yup...just found this tonight. Since hubby loves tuna we'll no doubt have some cans around to use. I'm not a fan of cleaning, but I might find a scrubber someplace.

This is a wonderful find for me, because my apartment is all electric. At the rate things are going today you never know when you'll have to turn to an alternative way of feeding yourself. This is clever and simple. Thank you so much for this share
Theres better ways look up isopropyl alcohol heaters i use 1 like the video with duct work a stack boot an a 90 dgr , 450dgr heat for a 2 to 4 hours with a decent size can an use 70% burns longer u can use a lil 91% on top for more heat but get it at the $ store 16oz for 1$ =8 a gallon That will heat for 24 hours easy Alot cheaper than other things an if the power gies out these are amazing !

I made an aluminum stove that was three sided and held a sterno stove in eighth grade. I loved camping and would hike up in the hills when I visited my grandparents in West Virgina. And camp out over night sometimes too. Anyways the elder blossom flood came on one spring and washed the outhouse down the creek breaking the gas line. And we used my little stove to cook on. My grandpa was so proud. He doubted it at first. But once it got that iron skillet hot and the ham was sizzling I thought he’d bust.
Absolutely delightful!!! You are a lovely hoot! Love your sense of humor plus learning how to fix coffee or tea when you hadn't ought to be able too!! Thanks so much for posting!❤❤❤🐺
I did something like this about 30 odd years ago. It was a windy, rainy Halloween. I used an Easy Bake cake pan, a bolt, piece of a shoelace and some veg oil or something. Made a candle that lasted the whole night.
Absolutely love your terminology for thing's. You're so comical! 😂. Your dead grannies vintage tea towel that she left you 😂 lmao. Great video. Thanks for sharing! 👌☺
Im Australian. In the early 70s I can remember metho was purple as a kid. Now its clear. I drop some gention voilet in mine so I dont get it mixed up with my parrifin (shellite) for my tilly lantern and stove. I keep the meths for my trangia, dont want to put shellute in that it will explode. If you want to fry that, stand a good 50 meters back
I've never seen your videos before... But you're delightful! I love your commentary. I laughed out loud by myself for the part about lidless pot videos. Cheers to you ☺️
really an awsome idea you can't beat it man better than a penny stove I think olive oil would work well as a fuel and you could get regular wicks when they go on clearance at the end of the summer
I enjoyed this video very much and informative. And A soft spoken woman. My father and he’s large family was a depression baby and I had learned a lot from and how to get by with out much. And thank you for this video!!!
I imagine that your mother's mom must of told the stories durng the Great Depression. Its good you have pay attention to teach us younger generation to teach to the next. May God bless you of many mre years!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is the first video I've seen from , presumably, an american featuring methylated spirits. Never been able to find it when I've been in the USA. Had to use "yellow heet" instead !
Great video. I notice the tin in the background is from Collin street bakery. I used to live in Corsicana and remember that place fondly. I can't remember his name but there was a guy that ran the place and embezzled a lot of money from there. Interesting read.
Copper pipe with hole's drilled down one side one larger hole to fill the pipe with alcohol or liquid heat. Roll up high heat carbon felt or cut circle's and then stack it inside copper pipe. Sweat end cap's onto pipe. Bend wire to make a stand to place pipe into to keep the burner up right. Make two to three copper pipe's with the wire stand. Now ypu have a alternative burner for your wood stove barbecue or fire place. Stay warm and cheerful love! 😊
Wow, great addition I'll be doing that only with Crisco shortening as fuel. I'll bet that small copper tubing works perfect for the burner and no doubt will put out more heat for cooking and heating. Thank you very, very much for sharing that! Will be thinking of you on my first burn Jim Martin!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Genial y muy , muy sencillo . Mil gracias . Mujer tenía que ser . Al fin y al cabo son las mejores cocineras y las que las toca saber de todo para sacar los hijos adelante y a toda la familia . El matriarcado es un hecho desde siempre y en todo el planeta
Who else is here November 2021? Glad I came across this! LOL Helpful and comedy all at the same time. 👍

Simple, straight forward, tongue in cheek video, not at all long winded like other similar ones, great backing music too👍🏻

No hubbub cutting and drilling and whatever goes along with others.
Love it.

I tried to make one yesterday with similar odds and ends. Flame always goes out after a minute or two.
nylon shoelace/wick?
This was great. Thanks for sharing your idea and your sense of humor!
"Then, strangely, we look at the whole thing as if we've never seen it berore[...]" LOL, can't have a DIY without that shot!

In total agreement with Shelia W. This is clever and simple. Thank you so much and God bless you.

Loved this video. Couldn't believe she only has one. She would be wonderful for audiobooks.

Absolutely loved this video. From opening credits to end. Thanks for the pot scrubber hack!

Best alcohol stove video out there…due both to simplicity and wit!
This is what every diy needs to be like... Using actual random stuff for making stuff... Best diy everr
I enjoyed this video very much and informative. And A soft spoken woman.
My father and he’s large family was a depression baby and I had learned a lot from and how to get by with out much.
And thank you for this video!!!
Cool! 😎😄
I live in California now and have learned how to get along without much!
Never thought to do it this way round. Normally I take an old camping stove, empty it out and fill it with tuna.
😂😂😂😂😂
Great Can stove, thanks ur sharing...
can you use a more common household item for the "fuel".. where do you get that stuff anyway? Never heard of it.
Hi, I use denatured alcohol from Lowe's or a local hardware store.
Aah, that's where I keep going wrong...a LIGHTED match is what I need! Great little idea!
