It's a hard job, the pay is not worth it! You really have to love it or else it'll wear you out. I admire all the nurses out there.
Thank you for your comment ☺️🙏
I’ll take 120/yr anytime. It’s worth the hard work, not all work at all, some days are easy money.
Salee.. just happened to watch your blog.. I am RN here in Maryland USA since 2005 at lahat ng sinabi mo at experiences almost the same lang tayo. Just got back home from Pinas for 5 weeks paid Annual leave. Luckily me and my wife both works in Federal Government so mas marami kaming AL benefit to bank. Kung kulang naman we can apply for advance leave . As much as possible ayoko ng mag bank pag nag OT kasi hindi sya double pay ewan ko lang dyan sa Canada. Your blog is honest and educational and clear. I will forward to my pamangkin scheduled to come here in the US for Nursing jobs din
Wow! Very nice to hear that Christopher. 🙏🤗 May pagkapareho pala ang nursing dyan sa US at Canada. One thing lang is I don't think we have advance leave, kasi I never applied for one before. ☺️ I hope you had a wonderful time in the Philippines. ☺️ Take care and regards to your wife and good luck to your pamangkin. 🙏
My support to your channel. Good to know. Saludo sa inyong mga nurses.
Nurse din wife ko, praying for you all.

Agreed with you sa struggles. Yung public transpo talaga especially here in Ottawa haha
Well explained. Thank you so much again for another insights, and for sharing your experiences and knowledges as well. 😊

Hello! I had the same experience na pinagagalitan yung nanganganak while i was still studying and we were on duty sa isang small hospital in San Pedro Laguna. Tho it wasnt a nurse, it was a midwife. I remember feeling bad for the patient kasi alam mong in pain tapos ganun pa yung sasabihin. Pinagalitan at pinahiya in front of other people. The patient was also a minor that time.
Yes exactly what I experienced. Thanks for sharing 🙏☺️
Mayroon ding DDNN Shift with 4 to 5days off. At least dito sa Toronto Unionized kami .So every year or two may regular increase sa pay grid. By the way I’m a Retired NICU nurse of 35 yrs. In Toronto.
thanks for sharing your experience as well🙏☺️
Hi Ms. Salee,, very inspiring ang mga kwento mo..

Thank You So Very Much Salee for this very Honest & Informative vlog. My Mom is a retired nurse here in the USA & we (along with my 4 siblings) emigrated to America in 1983 for a brighter future. She worked as an Industrial Plant Nurse in the Philippines. So from what you divulged, the Healthcare Professionals in Canada seemed to be MORE caring & patient compared to the more "jaded, grumpy & extremely RUDE" American nurses here coming from various ethnicities, cultures & economic backgrounds. Nevertheless, the benefits & salaries are comparable to the USA; i.e, my best friend holds a Masters Degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner, NP) & he makes over $150K U.S. Dollars. I live in South Florida & Nurses' salaries here are much lower compared to other parts of the USA. Keep up the Great Work & Compassion towards All your patients & may God Bless you & protect you always from harm's way...Amen.
Thank you for watching and your comment. Appreciate much 👍🥰🙏
Yes, mas malaki sahod sa ibang bansa, but the Philippines is a good training ground though for nurses & other healthcare or medical workers. The result is that Filipino nurses are well thought of pagdating sa ibang bansa.
Yes 👍 😃You are sooo correct! 💯 Kumbaga sa skills, walang tatalo sa pinoy nurses.. kaya kahit ano at kahit saan.. kayang kaya! 😃💪👌
Let others find out about you, don't go broadcasting it on social media.
How about the taxes maam?
good training ground nga pero inaabuso naman ng gobyerno dyan sa Pinas, i've experienced being a volunteer registered nurse in a gov't hospital before & I handled 1 unit with at least 30 patients at wala akong sahod o kahit libreng lunch man lang o kahit transportation allowance, inaabuso ng gobyerno ang mga nurses sa atin hanggang ngayon, yan ang totoong nagaganap
Thanks 👍 madam nice info.
Thank you for sharing 🙏☺️
thanks for all the info
you're welcome and thanks for watching 🙏
Not all hospital offers ot pay x2. In Toronto, unless you work overtime on stat days, then that is double pay. Ordinarily, ot pay is not time and a half or 1.5
Thanks for sharing
Same lang nurse in canada compare nurse n phil peso lang sa canada naman dollars pag masyado kang magastos ubos din sahod mo buti pa sa pinas di malamig
Malamig nga sa canada! 🥶
Wheee😄
Cheers🎉
no worries.. tamang tama renal ward ako unang naassign.. isa sya sa pinakabusyng unit sa buong hospital. ang nurse to patient ratio ay 6 normally pero pag night shift at kulang ang staff, nasa 12 patients or buong wing ang hawak mo, that was way back 15 years ago kaya siguro iba na ngayon. mostly mga patients ay for dialysis, so you have to prepare them and assist them for their dialysis. ung mga ibang nurses or mostly of my colleagues lumilipat sa hemodialysis unit since it's less busier than the ward. hope that helps.. 😊👌

