If you did not practice then you have to skip that part. Pero meron ka ba current work experience as RN? You need safe practice when you apply to your regulatory body.

Hi adv! Thank you for the kind words! ☺️ Since naka apply na kayo as PR (I think, hopefully makakapunta kayo ng Canada soon) all you need to do is to wait for the approval na lang. My take, proceed with NNAS na ASAP. Then ito possible options mo: Pursue RN in NFL: NNAS Comparable/Somewhat = No need to study/bridging. NNAS Not Comparable = Need to study/bridging kahit NCLEX passer ka na. Pursue RN in Ontario (like me) then transfer na lang your license to NFL pag eligible na: NNAS Comparable/Somewhat = No need to study/bridging. NNAS Not Comparable = No need to study/bridging kasi NCLEX passer ka na. Pero dapat NCLEX mo was taken not earlier than April 2013. If ang NCLEX mo was taken earlier than April 2013 = need study/bridging.

@@vecta1986 that’s okay. Yung “expire” sa NNAS ay kapag di mo na send or na complete yung requirements in 1 year, yun lang yun. Kapag lumabas na AR (Advisory Report), pwede mo na agad i-apply sa CNO kahit nasa pinas ka pa. Then pwede mo na ma complete lahat ng mga requirements sa CNO except for “Authorization to wrork”. Pero once na approve na PR mo, upload mo lang yung COPR or PR card mo, ma “Met” mo na rin yun.

@@vecta1986 yup feasible lahat ng napag usapan natin as long as ma approve PR application niyo. Kaya I hope ma-approve na yung application niyong family. La ako idea now kung gaano katagal ang PR approval. You may expect some delays due to the pandemic but in my case na-approve PR application ko 4 months after receiving an ITA.

Apply kapag may sure visa na like a month or two bago pumunta ng Canada. You need to complete your masters, kung units lang don’t add it as it will not count.
Hey Aivi! I sent my personal reference letter about my previous work experience as an Occupational Health Nurse. Then nag send din yung HR namim ng reference letter about my proficiency in using the English language. In shorts, 2 letters were sent. One from me one from my employer.

My employer died last January lang 2022 my last work exp. was Dec 2021 and I stayed at the company from sept 2018-Dec 2021. You stated na may form na kailangang isubmit si employer sa Canada. Permanent Resident ako in Canada when I applied. Ano ba status mo in Canada? Kasi kung ang isang applicant ay hindi authorized to work in Canada then walang point mag apply sa NNAS.

Hi po! I also graduated in OLFU- Valenzuela campus and just started my NNAS application lastweek. I'm from Hamilton ON. I click the defer button under the English proficiency, sa dashboard ko po, Then under the status nakalagay po ay "waived ". Does it mean po ba NNAS will just wait for me to submit my supporting docs/papers if NNAS will waived my English proficiency? I'm currently working as a PSW. My last bedside experience in a RHU & govt hospital was 2012 pa po. Thank you

@@PaulRN Ganon nga po ang gagawin ko, uwi ng Pinas to update my safe practice :) I also applied for NCLEX RN via CGFNS and I have 2 schools kc I was a transferee to OLFU, tanong ko lang po. Under my dashboard sa cgfns, may academic forms na need din fill upan from my 1st school , Naka 2 yrs lang po ako sa 1st school ko and all minor subjects. Hindi rin po mafifil upan ng 1st school ko Yung mga theory & clinical hours na nasa forms. Pano po kaya yun? Alam ko po kc dapat kung saan school kalang naggraduate is enough, kc sa TOR mo makikita narin dun ang mga subjects, grades and credits from your pervious school. Hey Sara! Your school should send your course syllabus and course description to NNAS together with the NNAS education form. Paper docs yan. In my case, nasa 70-80 pages pinadala ng school ko. Not sure if NNAS accepts PDF file? Try contacting them if ever. CCA = no bearing for LPN/RN application. But you can use your experience if gusto mo ipa-waive language proficiency requirement mo should you apply at CNO. Other provinces require IELTS/CELBAN.

Declare all your licenses. If mahihirapan ka, you can opt not to declare na lang. Kasi ang focus lang naman ng NNAS ay yung Educ credentials mo. Pero kung ang safe practice mo ay connected sa expired license mo, then wala ka choice but to declare. Unless may updated safe practice ka sa Pinas then pwede kahit di mo na declare.

Hey! Unfortunately you can’t apply to CNO without your NNAS Advisory Report. NNAS is a MUST. Do you have NCLEX? If you have, great. If you do not have, start working on it asap.

Hi Krizza! Ith should be: Year 1 = 2022 Year 2 = 2021 Year 3 = 2020 and so on til Year 5 Note: make sure na same kayo ng employer mo ng amount of time na ide-declare. So makipag communicate ka sa kanila para exact ang numbers. Since meron ka dalawang employer in 2019. Ganito: Employer A = lagay mo hours in 2019 tas Year 4 yan. Employer B = lagay mo hours in 2019 tas Year 4 din. Since magkaibang employer, magkaibang form for each.

