Been casting and loading that bullet now for nearly 60 years. Super accurate, and feeds like a champ. Even loaded it in a 45 Colt cartridge just for fun, and it was very accurate in a Henry Big Boy rifle too. Yup, it has to be my favorite 45 Auto bullet.😉
@@viejo2a Yes sir, I like to experiment with loads way outside the box at times. Used a decent amount of TiteGroup or Universal and a taper crimp. Not bad in a SAA revolver, but the Henry really surprised me. 😳

His name was Walter Bunning, just like mine. There is also a well known architect in Australia of the same name, but no relation. I have a number of letters written by my great uncle Walter. He was ultimately slain by a disgruntled ranch hand at the station.

Thanks for that. We are learning about what happens when we use data from the Lee manual with “any old bullet” of the indicated weight. To my knowledge, no one has done a test like this before. Are you saying that you have shot all these bullets with the same charge, and already know what the outcome is? The shooting clips are the minimal part of this. The bigger piece is the differences in loading COAL vs what Lee gives, and the differences in performance that will transpire. Stay tuned, and pay attention to the data page. Much more to come.🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