sure salary as an OFW is far greater than the Philippines if you convert in Peso. 32K is not bad compare to your monthly salary of 6,500 bec you are spending dollars there and no conversion at all. salary in Phil is very little bec it is always compared abroad. But honestly how much should be the considerate salary of nurses in Phil? will you tell me Nurses?
They compare dollar to peso...without thinking it's almost the same when they spend it.
Very true!!
thank you for watching 😊🙏
PH nurses in a Cruiseship (atleast the company I am working) have a salary of 5200usd tax free plus hospital income commission. not to brag just giving info to those interested nurses who wants to work and travel for free at the same time. other companies are paying even higher. but ofcourse, you have to know the pros and cons, dyor.
Re: allergies, you forgot to mention that your clothing detergent and your toiletries (soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc) should also be unscented. Needless to say unscented means, no body odor as well.
No scents makes sense. 😊
Hello ate salee ❤❤❤
Thank you sa info po very informative.
Can you give us an idea about differences in working in acute care vs. Long term care facility dyan sa Saskatchewan?
If no experience ka po sa long term, possible kaya na ask some friends na nasa long term care facility😊😊😊
Thank you ate Salee 😊😊😊
👋 hello ulit... Of course sure I can ask my colleagues and friends about long term care facility since wala akong experience. Will do a video for you once I got more info. 👍🤗❤️
Appreciate it kasi I'm doing a paper on Filipina nurses.
Thank you! Glad it helped 🙏☺️🥰
Nagtratrabaho din ako sa Hospital dto sa Germany as a maintenance,at nag eenjoy din ako sawork ko
good for you kabayan! 😊🙏
I stayed 1 big room alone in the ICU University Hospital for 25 days kasi nagka Brain Hemorrhage ako due from Raptured anuerysm nitong April i undergo two operations kaya im in a closed monitoring by Nurses, Dr and my Nuerosurgeon kasi they are anticipating baka magkaroon ako ng complications (Vasospasm and hydrocephalus) after. Patient reported two filipina nurses dahil talaga namang they cannot used their inner voice nakakahiya kahit patient ako i said sorry sa ibang patient .
Thanks for sharing. Glad you're okay na 🙏🙂 take care

Even the healthcare binabawas na din. Kaya sya sinasabing libre kasi hindi ka na magbabayad once you go see the dentist or doctor (kasi you already paid for it) I mentioned it throughly in my other video - MASARAP BANG MAMUHAY SA CANADA ☺️
Oo nga po

Yay! Thank you 🥰🙏 I currently working on my story telling skills.. ☺️
Kita niyo? No work, no pay nga lang kasi contractual.
mahirap icompare sa australia, maraming klaseng leave sa canada isama mo pa ang maternity leave na 1 year paid, sickleave with pay kahit walang medical certifi, ang maitindi may one day stat off ka paid every 4 weeks.
@@franmun7813 $55 dito ang maraming benefits. Kaso pera mo rin yon. Sa Canada masyadong mababa compared dito sa Australia. Maayos pa weather.

As a newcomer either for part or full time work do we need to bring our own scrub suit from Philippines or the hospital will provide it?
From where I worked, OR lang nag poprovide ng scrub suit. What I did was I have mine customized..nagpatahi ako ng saktong fit. Nagustuhan ng mga coworker kong mga Canadians… 😅☺️
Chasing the dreams and running against time.
Thanks for sharing 🙏☺️
Hindi lahat. but it’s a big part of many reasons. Kasama pa din po ung safety and security, better future sa mga anak, better health care system and education opportunities, to make use of our individual talent and skills na hindi maexpress at macontribute due to lack of opportunities and resources, para din makatulong sa mga family members for remittances, ultimately contributing sa Philippine economy and lots more. So to think na ang lahat dahilan para mg abroad is sa sahod is a bitter, cheap, selfish , insensitive assertion.
Agree
Hello. I am about to take my last year of nursing school (4th year) here in the Philippines. I would like to ask if the 2-year work experience is a must or if there are hospitals that accept newly graduated nurses.
It is a must nung nag apply ako sa agency. It depends kasi sa employer mo kung need nila ng experience or hindi. But for me, it is a requirement.
That true maam....here n d philipinesmy nurse or doktor...not compationate... but not all...not good...

Hello mam.
Doon ka na sa $75 to $82 per hour na no work, no pay.
d best ate...

Buti ka pa, masipag mag trabaho. My life time dream is to do nothing, parang si Juan Tamad. Last year natupad ko ang life time dream ko na to do nothing, I retired at 62yrs. Everytime I get on my BMW convertible to go to work, my music is ACDC Highway to Hell, going home is Motley Crew Home Sweet Home! Actually I enjoyed my work, my workmates and my patients. I can't complain making 12k US/month with 2-3 Med-Surg patients. The good Lord has blessed me and my old Nursing class 1980 of Baguo Gen Hosp School of Nursing, I think halos lahat kami ay naka pag abroad. I have reached the American dream, now back to my Philippine dream, maging si Juan Tamad!
Nice 🙂 thanks for sharing! 🙏👍🤗
ACDC music is 🔥👌
Oh 12k us dollars/month you're a millionaire now in Philippines. I'm envy paid 12k pesos/ month I'm still Juan Tamad.
Sarcasm is here!!! i want to be a juan tamad like you in 5 more years!!! Living and working in Edmonton as a Red Seal Welder, great salary, hard job but it's worth it!!! I can't find 75/hr rates in PH so i must be a lucky guy. Looking forward to be a Juan Tamad very soon!
you need at least 10K a month in income to live in Canada... 7k is short.. you need a second job,.,
Comparing pinas nursing vs canada is like comparing apples to oranges. You should compare usa vs canada I have worked in both I would say talo ang canada in all aspects except break
This video comparison is a request from my viewer.. my OWN experiences between working in Canada vs Philippines. Thanks for the comment. 👍☺️
