I have worked in cellular for many years doing cellphone repair. many repairs were on bloated batteries. customers would regularly overcharge their phone by leaving it plugged in over night while they sleep which is very dangerous.safest practice when charging any device is to keep an eye on it and remove it from the charger as soon as it is close to or completely charged. Samsung phones actually have a setting to keep it from overcharging and only charge to 85% which is useful to help extend battery longevity and mitigate fire risk.

that's why some asian nations are developing and using Sodium Batteries. Sodium Maybe heavier but they won't melt metals when catches on fire or unstable.

i've bought so many of those cheap china "replacement" batteries for iphone on ebay and the most i've ever gotten is 1 year out of them before they swell up and push the screen up. It's cheap junk and with bigger batteries i wouldn't risk burning my house down
