      I am now planning to take my nclex before the new gen kicks in.

    Hi Paul! Tysm for this helpful vid! I’m from the Philippines & scheduled to take the NCLEX-RN under NYSED, too. Since I’ve considered taking the student path, I’ve had my education evaluated by WES. The result was it’s equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in California (though my plans have changed and now thinking of going to Ontario instead). Wala kasi akong nursing experience after graduating in 2019.
    Can I just ask bakit dalawa yung inapply mo, 🇨🇦 RN and RPN? Like hindi ba pwede derecho RN na yung endorsement from NYSED to 🇨🇦 if US NCLEX-RN passer ka na, or may difference ba sila?
    Also, do you think it’s also possible to apply for Express Entry kahit walang nursing experience as an RN here in PH but say for example, US NCLEX-RN passer na? Sorry, ang haba but I hope you can help me understand. Thank you and congrats on your journey! 💕

    • @PaulRN
      @PaulRN  Год назад +2

      I applied for RPN para if I ever fail NCLEX or hindi agad pumasa, at least meron akong fall back.
      You can directly apply for RN. Applying for RPN is not a pre-requisite.
      Express Entry, you need work exp. Score system ang EE. The more work exp you have, the more points you get.
      You need to work as RN muna for your safe practice. If may license ka sa Ph, work as RN dyan.

      Late reply. Ngayon ko lang na-notice questions mo.
      Let me answer.
      1. I can’t get an ATT from ON kasi Not Comparable ang NNAS ko for RN assessment. That means, I need to do bridging if gusto ko mabigyan ng ATT from CNO/Ontario.
      NCLEX-RN application in NY BON is less than 15k pesos only DIY (at least during nun time ko last year 2021)
      2. Yup. My license is valid in Ontario ONLY. I moved to Ontario and now working as RN. If gusto ko mag work as RN in Alberta, I need to apply for a license via Out Of Province RN and meet the 1,125 Canadian RN hours. 🙆🏻‍♂️

      It depends:
      1. NNAS: RN = Not Comparable, Passed NCLEX April 1, 2013 onwards = No need to complete IENCAP.
      2. NNAS: RN = Not Comparable, Passed NCLEX BEFORE April 1, 2013 = You need to take IENCAP.

Thanks for your insights.

    • @PaulRN
      @PaulRN  2 года назад +1

      Hello Glenda! I appreciate the kind words. 😄 You can collect muna yung mga required documents before registering with NNAS. I suggest you download the NNAS handbook here:
      www.nnas.ca/applicant-handbook/
      Or, pwede ka rin naman mag register na with NNAS while collecting the requirements. However, you need to understand na 1 year lang ang validity ng NNAS at dapat ma-submit mo lahat ng requirements bago mag expire.
      When I had my NNAS, my AR or Advisory Report wad issued after 16 weeks. Ang “standard” time frame ng NNAS ay 12 weeks pero parang hindi nila nasusunod yun at lagi medyo delay ang pag issue nila ng AR.
      AR: ito yung magsasabi kung Comparable/Somewhat Comparable/Not Comparable yung education mo against sa Canadian nursing education standards.

      @@FrustratedYTVlogger hey! I am not sure kung ano entry mo dito sa Canada.
      If Express Entry ang plan mo, wala ka choice but to take IELTS - General.
      Kapag may a-apply ka na ng license mo dito sa Canada, you need to take IELTS - Academic or CELBAN. If Ontario ka mag apply no need for IELTS, you send proof of language prof instead. I created a video you can check it.
      If mag student ka, pwede ka makapunta dito without IELTS kasi may mga school na nag a-accept kahit wala IELTS. But then again, you need IELTS if mag apply ka na ng RN license mo and you need IELTS if mag apply ka na ng PR (Permanent Residency) mo.

    • @PaulRN
      @PaulRN  2 года назад

      Hello. Start with NNAS. That’s the first thing you need to do para ma determine kung comparable or not comparable yung nursing education mo sa Ph sa nursing education sa Canada.
      Kapag ang result ng NNAS mo ay comparable, no need for you to do bridging. Pero kung not comparable ang result ng NNAS mo then mag bi-bridging ka.
      Kung NCLEX-RN passer ka naman, kahit hindi comparable ang nursing education mo, no need to study/brdiging pero sa College of Nurses of Ontario lang ito applicable.
      You can take NCLEX-RN sa board of nursing ng New York kahit di ka PhRN. Marami DIY video here sa youtube on how to do it.
