I was fortunate enough to meet with the then President of Bell Helicopter back in 1986 at yhe AUSA Convention. As a green suit maintainer, I was shocked at how the Procurement Team ignored all of our requests and pushed forward with the AH-64 and UH-60 programs. The Cobra to this day is as formidable as the 64 & while I'm not a big fan of the N model Huey, I can still see the cost-effectivenrss of such an airframe in the Army inventory. Even today, the Navy is regretting retiring the F-14, so it's only natural the Army must be feeling the same pain. Batyle-proven, easy logistics & training, cheaper per unit...

Croatia needs for her defense to buy more stuff like:
~A-10 warthogs
~AH64 apache
~F16 or F18
~MLRS270
~improve her air defense
~improve naval defense
~improve her radar control
~increase number of army personel
~to put back regular army service(training) for its citizens for 6-8 months
Croatia has to have an army which is capable to defend Croatia from agression like you have witnessed in 90'is,when the Serbian Radicals and Muslim Radicals had plans to eradicate Croats from their land in Croatia and Bosnia&Herzegovina!
You can't allow for history to repeat itself!

nice video, but it looks like shortly after, like a year or two after this release, the army chopped funding to upgrade the 58 and put it all into drones and the newest AH-64E.
The US Army should have upgraded the Kiowa and keep them flying. These are rugged little choppers can do the scout mission at a cheaper cost than the Apache.

The OH-58D was the same old pig in a new dress. The OH-58A/C was a big POS compared to the OH-6
