Travelling solo is great, it gives you so much freedom! And if you've never done it before maybe choose somewhere you feel more comfortable going. I started off going to English speaking places so I knew I'd be able to chat to people easily.

I am a solo traveler. No one wants to put that much money on a trip or to take many days off work to travel. So I do it by myself! and people always look at me like I am crazy, like traveling is something you don't do on your own, but I did my biggest trips by myself and I'm happy I did them!
That's so awesome. I'm the same. I've been travelling a lot for the last decade. A lot of the trips are solo trips, but they are so amazing. Many of people I know do think that why are you going by yourself. I don't understand how amazing it is. You learn so much about yourself & meet so many amazing people 💛
I'm travelling solo around spain right now and one thing that I've found super helpful was reaching out to friends of friends that are in the area even if I don't know them it's nice to see a friendly face and have a plan to meet with someone!
I recently went to Montreal for my 25th birthday by myself! I stayed a small hotel and ate crazy amounts of food, tried poutine for the first time and met a few locals! I went out every night and spent 2 hours in a used bookstore on my birthday!
I imagine it would be fun. Never actually tried it, except for taking the train alone to meet family members or go out alone from my own hometown to eat on restaurants or just go for a walk. But those doesn't quite count if you compare it to travel to another country. I think my biggest issue would be practical things like booking of hotels and plane flights and similar
Great guide for solo travellers because they have to face many issues like budget, planning and accommodation etc you have to do it all by yourself that’s why they say "Travelling helps you to identify yourself". At my last tour to London the first problem was to take comfortable transfer to you hotel in economical rates so I found discount coupons and booked a taxi in London with Waterloocars.co.uk which is offering really good discounts. So I managed everything by finding coupons or discount offers
I'm 17 years old and I will be taking my first trip this October when I turn 18. I've been waiting for this trip for years. I'll living in a hostel in Iceland and working there for two months and having the time of my life. I'm super excited and nervous. I will record and share my experience. I wish I could buy your vlog course but I need the all the money for my trip, I'll definitely buy it when I come back though ;) Thank you so much for inspiring me to travel Nadine :)
+Deep Im so excited for you. At 18 this will be a great experience. Iceland won't disappoint and its so cool that you're going for it and living out your dream. -Ash
Wow that's awesome..I'm obsessed with Iceland and have been for about 2 years now. It is such a beautiful place and if I could go anywhere in the world, I think I would choose to go there. Im looking forward to following your experience..sounds amazing! And +Sally-Ann Cope that is so cool, will you be sharing your experience as well? I'd love to follow it. X
Nadine I love this video so much! Thank you for posting it! I’m taking a 3 week trip to the Philippines to build homes and it’s my first time ever travelling especially alone! You’ve boosted my confidence so much with this video! Thank you!
Currently taking my second solo trip! I'm spending the next four months (maybe more) traveling South & Central America solo. I love going at my own pace, on my own schedule, when I want. It's the best feeling.
+Karmin Marie that's what I'm most worried about or else I'm sick of waiting for people to have money or be able to take time off work to go with me :(
Organized tour groups is great advice. They are so much fun and a great way to make awesome friends that you may be able to stay with when you continue to travel. Wonderful video.
+QueenAurora'sBooks You're right they can be a bit pricey it would take a bit of saving and planning. The cheaper option as Nadine mentioned would be to meet people at your hostel and or meet people through couch surfing to do day trips or travel with. Couch surfing events and forums have been amazing for me to find great people to travel with. -Ash
QueenAurora'sBooks If you pay attention to reviews and read the full profile of the couch surfing host I believe its safe. You just have to be smart about when picking CS hosts or hostels.
I'm used to traveling with my mother. We have been to 12 countries together. She passed away recently and nobody I know can afford to travel with me or they have obligations. I can and don't. I am planning my first solo trip since the first time I went to Europe for a study abroad program. That was 23 years ago when I didn't know anything. Now I know the world a lot better and am a confident and flexible traveler. But it is still a little scary. Thanks for these tips. They make me feel a great deal more confident about this.
