Sure thing! First thing was to track the drum machine, just line in to the 4-track. Then a mono mic on the acoustic drum kit, which was an EV 635a microphone into Warm Audio WA-12. Then the bass was a G&L Jazz Bass just line in to the 4-track. I used a Motown-Style direct box for this one. (I sometimes make those and put them up on Reverb if you're ever interested. It's hard to find the correct transformers that they used back then, but I luckily bought a few about ten years ago.) The mojo and tone of that bass is really in the D.I. The Les Paul is just simply straight into my Fender Deluxe (no pedals etc) recorded with a DIY ribbon mic. (Bumblebee RM-5, with a different transformer but can't remember what I used when I made it) Mellotron parts were recorded direct to the 4-track using my same Motown style direct box. 08:47 smooth operator beat. So are you even using protools or logic audio pro anymore? I just ordered the apollo x QUAD heitage with the 27 plugins it comes with, I think like 11 are even unison, I have no clue what LUNA is yet, but i think i'll need to ramp up in August my learning curve.
