That was awesome that’s the kind of stuff that I like this is all new to me and with the short shows you break it down a lot more and I’m starting to understand it more so keep it up love them you rock
It was my pleasure and thank you for all you do for the sport and I love your shows Hunter said when is this all over he might go out with me and teach me a little bit on this deep bite hopefully before the tournament start
The best info from the best guy. Also living in the same area as you, I can really connect and get a feel for the places you fish. It’d be a dream to fish with you and learn from your greatness.
Mark I’m just starting to learn the FG knot coming over from the Albright knot,my question is can you reel the FG knot into the reel un like the Albright knot ?
I definitely enjoyed the extra “dirt” in this video. What knot do you use for connecting to the braid? Keep up the great work and I sent a note to your governor today 😉.
Hey Mark, I really appreciate this video, awesome cathces man! Keep up the great work! When you are "scooting" a finesse swimbait along the bottom can you feel the paddletail kick and move? Or would that mean you are dragging the swimbait too fast? Also, do you think this "scooting" tactic would be productive in shallower water with slightly lighter jigheads when the water heats up?
No I don't feel the tail thumping but yes it works in shallow water- in fact we just taped a show last week in 3-5 feet of water catching giants scooting it.
So when you were fishing on that break with Davey, it looked like you were sitting in 30- were you throwing up on the 8 and bringing it back to 30 or were you throwing into 30 and parallelling the break? Or something in between?
I was throwing to about 10ft of water and bringing it down to about 30. Good question because later that day I got up on top of the break and threw deep which got some really good bites showing them a different angle.
I've watched several of your videos (especially smallmouth) and noticed the wild tip before the set....can ya explain the crazy rod action before you finally set the hook......its not just a straight hook set????
The rod I use has a very soft tip. I will let the rod load before I set the hook on them. A lot of times they will pop at it before they completely commit. If you set the hook too early you will pull it away from them.
Love this video!
Thanks for the entertainment and info Z. With no motor boating and extreme wind here in Michigan today this is the next best thing!!
EXACTLY! Thanks for watching.
Awesome Z-Train will add that to my swimbait arsenal

I like your Minnir zona
Has strike king made the kvd rage swim bait modified the way you did I think they should
Sweet jesus the mortal kombat had me lol
“Scorpion Wins!”
Awesome info! Question. Would you throw that in an inland Michigan lake that has alot of grass, for largies? Or something more weedless?
I would throw something more weedless if it is very thick grass like a swim jig with a swimbait trailer.
How do you choose between a spinning reel or a bait caster
I want a lot of power when I'm fishing a bladed jib both in the rod and a reel. I feel that a baitcaster rod and reel gives me more power.
ya bud !!!
Thk bro ur friend geo from stclair
Killer dirt from an awesome dude! When do we find out I won the fishing with zona seagar smack down. 👊🏻
Mark I’m just starting to learn the FG knot coming over from the Albright knot,my question is can you reel the FG knot into the reel un like the Albright knot ?

If I could smallmouth fish with anyone it would be zona. #upstateNy
Rod power?
I use a 7 fr 3inch drop shot rod but it's an all around medium action rod and very versatile.
Dude. You are only about 7 years late on this. We have been slaying smallmouth in Tn for a looonnng time like this.
Why does the name Darva Conger sound familiar?
I wonder if it will work for BIG SPOTTED BASS.....HMMMM🤔🤔🤔
Lol my ass off. Mortal Combat