The first solo travel I did was to England for study abroad for six months. It. Changed. My. Life. I was not the only international student, so I made friends and a sort of "family" with the other foreigners, and I shed so much of my old self that I began to genuinely like myself for who I was, not just how others saw me. I became resourceful, more independent, learned how to comfort myself or who to reach out to when seeking comfort. And I went to school meanwhile! What an adventure!
I love young people the generation of WHY NOT. Why not travel solo and do what you want to do! I am 60yo I am learning from young generation and travel solo, sleep in the backpackers and loving it. Thanks Nadie.

Hey Nadine! I appreciate you adding the parts about being confident and also problem-solving. I feel a lot of people do overthink certain things while contemplating solo travel. Those pieces of advice are simple, but it also shows that wherever you are in the world, we are all still the same--human. A different time zone doesn't necessarily mean you have to change everything you'd normally do! Thank you for the great videos, and safe travels!
I love solo travel. I always find it funny though, how other people who have never solo traveled say things like "you went by yourself" in a poor you tone of voice or when people say "omg you're so brave" These people mean well, but I think it's one of those situations where even though you've explained why you do it and the advantages, they wouldn't really understand until they've done it themselves haha.
TaurusTrio I want to do a solo 1 week trip to tokyo and i'm usually better on my own but i can get overwhelmed easily but it i also like to be around people if ya get what I mean
TaurusTrio lol.. this is how people react to me when I tell them about my solo travels.. or like "OMG don't you have any friends?!" A lot of people can't seem to wrap their minds around it.
Mam i m frm ladakh .i m interested in travel but economical problem i can't travel far . If u are welling to donate some amount for travel or offer for travelling with u .I feel happy and i will ne great kind ful to u.
I like what you're saying, but the problem is my Mama will then ask me "who are you traveling with?" and when I say no one, she'll be worried for me like checking on me every minute.
Your video was great but you seemed to suggest in many instances NOT do things alone. What is wrong with eating alone? What is wrong with staying in a hotel alone? So many people can’t stand to be with themselves that they need to loose themselves in others. I travel to be with myself and to get away from people! I’m perfectly happy living in a hotel room and eating solo … I never get lonely because I enjoy my activities while travelling. I’m not anti social,I just enjoy my aloness!
I have done solo trips before and am also doing now, the reasons are sometimes not just to travel and I get what you're saying Nadine. Thanks for sharing your experiences and perspectives! ✨♥✨
i travel solo a lot and i love it. agree with all your points. I mainly stay in Bed and Breakfasts in hostels instead though, i feel safer in B&B but still get the companionship and meeting local families. I do a lot of research about the country I'm going to before I fly off, so I know about the driving laws and norms (if i'm driving), social norms, etc etc. Makes me feel more confident when I meet different situations on my travels. I'm heading to Ireland by myself in 8 weeks. so excited!
@@MissPetiteRu it was amazing. The views there are stunning, especially the cliffs. People are wonderful and friendly. And food is amazing. I plan to go back there again sometime soon.
@@Alverya Awe that sounds amazing! I'm so glad you had a great time. I have yet to go to Ireland, but it sounds awesome. I can't wait to be able to travel again & go back to Japan 💛😉
Dear Nadine, you're one of my favorite RUclipsrs ever! I absolutely love travel video's, and yours are just so amazing💗 also your tips are really handy! Keep up the good work! Love ❤️
I'm from Australia and currently in Budapest travelling solo around Europe (starts in Italy, ends in Greece) for 5 weeks. This is my first big solo trip ever and I'm enjoying it so much. So far so good. Anyways, thanks for your positive vibe, Nadine! LOVE this video! Cheers.
I have dreaded solo travelling for a long time. I thought that I always needed to have someone with me for it to count. And then on 2 separate occasions for a local day trip I was stood up by my friends last minute (they had valid reason but still) and since I had everything planned I just went on my own. And it was a little scary and confusing not being able to discussed anything with anyone but I enjoyed myself a lot. So when few months ago it turned out that no one can go to Rome with me, I just went by myself and I loved it. It was more expensive as I am an extreme introvert and needed a place on my own but it gave me so much comfort that I want to keep doing that from now on. No one could complain that I am not doing enough or where I am eating. I am going to Budapest soon on a solo trip and I am excited about it.
awww i absolutely love this video. I started travelling solo when I was 17, but generally found myself surrounded by friends and brief travel companions. I remember when I first hitch-hiked myself I was slightly nervous on a rare occasion but listening to my intuition never led me astray. gotta have that confidence in yourself yes!
