    Best slaw recipie. Cabbage shredded with box grader. Dukes mayo, white sugar touch of cider vinegar touch of salt and black pepper. Simple yet delicious. It's an old Amish recipe.

    I used Stubb's bourbon bbq sauce from the stores. Now I can try this because it's probably the same thing about and cheaper. This is the only thing I cook on the Weber grill. Except I always grilled silver queen (or equivalent) sweet corn in the husk with H2O, Cheeseoning and unsalted butter in there, wrapped back up. This coleslaw idea is my favorite along with my hot Madras curry coleslaw that I reinvented while working on cold fusion again. I just said that last bit to test everybody.) Thanks! And where do I get Ranchero? Because I can't do everything myself...

      Neither. This is a pellet cooker, so it is a compressed wood fuel. We smoke roasted first then seared directly over the wood fired flame to crisp the skin. Thanks for watching!

      I’ll tell you what I don’t like. He dresses like a “good ol’ boy” and has the long beard, etc. to evoke some kind of backwoods dude who learned BBQ from his mammy’s knee, Yet he calls himself “Chef Tom” and loves to throw around words like “emulsify” and “BBQ flavor profile” and “savory applications”. The recipes are good and he is creative. But I wish he would lose the good ol’ boy persona. Malcom Reed is the real deal. His Mississippi accent and persona are authentic.

    I don’t think most people desire the work nor have the knife skills to julienne a carrot and it takes a lot longer than putting it through a mandolin or even a cheese grater. Plus the thinner julienne of carrot would blend in better with the slaw.

    • @allthingsbbq
      @allthingsbbq  7 лет назад +4

      For the flavor. Bourbon infused sauces are one of our favorite things around here... especially with higher proof spirits like this Virgin Bourbon. If you can't have alcohol, simply leave it out and adjust some of the spices to keep the sauce from being too sweet (adjust to taste essentially).
