I recently got one of these from a family member. 92 LS wagon with the 3.0 Vulcan V6, same interior options, except it has cloth bench seats and a blue interior. The exterior is blue too. Not quite in the same condition as this one because it sat outside and the paint is faded except on the left side of the car, and completely peeled off on the hood and top of the wagon.
@@411CarLineofficial I almost had the chance to buy a white 86 LX wagon in Portland Oregon 3 years ago. It had the rare instaclear windshield option on it but my dad got in the way. I'm angry at him for doing that because he doesn't understand how rare the gen 1 Taurus and Sables are now, especially the early ones.

I might go look at a 1988 wagon. Owner says 55k on the vehicle, it’s quite clean. Not sure how I feel about the car, from what I’ve seen they’re somewhat reliable?
@@411CarLineofficial probably the car was stored under roof, because paint isn't cracked... Usually even in dry climate after 15 years small cracks appear on paint ...
@@AWDSWD this one appears garage kept. Most kept under a roof will have some side paint damage due to sun hitting at a funny angle. Buy a lot of cars from hot sun states so have noticed a trend. Also get a lot of clear coat bake. My guess on this one is garage based on the condition of paint and rubber/plastic

That is awesome. There are not many around anymore. As long as it is mechanically sound, body is just aesthetics. Epic 90's car though.

Sounds like a clean car! Yes they are generally reliable.
Just make sure to change the transmission fluid and filter every 30,000 miles or so, maybe put a cooler on it too.