I am doing my first solo trip to Tunisia and Spain next month and couldn't be more excited! Couch surfing is a great way to meet new people and to get good advice on things to do, good places to eat, etc. You don't even have to stay with someone, you can just create a listing with your dates of travel and state that you are interested in hanging out.
Great advice! I'm currently in the middle of a 9 month solo adventure in the UK/Europe including a working holiday, backpacking, and a group tour so this was super helpful.
I'm working just outside London right now - probably be here for another couple of months and then go all round the UK after that. Would love to meet a fellow traveller if you're ever in London! Hope the travels are going well :) -Jess
My Little Life We were in London in June and will soon be off the Switzerland and France. I wish you all the best.:) Take a look at my vlog if you'd like:)
I'm a solo traveler too! Pampering and travelling is the only gift you can give to yourself.Experiences, meeting new friends, seeing new places are the key factor to build strong foundation by opening your world to another world!
I will probably die one of these days. Some days I wake up in my hostel, and Thank God I am still alive. But then again, I probably have had experiences people don´t have their whole lives and I would´t change it for the world. I envy men, its easier in a lot of ways.
Aldora LaPlume I see where you're going girl... I don't know much about your experiences or whatsoever but unless you feel like you're trapped in the wrong body, you should NOT envy men, or anyone. On the contrary, embrace yourself, embrace your feminity. Of course, it comes with its ups and downs (so does masculinity though) but you're not responsible for anything that has happened/not happened/would happens/will happens to you. Nothing to do with you or being a girl. The society (some people in it, actually) is wrong, not you. I can see you believe in God, stop envying men and start praying for these bad things in the world to end someday. Keep it up guuurl, have a nice day!
+LE REDDIT COMMANDER I wish I got stuff for free. I can't even slide on five cents at the grocery store. Maybe I need to learn to bat my eyelashes more.
vagabrothers it s funny cuz i was watching one of your vids and I ended up here in jer channel thanks for all the great videos and for showing me this channel (indirectly) love from Morocco ✌🏻
Dear Nadine- I am planning my first solo-travel trip to Southeast Asia for this January. I am so excited. I appreciate all the tips and advice that you give on your channel and I feel that I will be more prepared because it.
Solo traveling is one of the most interesting and unique experiences, especially because of the freedom. Fell in love with it when I spent a week in Iceland this summer.
The first time I traveled solo I met some people I became friends with in Seattle. Since the. Everywhere I have been I have introduced myself to people in my hostel room or hostel main room and have made amazing friends, some which I traveled with that day, some I traveled days with and some I met with years later and traveled again with. Meet such amazing people traveling solo!
this is great! I've done 3 solo trips to England, I'm mentally and physically preparing for my retirement in a couple of years. Then I plan to spend the rest of my life as a solo traveler!! so thank you for all this info!
I think you are right. We never got lonely. We always met people where ever we went! My advice if you want to meet more people. Don't act like you are a professional - off the beaten track - I have seen everything - to school for cool backpacker. Just be normal, talk about your experience, but don't act like you know so much better. If you do so, you will meet too many people to handle ;)
So glad I found your channel!! I just took my first solo trip this past week, and I'm already binging your videos for tips about other trips in the future! I've been itching to become a traveler for a while and would find little ways to get away after work, but at the end of July I decided to just take the plunge, quit my job, and spend at LEAST a month traveling! It's scary, but I've never been happier!
I love the video Nadine, but I disagree with the hostels. best is to be alone, it will force you to connect and communicate and make friends with the actual locals. in a hostel you will make travel friends and often stick with the group, which limits your local interactions. if you go solo, go hardcore!
I just came back from a solo travel. So true with being extra cautious about packing when traveling solo! But honestly I had the BEST time ever solo traveling! So glad I was able to vlog the entire trip!
