I wish they'd do a more cinematic approach to their historical battles, something like they did with the Fall of the Samurai's and Teutoburg Forest in Rome II.
Each cutscene is only a few seconds long? I remembered when CA used to go into great detail about the historical battles. Seems so far they can't do anything right.
+gronndar because it's nice to have a background and a story of the battle? Especially compared to what we got in Fall of the Samurai. That was awesome. It's terrible CA abandoned it.
CroGamer002 Agreed. I really liked Medieval 2 historical battles. These new one lack the feels, man. Most of the time, I'm wondering, who are these people, what am I doing etc.
EatTheCheeto It's important to get the pronunciation at least somewhat close. So that people know what the hell you're talking about. So that you try to stay true to the original pronunciation. If the narrator knew anything about French, he'd know that Soissons is not read as swes-sun-nes.
+Alex “Lamayas” Raffeo My guess is that the name for the Kingdom of Soissons would come from the name of the Suessiones tribe, which sounds much closer to his pronunciation. Their city Noviodonum (or present day Soissons, France) was the capital of this kingdom of the Suessiones. Soissons is definitely a much later name, so Suessiones might be a more historical pronunciation. *shrugs shoulders*

Medieval 2 historical battles were the best
1. Soissons
2. Catalaunian Plains
3. Frigidus River
4. Ravenna
5. Utus River
6. Adrianople
7. Samarra
8. Ad Decimum
9. Catargena
Correction on my 4 year old comment: It is actually Cartagena not Catargena. srry.
haha I laughed at 2:06

You could blame Sega.
"The Domain of swes-sun-nes". Did the narrator not even ask or google how to say Soissons?
So?

+Alex “Lamayas” Raffeo I guess, but it's a game. It's not suppose to teach. If it was like a history channel then yes they need to get it right

Logan Henneke Thanks I didn't know about the Suessiones. If they had put Suessiones in the subtitles, that would've solved the problem I think.
4:09 A splendid time when Pushtigban and Gyan Avspar had a full-barded horse and a speed value of 65
0:36 that’s also one of the historic battles in barbarian invasion
Rome and Barbarian Invasion had more explanation and backstory before each battle, jeez guys
Why you skip battle of Dara?!
I live in the Ancient Roman town, where Atilla was 😁
We still have ruins of the Roman Villa, which he destroyed :)
where is it?
@@kermi4654 Izola, Slovenia
sadly. none of them narrated as epic as either french campaign of egypt, battle of arsuf, or siege of osaka.
