The most tragic thing to happen to me in Genshin Impact was the time I pulled a 4 star and a 5 star back to back on the single pulls (I have horrible luck so getting a 4 star is hard enough) and it was fucking Amber and a polearm.

-Jean (also dont mind, used her till I got Zhongli)
-Skyward Bow (also dont mind)
-Jean (again. Just why game)
-Lost prayer (dont mind since it can be Mona’s weapon)
-Skyward bow (again...why do I get copies only)
-Lost prayer (AGAIN. THE GAME HATES ME)
-Qiqi (very good. Too bad I alredy have a max lvl 80 Chongyun and I will NOT redo all cryo stuff again (maybe in the future)

Standard banner is such a bittersweet thing. The same banner that uptil 60 rolls gave nothing but trash. I’m talking c2 amber, all fav weapons for classes I don’t need fav weapons for, not a single new character or cons I wanted. In the last 30 rolls though, I was close to pity and the primo gems I spend to get to pity, I’ll get back in 1.3, for a fish cons , kaeya c1 which is pretty nice because I want to build a freeze team and for pity, thank the archons it was a Keqing instead of a weapon.

Okay here’s what I do when I want a certain character it’s not fully guaranteed but hey so :
- go to a place that fits the characters aesthetic example: for Rosaria go to dragonspine or something
-eat the meal that is their favourite dish
-start praying to zhonglis dump truck
-scream no pull today constantly while wishing
-wish
-get the character

storytime: i was pulling on the venti banner because i wanted sucrose: good for crowd control, i needed another anemo other than traveler :')
but i realized that i was at 84 pulls, and still without a 5 star. so i stopped pulling, because venti is wasted with me since im not that good with archers and i don't use them that much. instead i looked at what banner was after and it was childe. and even if he is an archer too he can also switch to melee, and i thought "that's great, because i can practice on how to use an archer, without sacrificing the dps of my team that i would have with having a melee character instead".
and so it started, my quest to farm as much primogems as i could, because i was very scared of the 50/50. so i managed to get around 35 wishes while the venti banner was on, and waited for the childe one.
i got to the pity 5s and lost the 50/50 (i got mona, wich is good, but not what i was searching for)
for the whole childe banner i farmed so fucking much, i explored all of the map, opened all the chests i could find using a map, did the daily quests and tried to get all the stars in the abyss, i completed story quests, world quests, character quests, web events, everything that could give me primogems because i knew that now i had childe guaranteed.
yesterday, on my 77th pull, i got him.
f2p players, it is a possible feat, don't lose hope, if you prepare beforehand you can pull the 5s you're searching for :D

TIP TO GET MORE 5 STARS:
If you want to get more characters/better items go to the shop, then purchase the fate with the primos. For some reason when me and my friends wish from the fate instead of primogems, we've been luckier.
I wanted to try and get qiqi, $15.00 later and I got a fawking Amos, bow. When I tell you I cried on the inside I mean it. I have no 5 star characters so I felt ashamed.

I contemplated wether I should wait until I had 6 more acquaint fate for the beginners banner (haven't completed it yet lol) then I decided I'd do a pull on the permanent one. I didn't really expect anything good but then I saw how the start turned golden and i was expecting a weapon or Mona or Qiqi....

I have amos' bow and jade spear. And those are only 2 5 star things I own. I don't have any 5 star characters. The thing is I pulled those 2 when I first started playing the game and had no clue how the game works and that not all characters are free. Literally my first 10 pull gave me amos' bow and second 10 pull gave me jade spear. I've been very unlucky ever since. I keep pulling 4 star spears and barely get any 4 star characters. It's a pain..
