I wanted to add that hypothyroidism can also contribute to high cholesterol. Until I got my thyroid treated, my cholesterol was 230 (!!!) and I was a 35 year old normal weight female. A plant based diet took me down to 200 but thyroid treatment took me down into the 150s.
But how do you deal with particle size? I dropped my LDL below 80 and my doctor tested the particle size and it was too small. It's like an impossible game to win.
I'm allowing the Blue Zones investigations to influence my diet, as those folk are both healthy & long-living. Today's lunch is a mix from Okinawa & the Nicoya Peninsula; 90% pork chipolatas, baby new potatoes, scrambled eggs & a delicious, vine tomato.
But, if I have understood well, as english is not my mother tongue, he said olive oil is ok, right? That's what he thinks, right? There is others opinions there advocating for no oil at all...

@soilikasanen there is no link between LDL cholesterol specificly to any disease in humans. There is only one type of cholesterol. It's simply just cholesterol. Diabetes and high insulin is the cause of metabolic syndrome simple facts. Inflammation is the cause of most modern diseases that people get from eating fake foods.

He had virtually perfect health for 96 years until he got a cold which turned into a Pneumonia yet was still doing his exercise routine while being ill. For some unknown reason he did not want to go to a doctor or hospital for help.

It has a stomach pH of 7 where a human is 1.5 like a scavenger. It has tooth decay and plaque by age 30 from too much raw plant food. Is this the life that you want to emulate?

Have you tried adding Amla powder to your diet? Amla acts like a statin without the side effects.