Its very encouraging, I have never been to a trip alone its probably a great experience though you don't have to worry about anybody you can do whatever you want to do. Thanks for all the travel tips. Enjoy traveling.
Traveling Solo (Backpacking) is one of the greatest experiences of my life. You learn more about yourself, and it pushes you to meet new people. I love it!
Jordan Pike You'll also make good friends for life. I have friends in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, and Sydney. I met them all while traveling alone. Now when I ever want to visit these places again I have a place to stay. Happy travels
Aaron Garcia That's so wild man. I can't wait to do the same! I'm leaving for SE Asia in a couple weeks for 3 months. Should be wild! My buddy is coming with though. :)
Love your stuff Nadine! Solo travelled to Netherlands last 2 weeks. At first it was nerve racking but once my confidence got up I really enjoyed myself! Met so many new friends and the flexibility of going where I want to go when was awesome!
My first solo travel was last summer to Amsterdam for a few days. I just wanted to test the whole thing. It was awesome! But this year I'm going on a big trip and much farther away to NZ & South East Asia. I'm very excited :)
Love your video!! I've traveled solo once for a month in Brazil, now planning a solo trip to Philippins and Japon, and then going for a year in a working holiday visa to Australia. Worry but ready!
I'm travelling solo to Bali, Gili islands and Lombok next week, and I'm currently sitting on the floor packing my bag haha great timing with the video! :)
My first time traveling alone was also my time traveling and i make a lot of mistake. Especially when you have an anxiety you scared to go some places where there not a lot of people . Thanks for the tips.
Same, so same. I barely travelled with people because of sheduling and money. Damn the freedom you miss when suddenly you're with a group of people you don't like.
what i recommend if you aren't used to being on your own, try visiting local museams, go to the cinema on your own, if you feel comfortable then, expand yourself, visit a city near your state and book a hostel and then eventually little by little you will learn to live out of the comfort zone. planning my first solo trip to england, wish me luck!!
I'll be off on my first solo trip in a few weeks! Nervous but excited. I've really been enjoying the planning process..picking where to stay, activities to do, transport, budgeting. Its all fun & adds to the excitement & anticipation :D
@@MissPetiteRu It was great actually! Planned a bunch of activities to keep busy, and had some downtime as well to just enjoy my own company. Once I got over the self-conscious phase it was all good. Keep an eye out for scammers - this is common to all tourists - and stick to established companies, taxi services, etc where possible. I almost got duped, but walked away in time.
@@auditi14 That's awesome. I totally agree that you need to be careful when you solo travel. It's great you went with your gut. Listening to yourself will serve you well. Your own intuition will help guide you out of uncomfortable situations. Where did you travel to?
About to embark on my first solo journey to Japan and Vietnam starting in October, so thank you for making this video! I'm super excited but I won't deny, everything you highlighted are concerns of mine
Excellent video. My first solo travel was for several months around Europe, and I ran into most of these situations. I made a ton of friends and am getting geared up for another solo travel!
1) i love your lipstick, 2) i love your hair, 3) i just turned 18 and want to take a solo trip to south america or europe in the next year or so, these tips were super helpful!
I solo travelled through Guatemala and it was the best, most growing process of my life! I learned so much about myself and getting out of my comfort zone! Your tips are great ~ I would definitely recommend at least some solo traveling to everyone! :) Thanks for always putting out such great content, Nadine!
Not only my first solo trip, but also my first international trip. Well kind of solo. First half I am meeting a friend, second half I'm on my own. You're videos have helped in preparing! Thanks!
Hey hun hope you are well and having a great Friday so far. Nearly the weekend yeah. Thought we would pop over again and see what you have been up to. We love your insight and advice, really appreciate it. A huge thumbs up, stay safe and catch up again soon God bless you hun 🙏❤️👍
Can you discuss how much it's costing you with overseas phones bills and things like that? Thank you for your videos because they are very informative.
Yes, I'm planning to visit South Korea for 4 days then head to the Philippines for 3 days to meet a friend. I'm just focus on the language right now, so that I'll be able to read/speak in case i get lost.
