Hello Salee! Your video comparing the salary and life of a nurse in Canada versus the Philippines is undoubtedly an eye-opener for many Pinoy nurses considering opportunities abroad. The insight you provide into the differences between the two countries will be incredibly valuable for those weighing their options for career advancement and a better quality of life. With a significant number of views in just nine days, it's evident that your content strikes a chord with the audience.

Salee.. just happened to watch your blog.. I am RN here in Maryland USA since 2005 at lahat ng sinabi mo at experiences almost the same lang tayo. Just got back home from Pinas for 5 weeks paid Annual leave. Luckily me and my wife both works in Federal Government so mas marami kaming AL benefit to bank. Kung kulang naman we can apply for advance leave . As much as possible ayoko ng mag bank pag nag OT kasi hindi sya double pay ewan ko lang dyan sa Canada. Your blog is honest and educational and clear. I will forward to my pamangkin scheduled to come here in the US for Nursing jobs din

Wow! Very nice to hear that Christopher. 🙏🤗 May pagkapareho pala ang nursing dyan sa US at Canada. One thing lang is I don't think we have advance leave, kasi I never applied for one before. ☺️ I hope you had a wonderful time in the Philippines. ☺️ Take care and regards to your wife and good luck to your pamangkin. 🙏

Hello! I had the same experience na pinagagalitan yung nanganganak while i was still studying and we were on duty sa isang small hospital in San Pedro Laguna. Tho it wasnt a nurse, it was a midwife. I remember feeling bad for the patient kasi alam mong in pain tapos ganun pa yung sasabihin. Pinagalitan at pinahiya in front of other people. The patient was also a minor that time.

Mayroon ding DDNN Shift with 4 to 5days off. At least dito sa Toronto Unionized kami .So every year or two may regular increase sa pay grid. By the way I’m a Retired NICU nurse of 35 yrs. In Toronto.

Thank You So Very Much Salee for this very Honest & Informative vlog. My Mom is a retired nurse here in the USA & we (along with my 4 siblings) emigrated to America in 1983 for a brighter future. She worked as an Industrial Plant Nurse in the Philippines. So from what you divulged, the Healthcare Professionals in Canada seemed to be MORE caring & patient compared to the more "jaded, grumpy & extremely RUDE" American nurses here coming from various ethnicities, cultures & economic backgrounds. Nevertheless, the benefits & salaries are comparable to the USA; i.e, my best friend holds a Masters Degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner, NP) & he makes over $150K U.S. Dollars. I live in South Florida & Nurses' salaries here are much lower compared to other parts of the USA. Keep up the Great Work & Compassion towards All your patients & may God Bless you & protect you always from harm's way...Amen.

Yes, mas malaki sahod sa ibang bansa, but the Philippines is a good training ground though for nurses & other healthcare or medical workers. The result is that Filipino nurses are well thought of pagdating sa ibang bansa.

no worries.. tamang tama renal ward ako unang naassign.. isa sya sa pinakabusyng unit sa buong hospital. ang nurse to patient ratio ay 6 normally pero pag night shift at kulang ang staff, nasa 12 patients or buong wing ang hawak mo, that was way back 15 years ago kaya siguro iba na ngayon. mostly mga patients ay for dialysis, so you have to prepare them and assist them for their dialysis. ung mga ibang nurses or mostly of my colleagues lumilipat sa hemodialysis unit since it's less busier than the ward. hope that helps.. 😊👌

Yes..binabawas talaga sa sweldo. Even the healthcare binabawas na din. Kaya sya sinasabing libre kasi hindi ka na magbabayad once you go see the dentist or doctor (kasi you already paid for it) I mentioned it throughly in my other video - MASARAP BANG MAMUHAY SA CANADA ☺️

Hindi lahat. but it’s a big part of many reasons. Kasama pa din po ung safety and security, better future sa mga anak, better health care system and education opportunities, to make use of our individual talent and skills na hindi maexpress at macontribute due to lack of opportunities and resources, para din makatulong sa mga family members for remittances, ultimately contributing sa Philippine economy and lots more. So to think na ang lahat dahilan para mg abroad is sa sahod is a bitter, cheap, selfish , insensitive assertion.

Buti ka pa, masipag mag trabaho. My life time dream is to do nothing, parang si Juan Tamad. Last year natupad ko ang life time dream ko na to do nothing, I retired at 62yrs. Everytime I get on my BMW convertible to go to work, my music is ACDC Highway to Hell, going home is Motley Crew Home Sweet Home! Actually I enjoyed my work, my workmates and my patients. I can't complain making 12k US/month with 2-3 Med-Surg patients. The good Lord has blessed me and my old Nursing class 1980 of Baguo Gen Hosp School of Nursing, I think halos lahat kami ay naka pag abroad. I have reached the American dream, now back to my Philippine dream, maging si Juan Tamad!
