The Booster Box game needs a special animated intro like Tolarian Winds.
Yeah, like a Box opening to show another box inside, with a box inside that one, etc. Like Russian nesting dolls, or, as the youngsters would understand, Inception.

They probably forgot to mute the sound of the clip they showed around that time and it kept playing for a little bit even though it was't in the foreground.

I was up until 2am finishing. If I take the video down to correct it, I'll then need to go back to the office, fix the error, re-render the video, re-upload, and wait for it to process on RUclips, all of which means the video will be down until evening. I decided to let it stay. Apologies.

110 promo or not promos are first come first serve and the fancy pack are free with prerecord of a box extras left overs are 50 each.
And the moral of the story is "Just hope that your box has Oko"

The true genius of this is that the professor's preferred format is Pauper. So at the end of the day he basically got 4 booster boxes of free commons. Well played professor. Well played.
It doesnt work exactly like that. It's not because a card is common that its gonna play pauper, i fact its very rare that it does. From this set its basically just the blue land that comes untapped

I still know nothing of the card game but i always watch your videos. The art on the cards and the lore behind stuff is always fun to read.
I love the little snafu's in the editing from time to time, for me they enhance the authenticity, humanize the content. On the last game knights I watched, there was an editing error as well, but when TCC does it here I always appreciate it more. We all make mistakes!
Good stuff prof, keep it up. Also to everyone else: yes there is a mistake in the audio at the end, no you shouldn't let it bother you. Everyone makes mistakes.

It don't mind it. But it sure absolutely fucked with my ability to understand. I'm good with most audio artifacts except overlapping voices from the same person in the same general tone. I had to replay it twice, and I don't know why. It's close to his standard entreaty and the end of videos.

Ah yea, one of my favorite types videos. Poured a big cup of OJ, got some snacks, and put this up on my tv to sit down and watch.
Man, even without the (pretty lucky) collector's pack and BoB promo, that first box was just fantastic. It always feels nice to open 2 good planeswalkers, esp when one is as powerful and expensive as Oko. Not sayin' buying boxes for value is worth it.... but that WAS a pretty cool box. Goes to show you should always purchase your new booster boxes from the *FAIR* local game shop owner :)
I bought one of the planeswalker precon decks just cause, and out of the two boosters that came in it i got a Foil Alt Frame/Art Murderous Rider. That has been the peak of my luck in opening packs in last couple years. I got super excited over it.

Throne of Eldraine was my first time getting to buy a box since I started playing a year ago. I made out like a bandit. Six mythics including a borderless Oko. I had a blast with it.
The fact that he was so calm when pulling the borderless garruk 😂
It feels weird to me that foil lands are still $2 a pop when you get an entire pack of them with the bundles now.
They were never really priced vs supply and demand, they are priced what people will pay for them. And honestly, people will still pay 2 dollars for them even with the increased supply.

We all just started playing in July so Eldraine is our first set release. We bought a booster just to boost our card inventory. No plans to sell any of those, especially with everyone in the house (two adults and an 8-year old) preferring different colors. Where we did basically play the Booster Box Game was with the Collectors version. When I bought a box on that Saturday, the clerk was telling me about one customer managing to trade in for a new Collectors box five times before running out of value. All in the same day. He was cracking the packs there in the store. But when I was finally able to bring in the cards we didn't want (like anything foil) that Thursday, the owner had called a halt to all purchasing until this coming Monday. The prices were fluctuating too wildly and they paid more for cards the first couple days than what they're now selling for. So now I have no idea what I'll get offered next week. I'm just hoping for enough trade-in value to get the rest of the cards we want, but it's a crazy ride.
Heres the problem card collectors never think of, unless you have a buyer, the listed price really doesnt mean much. maybe a shop owner can make money, but even if you sell to a shop they still take a cut. these things are meant to be bought if you enjoy them. not necessarily for flipping. still the overall video is fun, just dont think your going to buy a bunch of boxes and make instant cash
I'm glad I was wrong with my predictions even if I was off by 1. This made me happy to see and I feel like I can buy cards again
this may sound facetious, but i genuinely look forward to listening to that royalty free music in tandem with pack suspense

I have a suggestion for your Booster Box game videos- while showing the current progress in the price amount of cards above 2$ (which is great) I would love the see the track of the opened boosters / total boosters counter as well so we can know if we hit half the target price after you have opened half of the boosters in the box.
These videos are the best parts and the new sets!

I think the MTG gods were smiling upon me today. I recently got into magic and decided to buy an Eldraine box for the Hell of it. Got cards like: fabled passage, Garruk, Oko, Gadwick and Murderous eider to name a few. Love this game. :)

The packs look so weird, since the packs at my LGS closer to the East coast have rares and stuff at the back
the difference between japanese made and american made booster boxes. japanese ones have higher quality, but have the backwards ordering.
The initial release had the order flipped. Second printings onward had the regular order.
Value on Throne boxes is insane. The full art planeswalkers they put in it really help lift the EV. Just don't overspend. You can get sealed boxes for $90 online, and at that price it's pretty safe.

Haven’t priced out my booster box, but a few noteworthy cards I pulled where Garuk, a foil Once Upon a Time, and a foil Embercleave. Got Castle Ardenvale a few times, with no other castles in site :p

You pulled so many giant killers! I needed those for my verity circle deck and had to buy individually because I didn't get one in two boxes
I bought 4 Booster and the two Plainswalker Decks from Eldrain for 45€ together. So i got 8 booster in total, in the second booster i opened was Oko, thief of crowns and i got a Fabled Passage and some other ~2-4€ cards.
I love your content Professor. Wanted to be specific and let you know at the 38:37 mark of the video, when the frames fade into each other there is an audio leak. Sounds like from another video. I would assume this happened in the editing process. Just wanted to make you aware as your videos are always top notch. Keep up the fine work my man.

Booster Box Game and Is It Worth It To Buy - I anticipate more to watch these than any other RUclips content, and that says a lot
Am i tripping balls, or did they shift around the pack alignment?
The boosters made in Japan have higher quality cards, and the pack alignment is backwards. American ones have the Rare in the back of each pack.
Plazstic I really dislike the rare in the front alignment. It's much better to build up anticipation by looking at other cards first. Besides usually you'll just take the rare and disregard the others if the rare is first which is lame.
@@swain1153 I like it as I think the opposite. For opening boxes its the best as you harvest the rare/foil and get rid of the jank. Outside of draft I dont know a single person who cares about commons
If you want to maintain suspense, you could always pull from the back or flip it over, I suppose?
As a commander player, I love looking through the commons and uncommons. Its really cool to look at them in terms of how they interact with my various commanders. Many of them are surprisingly good.