Thanks for the great tips Nadine. I've done lots of solo travelling and really enjoy it. I find it's nice to be able to do what I want when I want to do it.
Thanks for another great video. I am about to go on a 2-month long solo backpacking trip through 6-8 European countries and I have loved your travel tips so far. You might have already covered it in a video before but do you find buying a sim card in Europe to be the best/cheapest way to have internet/calling while traveling?
Hey Nadine I live in the US and will be traveling to Ireland-Scotland-England-Netherlands-Germany-Czech Republic-Switzerland-Italy. At least that is the plan, cool people or budget constraints will have the final say.
Courtney Thomas Thanks! I have been saving up for a few years and picked up a frequent flyer mile credit card last year. So my flights there and back will total less than $200. I am using it as kind of a reset button. Quitting my job, travel for a few months then moving to a new city and seeing where that leaves me.
+Zack W I did something very similar and am excited that you're planning this trip of a lifetime. Saving for a few years and planning shows commitment and drive. Well done and I know you'll have an amazing trip. I wish you all the best and keep sharing and inspiring others to live out their dreams even though it mean setting a reset button. Its not easy but is well worth it in my opinion. -Ash
I just got back from a solo travel trip myself from Europe it was super amazing and inspirational . I would definitely recommend traveling by yourself at least once in your life it doesn't even have to be in a different country. Some place were you have to figure things out for yourself and push your comfort levels to new heights. Anyway just wanted to share a little of what I've learned. Thank you Nadine for these tips I'll definitely try to implement some of them on my next solo trip. Keep up the awesome content.
I disagree about the lodging. I can't say I have ever been lonely in a hotel room and Airbnb. I prefer my space. Also a lot of Airbnb hosts can be very welcoming and make themselves at least one part of your stay.
This advice can easily be applied if you're traveling with only one other person also. My fiance and I traveled around Europe last summer and these are exactly the kind of things we stuck to. Hostels were great and we met some great people that we still keep in touch with. I would love to see you do a video on your favorite shoes for travel.
I went to Tofino, British Columbia up here in Canada last year and saw the most amazing sunsets of my entire life! My roommate was supposed to travel there with me but ended up ditching last minute so I went anyways. All of these tips are so true. Definitely learned a lot about being free and doing whatever I wanted at any time. I'm going to Australia at the start of 2018 with a friend for a year. I want to do a whole tour of the east coast all the way down to Melbourne. Nadine you honestly seem like so much fun and I'm glad I found your channel! Hope to meet you one day!
Nadine, stuck in Canada? I know a lot of people are appreciating your travel trips, but a travel vlog would be nice. I may be wrong but I don't think you have done an in depth travel vlog on Whistler. You only need a few dollars for gas to get there to this very attractive both summer and winter resort. Just a thought.
+derekcolman hi Derek, I just did 3 travel videos, 2 in depth. Montreal was a solid one. In the fall there will be more travels and those are taking time to place and organize. but till now it's just tips and advice. I don't actually live near whistler any more, and I'm very much appreciating the time off from travel since my fall will be busy. Plus a lot of people enjoy the tips. Thanks for your feedback!
Yes, I watched them. I know your tips are well appreciated because I read the comments. it's great that you inspire more young people to travel by giving them the benefit of your experience. Sorry, I just thought you might be looking for something to do while in between trips. I live in a very popular holiday area but we locals kind of take the attractions for granted and don't bother much with them, so I just wondered if you did the same with Whistler. This was actually a very good video because lack of confidence and over confidence are important.

Yes...
Yesss!!!
Organized tour groups is great advice. They are so much fun and a great way to make awesome friends that you may be able to stay with when you continue to travel. Wonderful video.
Yes contiki, g adventures, intrepid being the ones I would recommend :)
yea except they can be very expensive
+QueenAurora'sBooks You're right they can be a bit pricey it would take a bit of saving and planning. The cheaper option as Nadine mentioned would be to meet people at your hostel and or meet people through couch surfing to do day trips or travel with. Couch surfing events and forums have been amazing for me to find great people to travel with. -Ash
The Way Away r hostels and couch surfing safe? i want to try them but I'm a little scared.
