I didn't realize how technical painting could be but I'm not surprised. Though, to be honest I never thought about these things while painting and I probably won't go in depth in terms of heat-setting, type of paper, etc. For me, painting has always been, for fun and enjoyment; not the more technical aspects.
Oh yes, I mean it won't matter for a lot of people, and won't make much difference for them, but for some the properties of the materials will definitely affect some specific outcomes. For example, I did an underpainting in Inktense sticks, thinking the colours wouldn't move when I painted over them, but then they did, which affected the rest of my painting. I also find that different papers make a big difference in general with painting, for example.
Just picked up this set for £11 on Amazon - I already have the pastel and graphitint palettes so it does have some repeats for me but I think this is such a beautiful complete little kit that for £11 it was a no brainer
I’ve wondered about the little Derwent palette in the past! I’ve seen a couple of people review it, but they just swatched the colours as they were and (a) didn’t use them in a painting and, (b) they didn’t mix the colours, so I was worried that the colours wouldn’t mix well. It seems the opposite is true and you can make some lovely colours! Lovely painting! Also, I get the same joy when looking at some of my art supplies as how you described seeing your coloured pencils in the case. 😅 On evenings when I’m just too tired to consider painting, I’ll just organize and art drawer and still feel happy 😊.
Yes, it's a nice little lightweight sketch set, I'd say, though not what you'd use for fine art, as none of the paints are true watercolours. Organising art materials is definitely delightful too!!
Haha, yep! It's from Temu. I have searched everywhere to see if they were ripping off the design from another company, but can't find a similar one to buy instead. It didn't have a title/company name though. Search 'Round Square Decorative Seal', if you're interested.

I really hope you feel much better today. That stamp for paint swatching ... wow 😮 ... Where on Earth have you found it?😆 It looks fantastic! 😍🤩 Please, take good care of yourself ❤💞

I'm so interested in them but I'm looking somewhere to buy the pans individually 😅 honestly I don't mind that they aren't 100% permanent, no art supply is perfect but as long as I can glaze without the under layer disappearing that's fine by me.
I actually really like them - I just wish they were more accurately marketed. I even bought the complete set of paints when they were reduced on Prime Day. They're back in England, so haven't had a play yet! (That's the Inktense ones.)

You are welcome. I tried to link it and or add a picture and I cannot. But it should pull up with those exact words. I enjoy your videos! I’m in Nebraska USA.
That's such a lovely way to swatch a paint palette!

What is the stamp name? I’ve been looking for a something similar to ease swatching. Thanks. Hope you’re feeling more yourself?!

I had trouble linking too. I mentioned to some other queries that 'Round Square Decorative Seal' worked for me.
