I know this sounds strange but, I always come here when I feel the need to get "right" with the madness around me - just a little 8 minute breather from the world - awesome coolness - Thanx R.J.
Bill Nelson has been one of my guitar heroes since I was a young teen when I first heard "No Trains to Heaven " by Be Bop Deluxe in the late 70's. RJ's guitar playing is phenomenal always is in fact. Nice guitar too by the way ; )
My older brother liked Be Bop Deluxe they seemed to be on Supersonic every other week I preferred Red Noise, more angular and post punkish and more to my taste
Lovely playing RJ. Yes, a beautiful and original look to that axe there. I purchased a nice hollow electric from Eastwood’s Michael R some years ago. It speaks to me in its own way. ❤😊
I'd like to hear it clean, straight into the amp, then with effects. A badass like RJ can make a broomstick with a kite string on it sound good. What does the axe sound like?
I have been an enormous Be Bop Deluxe/Bill Nelson fan since I found his first demo album (a solo effort mainly), 'Northern Dream' or something like that (I still have it obviously but too lazy to go look at the title, LOL), in the early '70s when I wall in college at KU. Then Be Bop Deluxe came out and he really came into his own (I believe mostly he was playing an ES-335 in those days...). LOVE the man and his skill set and pure musicality. I'm really thinking about a deluxe version of this thing just for 'old times sake', but seeing this video convinced me this might actually be a 'player'. Hmmm....let me think about it......
It was an ES 345 the stereo model, his first top quality guitar, a present from his father. His first wife Shirley did a Pete Townshend on it before walking out on him, it was repaired but was never the same again, it once caused him to have an electric shock while using it.
@@vmax4steve524 WOW. That's a gut shot story about the Who act on a great guitar. I always actually hated seeing _______ smash guitars. And amps. I recommend taking it to Jon Ferber (Goez Instrument Repair/JFGuitars) in St Louis, who can literally repair any guitar to as close to the original condition as anyone can and would make it play right again; pass my recommendation along to Mr. Bill Nelson if you can. And THANK YOU for that info!
I really appreciate estwood and airline they are making left of center stuff and the world needs that. Some of the airline stuff is really out there but i am looking heavily at the mercury right now
Can anyone tell me what tune this is he is soloing over? It's beautiful! RJ you are a very soulful player!! Lots of players have knowledge, chops, licks, - you have that! But, brother you got soul by the truckloads!!
Coolness.. İ had an astrojet dlx v2 Shoulda never sold it.. thought it didn't fit me.. but think this one could..! You ever sell those used or are they just demos you give back? God bless.. always great playing
You could nail baling wire to a barn wall and RJ would make it sound beautiful. However I don't think he would sell me a bill of goods on a poor product.
I like the way he just plays it...not spend time opening the box and talking about the smoothness of the fret inlays or finish and bindings...just play it...thats all we need to know. in fact...no talk at all..thats good,
Uh... there's people out there wailing on guitars that'd give other people tetanus. If you actually plan on buying and playing the guitars, things like build quality and ergonomics are actually pretty damn important.
Well Clapton never said he was a great player (it was others who said it) Clapton only ever said that he added some new tone to the palette. Different times...different players. Ronquillo is a great all round player, thats for sure.
Maid in heaven revisited, glorious!
An amazing guitar doesn't make a guitar player amazing. An amazing guitar just makes an amazing guitar player even more amazing! 😍
Man, that thing sounds fantastic. R.J. , you do Bill Nelson proud.
I know this sounds strange but, I always come here when I feel the need to get "right" with the madness around me - just a little 8 minute breather from the world - awesome coolness - Thanx R.J.
Me too. I also come here to learn something new from this fantastic player.
Same. I come here for mysterious guitars and unexpected licks !
He never disappoints.....very tasteful in any style he plays.
That guitar is the perfect mix of strange and cool…I want one
I'll end buying an Eastwood because of you Ronquillo. You're a beast. Thank you!
Me too but which one is going to fit me best … 🐰 🕳️
You are a bad-ass RJ Ronquillo. I love listening to you play. More power to you.

Superb guitar. No more to say about Ronquillo, always in my playlist :)
Beautiful guitar along with great playing.. Kudo Eastwood..

Limitless technique Any style. Any tone. Awesome player. Thanks

Interesting guitar design, with a headstock like D'Angelico used, and RJ making it sound like a stratovarius!
Beautiful instrument, beautiful playing. o/
RJ is becoming my favorite guitarist. Just awesome phrasing and melody.
I couldn't agree with you more. RJ is simply outstanding.
Agree, that's why I wouldn't buy a guitar from him.. He could play with a broomstick and it would work.
Wow!!! That's it. Great job once again RJ. Peace
Great playing and gotta love the Evil Knievel shirt!!
Love this guitar!
Way cool! Thanks for the demo!
Damn it man... you make playing smooth tasty solos look so easy!!!
Lovely guitar playing courtesy of Bills 'touch'
RJ Ronquillo is a wonderful front man for your guitars
I like how the pickup switch is proudly emblazoned with the words "TONE SWITCH" so everybody knows what it is.
R.J.’s solos always have a vocal quality to them, like Ella was singing to these chords.
İ had to come back and revisit.. love it All.. playing of course and guitar is super cool

Love the 'Falcon' style tuners!
Smooth playing
You copped Bills' style nicely.A beautiful guitar befitting a great yet underappreciated guitarist.

this guitar is awesome!
HL McConnell, trust me: it's not the guitar. It's the guy playing it.
ha, for sure. I just love how the guitar looks and RJ's playing is stellar always.
#HL McConnell: Exactly correct. It's RJ's stellar playing. He could make a cardboard shoebox sound great.
@01:03 onwards - chills....and more chills...
I dig the guitar and really like that first jam track. Anyone recognize it?
I just noticed the caption Kiko Loureiro, Super Sonic Sessions jamtrackcentral.com
RJ........Amazing.......lets start a band........teach me.....!
Lol I love your hat where can I buy it :))

No es posible apreciar toda la magnitud sonora de la guitarra si solo la prueban con distorsión .
What’s not to like about that special moment
too bad we can't demo these guitars in a store
Axe Victim... Maid in Heaven
Walter Becker-esque 5:16
Very much. Right off Aja.

@@eastwoodguitarsofficial Looks and sounds great with this guy playing, plus amp and effects.
The lone dislike, My guess is he is sadd he is deaf..........
20 frets???!!! WTF?
I guess he like he loves his job. Makes Clapton sound like a beginner.
Well Clapton never said he was a great player (it was others who said it) Clapton only ever said that he added some new tone to the palette. Different times...different players.
Ronquillo is a great all round player, thats for sure.
that doesn't sound like Bill Nelson at all.
Disclaimer: "guitar does not include Bill"
Excellent. Thank you R.J.