Condolences on the loss of your mother. How was the trip?
Wow I’m sorry to hear that
The first solo travel I did was to England for study abroad for six months. It. Changed. My.
Traveling alone gives you a lot of confidence when you return at home
I love young people the generation of WHY NOT. Why not travel solo and do what you want to do!
I am 60yo I am learning from young generation and travel solo, sleep in the backpackers and loving it.
Thanks Nadie.

Sure
YES! I'M READY! :-D
Omg I love your vibe
Make me your partner😉
How was your solo travelling?
I love solo travel. I always find it funny though, how other people who have never solo traveled say things like "you went by yourself" in a poor you tone of voice or when people say "omg you're so brave" These people mean well, but I think it's one of those situations where even though you've explained why you do it and the advantages, they wouldn't really understand until they've done it themselves haha.
Iran is an awesome country for solo travelers ,so try to travel to Iran
TaurusTrio I want to do a solo 1 week trip to tokyo and i'm usually better on my own but i can get overwhelmed easily but it i also like to be around people if ya get what I mean
TaurusTrio lol.. this is how people react to me when I tell them about my solo travels.. or like "OMG don't you have any friends?!" A lot of people can't seem to wrap their minds around it.
“Sometime you want to travel with other people but nobody really wants travel with you” haha so sad but it’s true! 😂

Mam i m frm ladakh .i m interested in travel but economical problem i can't travel far .
If u are welling to donate some amount for travel or offer for travelling with u .I feel happy and i will ne great kind ful to u.
TRAVEL 4 FUN where’s that?
@@nathanelman1 Any where.
I like what you're saying, but the problem is my Mama will then ask me "who are you traveling with?" and when I say no one, she'll be worried for me like checking on me every minute.
G Dumaguing Omg I love your videos,!!,
G Dumaguing OMG MEEEEEEEEEE i feel ya 🤙🏼
Like Nadine said leave information of where your staying and talk to them here and there so they can know your ok.
Lol SAME
"You poo when you want to!" hahaha love it 💙
Your video was great but you seemed to suggest in many instances NOT do things alone.
I'm traveling to Hawaii in January for 6 weeks alone. So excited!
so exciting you have to do a hotel
Lame.
That's awesome. I hope you had an amazing trip. 💛
@@MissPetiteRu I definitely did, thank you!
That's awesome. What was your favourite part of your trip? I can't wait to go back to Hawaii as well.
I'm heading to Ireland by myself in 8 weeks. so excited!
That's awesome! 💛 How was Ireland?
@@MissPetiteRu it was amazing. The views there are stunning, especially the cliffs. People are wonderful and friendly. And food is amazing. I plan to go back there again sometime soon.
@@Alverya Awe that sounds amazing! I'm so glad you had a great time. I have yet to go to Ireland, but it sounds awesome. I can't wait to be able to travel again & go back to Japan 💛😉
Being solo traveler is just an amazing experience.....
Dear Nadine, you're one of my favorite RUclipsrs ever! I absolutely love travel video's, and yours are just so amazing💗 also your tips are really handy! Keep up the good work! Love ❤️
+bylieke thank you lovely!!
It'd mean the world to me if you watch the video down below and like the NEW FB page

awww i absolutely love this video.
I started travelling solo when I was 17, but generally found myself surrounded by friends and brief travel companions. I remember when I first hitch-hiked myself I was slightly nervous on a rare occasion but listening to my intuition never led me astray. gotta have that confidence in yourself yes!
That's amazing. Yes definitely listen to your inner voice. It's so important 💛
Oh my gosh I'm watching this as I'm getting ready for my family to take me to the airport for my first solo travel trip! Off to Berlin!
+My Little Life Im traveling Europe right now as well. Were are you? Maybe we can meet up:) -Ash
Aldora LaPlume If it males you feel any better, I worry about dying in a hostel too... Damn you Eli Roth!
Ian Byrne
lmao!!!
+LE REDDIT COMMANDER I wish I got stuff for free. I can't even slide on five cents at the grocery store. Maybe I need to learn to bat my eyelashes more.
