TLDR: Abaddon. Here's the long version too if you like. Abaddon was once the commanding arch-angel of the Hellguard, a vanguard force of angels tasked over watching Hell for any signs of aggression towards the White City and Heaven as extension. He was the overall military chief of Heaven until he decided to break the seals in a bid to ambush the Lords of Hell, wiping both humanity and demons off the face of the universe. Needless to say, he failed in this gambit and doomed himself, his legion and the trust placed in him by the Council of the White City. Abaddon then took up the mantle of the Destroyer, a very powerful demonic power given to him by Lilith and Lucifer. He did this as a last desperate effort to save himself from certain death in the hands of his superiors. In Darksiders I War kills him by tearing off his wings and letting him bleed out for a while, before impaling him with the Armageddon Blade. All this while his previous junior officer Uriel watches the gruesome execution.

Corruption is a physical force in darksiders
I'd guess tempting is optional and you have to accept it. Corrupting may be forcing something into them, maybe?

@@itarH the ending of two lines up with the ending of one.
Druing deaths fight with the corrupted angel we see war fighting abbadon
No. Genesis, 3,2,1
Actually it’s a bit complex
Genesis happened 1st for sure
3 happened try right after War was captured by council , in the end of 3 we see Luce talking about corruption taking over
So 2 happens after 3 , Death does whatever it takes to save War ,
Later War goes on and breaks the seal in 1 ,
So basically it’s G> 1st half > 3>2 > 1 last half
Order is Genesis, apocalypse of part 1 , 2 and 3 happen at the same time immediately after war is imprisoned then afterwards the rest of part 1
So is the second ending the canon one where the seals were forged for the pact?
Yes
he is the only one who is holding his weapon he is Death
is the leader after all
so death is alive?
This is the prequel.
The end game of DS2. From Death comes life. He sacrifised nephilim to resurect human kind. But he is alive, his story has not finished.
In DS 2, after death sacrifices the Nephilim to save human kind, the crowfather says "The number of riders, shall ever be four" . I suppose they basically can't die forever and are resurrected whenever they are called.

Remember, whether the rider is alive or dead. Breaking the 7th seals means summoning them whether they died or alive. Hence the ending of DS1
I would like more spin off and like the sixth game, go and destroy everyone with all horseman