My school included everything from minor to major subjects. (: Course syllabus and Course Description. Nasa 60-80 pages yung document na pinasa ko sa NNAS.

@@roanpapa5310 2011 grad ako not compa RN but somewhat compa ang LPN ko. Mas madali sa Ontario kunuha ng license. Stay in NS > apply sa ON > may RN license ka na > move to ON and practice for 1125 hours > transfer your license in NS > go back to NS. Just my 2 cents.

Hi Raquel! No. You don’t really need to wait. Mas better kung update mo na agad safe practice mo (if kaya) prior to applying para di ka ma delay. Since expired na license mo. Update mo na rin kasi need mo yun para makapag practice as well as need mo yun sa NNAS for license verification.

Process your NNAS prior to coming to Canada. If you think magiging Not Comparable NNAS result mo, mag take ka na ng NCLEX in any US board of nursing (I did New York)

Work as RN while waiting for your student visa. You need safe practice (means, you recently worked as RN) when applying for Canadian RN license. You can also take NCLEX in Advance (:

Hey! NNAS is done online. Declare your NCLEX during NNAS app. You need safe practice once you apply to your Regulatory Body. Any RN exp will suffice. It is not limited to hospital work exp only.

Work exp from the last 5 years lang ang ina-assess ng NNAS. I think yun lang ang need pag mag apply ng out of province RN if may RN license ka sa ibang province ng Canada. (1125 Canadian RN hours rin lang ang need ko to transfer my ON RN license to AB. I waa originally from AB).

Hey dodo! You may still complete an application even if you do not have an RN work experience for the past 5 years. You may skip the employment verification. However, the Canadian regulatory board (i.e. CNO, CARNA) will require you so. Options for you are: 1. Enroll to a college/university that offers clinical placement to update your safe practice 2. Update your safe practice by working as an RN in the jurisdiction where you have an RN license.

Called NNAS office to verify if Ink Signed Signature on Page 1 of all forms is required or E-Signature would suffice. NNAS confirmed that E-Signature would suffice. This is for your information please.

If you did not practice then you have to skip that part. Pero meron ka ba current work experience as RN? You need safe practice when you apply to your regulatory body.

Since naka apply na kayo as PR (I think, hopefully makakapunta kayo ng Canada soon) all you need to do is to wait for the approval na lang.
My take, proceed with NNAS na ASAP.
Then ito possible options mo:
Pursue RN in NFL:
NNAS Comparable/Somewhat = No need to study/bridging.
NNAS Not Comparable = Need to study/bridging kahit NCLEX passer ka na.
Pursue RN in Ontario (like me) then transfer na lang your license to NFL pag eligible na:
NNAS Comparable/Somewhat = No need to study/bridging.
NNAS Not Comparable = No need to study/bridging kasi NCLEX passer ka na. Pero dapat NCLEX mo was taken not earlier than April 2013.
If ang NCLEX mo was taken earlier than April 2013 = need study/bridging.

@@vecta1986 that’s okay. Yung “expire” sa NNAS ay kapag di mo na send or na complete yung requirements in 1 year, yun lang yun. Kapag lumabas na AR (Advisory Report), pwede mo na agad i-apply sa CNO kahit nasa pinas ka pa. Then pwede mo na ma complete lahat ng mga requirements sa CNO except for “Authorization to wrork”. Pero once na approve na PR mo, upload mo lang yung COPR or PR card mo, ma “Met” mo na rin yun.

La ako idea now kung gaano katagal ang PR approval. You may expect some delays due to the pandemic but in my case na-approve PR application ko 4 months after receiving an ITA.

Hi Paul! With ongoing Express Entry application kami, wise na ba to apply for NNAS as early as now? Or need to wait pa ma draw? And what if with ongoing Masters ako need pa ba un I add? Or add lang kapag natapos na?
Apply kapag may sure visa na like a month or two bago pumunta ng Canada. You need to complete your masters, kung units lang don’t add it as it will not count.

Hey Aivi! I sent my personal reference letter about my previous work experience as an Occupational Health Nurse. Then nag send din yung HR namim ng reference letter about my proficiency in using the English language.
In shorts, 2 letters were sent. One from me one from my employer.

My employer died last January lang 2022 my last work exp. was Dec 2021 and I stayed at the company from sept 2018-Dec 2021. You stated na may form na kailangang isubmit si employer sa Canada. Permanent Resident ako in Canada when I applied. Ano ba status mo in Canada? Kasi kung ang isang applicant ay hindi authorized to work in Canada then walang point mag apply sa NNAS.