Solo travel is an opportunity to discover yourself as you discover the world; there is no need to compromise. I loved all the tips you shared, thanks!
Nice one Nayders!
vagabrothers it s funny cuz i was watching one of your vids and I ended up here in jer channel thanks for all the great videos and for showing me this channel (indirectly) love from Morocco ✌🏻
Dear Nadine- I am planning my first solo-travel trip to Southeast Asia for this January. I am so excited. I appreciate all the tips and advice that you give on your channel and I feel that I will be more prepared because it.
You’re one of the reasons I travel by myself!
Enjoy !
That's awesome! What were some of your favourite trips?
Solo traveling is one of the most interesting and unique experiences, especially because of the freedom. Fell in love with it when I spent a week in Iceland this summer.
The first time I traveled solo I met some people I became friends with in Seattle. Since the. Everywhere I have been I have introduced myself to people in my hostel room or hostel main room and have made amazing friends, some which I traveled with that day, some I traveled days with and some I met with years later and traveled again with. Meet such amazing people traveling solo!
Planning my first solo travel around Europe for December/Jan. Your channel is amazing and is helping me so much. Thank you for great content :)
Great advice. I love traveling solo and am looking to do it again soon. This is a nice refresher course on how to go solo. Thanks!
this is great!
I just took my first solo trip this past
week, and I'm already binging your videos for tips about other trips in
the future! I've been itching to become a traveler for a while and would
find little ways to get away after work, but at the end of July I
decided to just take the plunge, quit my job, and spend at LEAST a month
traveling! It's scary, but I've never been happier!
i love solo travelling because i love making my family salty by sending them photos and videos of me aboard LOL
Have you found any problems being a solo female traveler ?
Solo traveling is absolutely the BEST. been doing it for 3 years. LOVE IT !!!
Showing this to my father so he finally understands that if I travel alone I won’t die right after stepping my foot off the plane
😂😂😂
Totally. It's about being smart about travelling on your own. 😉💛👍
Its very encouraging, I have never been to a trip alone its probably a great experience though you don't have to worry about anybody you can do whatever you want to do. Thanks for all the travel tips. Enjoy traveling.
This half made me never want to travel solo, but I think the time will come and that it'll be a great experience! Thanks Nadine. :)
Traveling Solo (Backpacking) is one of the greatest experiences of my life. You learn more about yourself, and it pushes you to meet new people. I love it!
+Aaron Garcia love it Aaron
Jordan Pike You'll also make good friends for life. I have friends in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, and Sydney. I met them all while traveling alone. Now when I ever want to visit these places again I have a place to stay. Happy travels
Aaron Garcia That's so wild man. I can't wait to do the same! I'm leaving for SE Asia in a couple weeks for 3 months. Should be wild! My buddy is coming with though. :)
Jordan Pike come to Singapore :)
How was your trip to NZ?
Love your video!! I've traveled solo once for a month in Brazil, now planning a solo trip to Philippins and Japon, and then going for a year in a working holiday visa to Australia. Worry but ready!
OMG I did a working holiday in Australia too. How was it for you?
I'm travelling solo to Bali, Gili islands and Lombok next week, and I'm currently sitting on the floor packing my bag haha great timing with the video! :)
We really liked your idea about mixing in solo travel with tour groups. Its always good to switch it up!
My first time traveling alone was also my time traveling and i make a lot of mistake. Especially when you have an anxiety you scared to go some places where there not a lot of people . Thanks for the tips.
Just got back from my first solo trip - already addicted! Keep up the great work and hopefully we cross paths one day on our travels xx
I can't wait to solo travel again after the pandemic. Where do you want to go next?
Same, so same. I barely travelled with people because of sheduling and money. Damn the freedom you miss when suddenly you're with a group of people you don't like.
what i recommend if you aren't used to being on your own, try visiting local museams, go to the cinema on your own, if you feel comfortable then, expand yourself, visit a city near your state and book a hostel and then eventually little by little you will learn to live out of the comfort zone.
planning my first solo trip to england, wish me luck!!
