now!
@@RoadRoyals mainly commented to help out anyone coming across this. Know it's a little too late to mention for you lol
@@jb6574 haha I appreciate it! Cheers🤘
Just bought one today, can’t drive it till I move states. But so HYPED, what’s the link for this today
i know this is hella late but i just got a speed3 2012 and i cant find where to get that kit for the open mouth
I'm not even sure who would make them anymore!
I've seen people use a black epoxy the fill that gap in the top of the grille. it actually works really well.
What is that filter behind your grill with the “m” logo on it? It’s sick lol. Is that an engine bay filter? Getting into all this stuff and still learning lol. Love ur build! It’s badass. Ima keep watching your stuff.
Sorry for the late response! It's an intercooler for the turbo!
Where did you get this grill from? Trying to find it
@@RoadRoyals any idea where people are getting these? I keep finding dead links
@@IveGotChicken bayson r motorsports sells those open grills
IveGotChicken hit him up on ig whitezilla
So glad I had that emblem shaved. Looks so much cleaner.
@@RoadRoyals pretty sure I am the only guy that has ever done it... only other time I have seen it is with an entire aftermarket bumper.
Would this also work for the Mazda Miata?
Mesh… or thin horizontal fins? When I try to figure out the flow of air, and the turbulence… something tells me the mesh is not ideal, not that the stock “grill” is any good, but that a better option can be made. Damn having a wind tunnel would be awesome 😎
Never mind, it was a suggestion for improvement not criticism
I’m 90% certain you push the center of those plastic pieces holding upper plastic in in order to take them out. It’s been awhile since I messed with the bumper, but pretty sure that’s how you remove them
Do you plan on creating some ducting to help direct air to the radiator? I’ve heard that the open mouth grille affects coolants temps because the air just goes everywhere unlike with the stock grille
You won a new sub. 👍🏻🔰
Ya this grill has got to go. Its fugly and I've had some nice ones. It's happening. 😆 show me this one n help us get a nice one, no a hot one. Mine has some stud thing on it too.
That thing is way too low?!
You know that it's on air suspension, right?
Hey dude you from elkton md