Hi po! I also graduated in OLFU- Valenzuela campus and just started my NNAS application lastweek. I'm from Hamilton ON. I click the defer button under the English proficiency, sa dashboard ko po, Then under the status nakalagay po ay "waived ". Does it mean po ba NNAS will just wait for me to submit my supporting docs/papers if NNAS will waived my English proficiency? I'm currently working as a PSW. My last bedside experience in a RHU & govt hospital was 2012 pa po. Thank you

@@PaulRN Ganon nga po ang gagawin ko, uwi ng Pinas to update my safe practice :) I also applied for NCLEX RN via CGFNS and I have 2 schools kc I was a transferee to OLFU, tanong ko lang po. Under my dashboard sa cgfns, may academic forms na need din fill upan from my 1st school , Naka 2 yrs lang po ako sa 1st school ko and all minor subjects. Hindi rin po mafifil upan ng 1st school ko Yung mga theory & clinical hours na nasa forms. Pano po kaya yun? Alam ko po kc dapat kung saan school kalang naggraduate is enough, kc sa TOR mo makikita narin dun ang mga subjects, grades and credits from your pervious school. I've been trying to call and emailing CGFNS almost everyday, pero puro voice-mail lang po sila. Thank you po. Sorry for the long message

Your school should send your course syllabus and course description to NNAS together with the NNAS education form. Paper docs yan. In my case, nasa 70-80 pages pinadala ng school ko. Not sure if NNAS accepts PDF file? Try contacting them if ever.
CCA = no bearing for LPN/RN application. But you can use your experience if gusto mo ipa-waive language proficiency requirement mo should you apply at CNO. Other provinces require IELTS/CELBAN.

Declare all your licenses. If mahihirapan ka, you can opt not to declare na lang. Kasi ang focus lang naman ng NNAS ay yung Educ credentials mo.
Pero kung ang safe practice mo ay connected sa expired license mo, then wala ka choice but to declare. Unless may updated safe practice ka sa Pinas then pwede kahit di mo na declare.

Hey! Unfortunately you can’t apply to CNO without your NNAS Advisory Report. NNAS is a MUST.

Ask your HR/supervisor for the actual number of hours. Dapat exact yung numbers mo sa numbers nila.
Hello sir, I made one mistake I add one expired document my Delhi registration as I am having my parental registration in UP I started my application with Navkiran Nursing and she did this blunder with my application now she is not doing anything she is ignoring me and I paid $350 for this. Please let me know what to do how I can delete this document from my application actually this delaying my advisory report and I can’t do anything now bcz my Delhi registration already expired

Ith should be:
Year 1 = 2022
Year 2 = 2021
Year 3 = 2020 and so on til Year 5
Note: make sure na same kayo ng employer mo ng amount of time na ide-declare. So makipag communicate ka sa kanila para exact ang numbers.
Since meron ka dalawang employer in 2019. Ganito:
Employer A = lagay mo hours in 2019 tas Year 4 yan.
Employer B = lagay mo hours in 2019 tas Year 4 din.
Since magkaibang employer, magkaibang form for each.

My school included everything from minor to major subjects. (: Course syllabus and Course Description. Nasa 60-80 pages yung document na pinasa ko sa NNAS.

@@roanpapa5310 2011 grad ako not compa RN but somewhat compa ang LPN ko. Mas madali sa Ontario kunuha ng license. Stay in NS > apply sa ON > may RN license ka na > move to ON and practice for 1125 hours > transfer your license in NS > go back to NS. Just my 2 cents.

Hi Raquel! No. You don’t really need to wait. Mas better kung update mo na agad safe practice mo (if kaya) prior to applying para di ka ma delay. Since expired na license mo. Update mo na rin kasi need mo yun para makapag practice as well as need mo yun sa NNAS for license verification.
Sir Paul ano po ba talaga mga requirements that we need to complete prior po ako pumunta dyan? Kasi my friend told me ang hirap if dumating na sa Canada eh madami parin pala need na requirements sa Pinas. And for my case no one will do that for me just incase may ganung scenario.
Process your NNAS prior to coming to Canada. If you think magiging Not Comparable NNAS result mo, mag take ka na ng NCLEX in any US board of nursing (I did New York)

Work as RN while waiting for your student visa. You need safe practice (means, you recently worked as RN) when applying for Canadian RN license.
You can also take NCLEX in Advance (:

NNAS is done online. Declare your NCLEX during NNAS app. You need safe practice once you apply to your Regulatory Body.
Any RN exp will suffice. It is not limited to hospital work exp only.

Hi jonith! If you are sure na magkaka visa ka or meron ka na valid visa to Canada, by all means, proceed with NNAS asap. Pwede mo na start kahit nasa Japan ka pa.
Work exp from the last 5 years lang ang ina-assess ng NNAS.
Ang main focus ng NNAS ay i-compare ang Nursing education mo from Pinas (or kung saan country man nag take ng nursing) VS Nursing education in Canada.

Hey dodo! You may still complete an application even if you do not have an RN work experience for the past 5 years. You may skip the employment verification. However, the Canadian regulatory board (i.e. CNO, CARNA) will require you so. Options for you are:
1. Enroll to a college/university that offers clinical placement to update your safe practice
2. Update your safe practice by working as an RN in the jurisdiction where you have an RN license.