This inspires me even more to travel. Thanks!!
I'll be off on my first solo trip in a few weeks! Nervous but excited.
I've really been enjoying the planning process..picking where to stay, activities to do, transport, budgeting. Its all fun & adds to the excitement & anticipation :D
How was your first solo travel trip?
I'm leaving for 8 months in 2 weeks for a solo travel. I can't wait:)
About to embark on my first solo journey to Japan and Vietnam starting in October, so thank you for making this video! I'm super excited but I won't deny, everything you highlighted are concerns of mine
Awesome video, Nadine! I love traveling alone
See the Rocky Mountains and wild rivers of Iran in my facebook page : facebook.com/bab.rainy1
I was in many remote places in Iran ,India and Nepal
I love solo travelling too. It's amazing! You learn so much about yourself & meet so many awesome people along the way 💛👍
Excellent video. My first solo travel was for several months around Europe, and I ran into most of these situations. I made a ton of friends and am getting geared up for another solo travel!
you should do a video on how you find hostels online!
wtf u are living in stonegae
I tried googling hostels. I can't believe it worked! I should make a video about it.
yeah, im afraid of people stealing my stuff at a hostel. I'd rather pay for a hotel room than losing my stuff. Not worth the headache
HOSTELWORLD(DOT)COM DUH
briancruze_usa you usually get lockers for your stuff, at least in Europe
1) i love your lipstick, 2) i love your hair, 3) i just turned 18 and want to take a solo trip to south america or europe in the next year or so, these tips were super helpful!
You always give really good travel advice!
I solo travelled through Guatemala and it was the best, most growing process of my life! I learned so much about myself and getting out of my comfort zone! Your tips are great ~ I would definitely recommend at least some solo traveling to everyone! :) Thanks for always putting out such great content, Nadine!
I wasn't even nervous on my first solo trip to Vietnam haha. Now I'm nervous for my solo trip to the Philippines!
Not only my first solo trip, but also my first international trip. Well kind of solo. First half I am meeting a friend, second half I'm on my own. You're videos have helped in preparing! Thanks!
I've never done it, but i almost feel like I would prefer traveling solo!
I love travelling solo! Planning and booking is easier, and I feel relaxed and free when I get there. Never have I felt lonely when travelling solo.
Yes, I'm planning to visit South Korea for 4 days then head to the Philippines for 3 days to meet a friend. I'm just focus on the language right now, so that I'll be able to read/speak in case i get lost.
Montavious Jenkins omg Montavious hiiii ❤️
Thanks for the great tips Nadine. I've done lots of solo travelling and really enjoy it. I find it's nice to be able to do what I want when I want to do it.
currently on my first solo trip :D
I'm planning a solo travel trip this summer in Europe and Japan and I'm really thankful for your videos!:)
Thanks for another great video. I am about to go on a 2-month long solo backpacking trip through 6-8 European countries and I have loved your travel tips so far.
You might have already covered it in a video before but do you find buying a sim card in Europe to be the best/cheapest way to have internet/calling while traveling?
+Zack W it depends what country you are coming from and what cell phone travel plans u have :)
jealy! lol have fun and be safe!
-Ash
Your videos are so upbeat and fast and exciting! Love them.
I travelled solo on a rocketship to mars, nobody knew.
hahaha
Me too😂
I’m solo traveling for the first time to Greece in just a few weeks so thanks so much for the video!
How was your trip? I've always wanted to go to Greece.
Hostels are probably the easiest place in the world to meet people. Worth at least staying in a few if you're solo traveling.
Also a lot of Airbnb hosts can be very welcoming and make themselves at least one part of your stay.
i agree! : )
This advice can easily be applied if you're traveling with only one other person also. My fiance and I traveled around Europe last summer and these are exactly the kind of things we stuck to. Hostels were great and we met some great people that we still keep in touch with.
I would love to see you do a video on your favorite shoes for travel.
Am jumping in the deep end next year and heading off to South America for my first solo trip- cannot wait!
South America is on my list of places. I wish I could have gone to the olympics this year and I have always dreamed of seeing the amazon rain forest.
go to colombia!!! do not miss it!
